Chapter 19: First Kill

Grabbing their stuff, they departed in the middle of the night towards the forest. In the forest, it was dark and eerie and it scared Yi Luo a little, he had never dared to travel beyond the village even if he was running away from someone.
He had heard about the countless beasts, monsters, evil fairies that'll lure you and take you away and that many never return after entering the forest.
"Will i not make it out anymore?" Yi Luo asked scared.
"What are you talking about?" Jing Jie asked as he look annoyingly at Yi Luo.
"The villagers had all said that if you entered the forest you'll never return back to the village." He explains.
"Thats because theres a whole new world outside of this forest. Its just to scare childrens like you from entering the forest and losing your way" Jing Xuan explained to Yi Luo, as she placed her stuff in a small 'cave' she'd found it was more like an pretty deeply indented wall.
However it was enough for all of them to stay inside and avoid any rain if there is any. Jing Jie(mystical beast) set up a protective barrier around the cave, and they headed to sleep resting for the day.
The next day, Jing Xuan woken Yi Luo up at dawn and started training him. She lends him her small dagger and instructed him the task of finding food for breakfast.
"Stay within this area, if you're in danger just shout for me." Jing Xuan instructed.
The fastest way to train Yi Luo is for him to experience everything first hand and for him to have a strong sense of survival.
"Only call me if you are really in danger, you must fight to survive. If you don't kill, you'll be killed do you understand?" She asked.
"Yes"
She headed back to the cave and started her cultivation. She's been busy refining pills that she hadn't cultivate for quite a while, she also haven't tried and practice with her new bow.
Yi Luo held the dagger close to his chest as he timidly walked around the area looking for food. He spotted some fruits on the ground and picked them up placing the fruits into his little bag.
As he was walking, he seemed to have gotten used to the surrounding and wasn't as scared as before. When he was washing the fruits he picked up at a river, he heard a loud sound coming from bushes.
He whipped around so quickly and stood in a defensive stance as he raise his dagger at the direction of the bush. He looked around his surrounding and realised that he had walked too far away from the cave.
Slowly, a beast on four with purple stripe with green eyes walked out of the bush and started circling around Yi Luo. Without waiting for Yi Luo to comprehend anything, the beast pounded on Yi Luo and slash his chest in a whoop.
Like a psycho, after the beast had slash Yi Luo the beast licked its claw. Yi Luo was struggling in the beast hold to get out, to run, but it was no use he couldn't get out.
I'm too weak... I'm going to die...
Yi Luo hand reached down to his dagger and tightly gripped on the handle. Yi Luo used all his strength and kicked the beast, the beast stumbles a little and Yi Luo took this opportunity to run away.
But the Beast wouldn't have that, it rushes towards Yi Luo and slash his leg causing Yi Luo to fall back on the ground. This infuriated the beast, it once again pounded on Yi Luo and slash his chest at the left side, Yi Luo's once white hanfu top is now stained red with his blood.
The beast growled before it makes its way to Yi Luo's neck.
I need to survive. If i die, I'm being ungrateful to jiejie. I need to get strong to protect her, she saved me. I want to live!
He grabbed his dagger tightly and with a hard swing his stabbed it into the beast eyes. The sound of the dagger stabbing into the beast eye caused the killing intent in Yi Luo to raise. He pushed the dagger deeper into it's eyes and he started stabbing and slashing on the beast very quickly, without letting the beast fight back.
The dagger dripped with blood, his white hanfu had became a red hanfu stained with both his blood and the beast blood. Yi Luo didn't know, but when he was killing the beast he had a smile on.
As though he had finally been released, it wasn't known to Jing Xuan but from this day on he'll became a blood thirsty killer to those that harm or threatened her.
