221 chapter 21After sending off sheng sheng Xia and Long both laid down on the dewy grass. They were actually in weird grassland, where people have made paths in the middle and run around. He even saw many girls who were running around exposing their hands... some even wearing revelling short pants.

Xia glanced to his side and gazed at the towering structures. Some were made of shimmering glass and some looked like they were made of rocks. “Long, where do you think we are?”

Long silently hummed. “I think we are in one of the rifts. ‘sigh’ it will be really hard to return to our realm now,” he mumbled with his eyes closed.

Xia rolled over to him and cupped his face. “I’m sorry...we are here because of my mistake,” he whispered solemnly.

“It’s not your fault, darling. I’m just glad you are still by my side nothing matters,” Long hugged him tight and kissed the nape of his neck.

Suddenly someone tapped their back with a stick. “Sirs, this is a public park. No public display allowed,” the man said with a frown. A small cigar hanged from his mouth, emitting smoke as he spoke.

Xia pouted and sat up. “But sir, he is my lover, why can’t I?.....”

“No means no, so please separate or leave,” the man said, still frowning.

Xia and long sighed and separated. As much as they wanted to continue hugging each other, the situation told them not to.

Xia pouted hard and glared at the new man. “We are separated,”

The man nodded and walked away with his stick. In the distance, he was shouting at some kids who were happily running around.

“I think it’s his land that we are on. Let’s go somewhere else,” Xia whispered with a sad sigh.

“We can’t. They spatial rift might open in the same spot,” Long gestured to the sky right above them. “Let’s wait and see how the rift is reacting and then we shall go around,”

And so the two waited and waited....nothing appeared. By the third day they were chased out of the so called ‘public park,’

While walking out, Xia sighed and held his lover’s hands. “You said the rift would appear soon,”

“yes, I forgot to anticipate that the flow of time in their realm would be vastly different from ours,” Long whispered and held him close. The moving magic carriages that the inhabitants called ‘cars,’ were rushing around here and there so they had to be careful.

They walked on the painted white lines to cross eth pathway along with the other people to enter another lane. On the way, Xia spotted a shop with a lot of things. There war few people sitting by the window and eating noodles.

“Long, long, let’s eat noodles. I’m hungry,” he whispered, touching his growling tummy. These few days they both stayed on the same spot waiting for the rift without any food or a drink.

Long kissed his cheeks and nodded. But they both ran into a small problem. The shop was closed using a glass door. They tried pulling it, but the door won’t open. “Long, shall we break this?”

“We can but I don’t prefer to disrupt anything in this rift or it might cause major damage to this space,” Long whispered with a frown.

The cashier watched them standing out with a small frown. ‘What are those weirdos doing not coming in? Gods, they have been standing out for three hours now,’ he thought as he was sorting through the cash register. ‘Maybe they are shy and need a small push,’ he thought. He walked over to the door and opened it. “Are you guys coming in?”

“Yes, thank you,” Xia cheerfully whispered and walked in and Long followed.

The two people in cosplay walked around and then came forward in front of the cashier. “I would like some noodles,” Xia said.

The cashier led them to the instant noodle section. “These are vegetarian and these are non vegetarian.” He said and walked back to his post. Soon eth two brought over a hand full of instant noodles. “Is that all? Shall I ring them up?”

“No, I want the noodles in them,” Xia gestured to the customer who was eating.

The cashier sighed. “Yes, but you have to pay before you cook it,”

Long nodded and dropped a gold piece. “This will cover the cost, right?”

The cashier held his aching head “sir, we only accept cash or card,”

“Then what about gold or silver? You won’t accept it? Xia whispered anxiously.

“No, only cash or card. You can paypal if you want as well,”

Xia turned to long and pouted. “What is cash? Where do we get it Long? I’m so hungry I just want my noodles. This world sucks,” he cried.

Watching him cry, the cashier’s heart relented. “Hey look, there are a few food that are expiring today you can have it if you want but these noodles..... you have to pay for them,”

“Where is the free food?” Xia whispered with shimmering eyes.

The cashier directed them to the small aisle with frozen food he picked up a tuna sandwich and an expiring juice carton. “Here, these and these are free.”

Xia happily took the food and rushed out. He removed the plastic cover and ate with relish. The sandwich was cold, but it was filling and the juice was a little too sweet but he did not complain.

Long watched him eat with a small smile. ‘waah, he is super cute. I really want to eat ‘him’ now.....’ he glanced around at the numerous people and held back. ‘I hope we could find a place for us to stay,’

They were sitting out the store and eating the evening sun was bright and hot. Right then a ‘car’ rushed directly towards them and stopped. A pink haired man walked out. He was wearing weird black spectacles and grey clothes that looked tight as heck.

The man removed his spectacles and walked over to Xia. “you....you look like my master. No..you are my young master,” he said and gaped. He sat opposite to them and whispered, “What are you doing here, young master? Aren’t you supposed to be in the mid tear realm?” he whispered.

Xia paused, chewing. “who are you? I don’t know you,”

“But master, it’s me, Boa Hu,” the man whispered with a huge grin.

“I still don’t know you,” Xia answered and drank from his juice box.

“master~ I’m your darling fox. How could you forget me, ahh? I’m deeply hurt. Oh I forgot, you were reborn, you probably don’t remember anything about your past,” he said with an exaggerated sigh.

Long could not tolerate this man hording his lover’s attention. “you…he is saying he does not know you, right? Get lost,” he shouted.

“You, don’t intervene.” The man said and glared at him.

Xia chewed the last morsel of bread and glanced at the two. “Hu, isn’t that your name? I don’t understand what you are talking about. I am not your master,”

“it’s okay master, all you need to know is that I am your loyal follower.” Boa Hu whispered.

Long had enough of his chatter. He helped his lover up and continued walking away.

“master why are you walking? why don’t I take you in my car?” Hu whispered with a small smile.

Xia stopped, he glanced at the shinning magic carriage and gulped. He tugged at his lover’s sleeve and whispered, “can we?”

Long leaned down and whispered, “he is suspicious, don’t trust him to easily,”

“but…but he doesn’t seem malicious,”

Long sighed. He knew that his lover’s intuiton was impeccable, yet still.... “but I don’t trust him at all,”

Xia sighed and nodded. “okay then,”

“Um master, ditch the guy, lets go to your house,” Bao Hu whispered with a huge smile.

“Huh? My house? I have a house here?” Xia whispered enthusiastically.

“My house is your house master,”

“oh,” all the enthusiasm waned away. “lets go long,” he dragged his lover towards the road.

“master~ wait for me~” Boa Hu shouted and followed after them.

The man kept following them relentlessly till they reached the park.

“master, have you been staying out in the cold? How sad, please my master, I have a warm bed and hot food in my house. And that can accompany you as well,” he pointed at the glaring dragon.

Xia thought for a second. It was actually cold out in the open. the thought of hot food made his stomach growl. “umm, Long, lets stay there for a day. I’m a little hungry,” he whispered rubbing his stomach.

Long sighed. “I have put you through misery. I accept, lets stay with that ‘guy’ for a day,” he whispered and hugged him tight.

On the side, the pink haired man had a mysterious smile on his face. ‘lured you in, you little lamb,’ he thought, hiding his smile with his hands.
