He waved his hands again. The bridge shook and creaked. Small cracks started to spread across the road. The many other occupations on it started panicking. Like headless chicken they all ran around. Some even got hurt in the stampede.

Xia glanced at this and frowned. “Long is there a way to help them,”

“I can distract him, how about you sweep them off this bridge with a wave,” Long shouted, waving his whip around.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Xia nodded. The water abided his wishes and formed into a huge snake again. He slowly swept through the bridge. Some humans slipped and slid along the wave. Grimacing, he reduced the force of it. Soon all the spectators were escorted with a few bruises.

“I did it!”

Long glanced back and smirked. “Well done, baby, now get here. Let’s beat this man up,”

“Hehe okay,”

The crack slowly expanded into a hand wide gap and the whole bridge started crumbling. Long already expected this. He jumped back and hugged his lover close.

With a small kick, he accelerated higher. As a dragon he had always been taught to levitate as a kid, so floating on air was easy as pie.

Boa Hu growled louder and sent forward many suspension cords. This time they all coiled together to form a huge worm like shape. Long tried whipping it but even his fire was not able to slice thought them. The huge coiled wires charged at them at maximum speed.

“Shit!” long mumbled and dodged.

Xia in his arms saw this and sent for the huge stream of water. His water stream was not able to stop the attack, but it was able to slow it down until Long could slice it down. He glanced at the dragon and smirked. “We make a good team,”

Long met his gaze and smirked. “Yeah, we do,”

Boa Hu could not watch this anymore. “If a bridge can’t stop them then,” he shuffled through his pockets and brought out a few Lego men. He tossed them over the bridge soon as they all grew exponentially into Giant Lego monsters.

Long glanced at it with a confused look. “Why are the men so…..so ugly? It smells familiar though,” he whispered.

“I think it’s made of that same substance…plas—tic,” Xia added silently.

Long nodded and held his whip tightly. ‘if it was really made of plastic, then it would be easier for me to slice through them,’ he thought with a smirk. “Is that all you’ve got? Wow, I thought, the seven great demons would be powerful enough to defeat an entire realm. But it looks like it was all folklore, Tsk, Tsk,” Long said with a condescending expression.

“You….die,” Boa Hu shouted. He jumped on one of the Lego men and watched the others attack the dragon. ‘This should definitely kill him. How dare eh underestimate my powers….this royal brat he is still wet behind his ears,’ he thought but his lips unknowingly rose up in a small smile.

The huge Lego men marched towards Long with their plastic sword held up high. Even though it might not slice through anything it was heavy enough to smash thing into pieces.

Long hugged his lover’s slender waist and whispered, “Darling, can we piggy back?”

“Yes,” Xia crawled to his back and wound his hands around his neck loosely. “This okay,”

“hmm,” Long softly kissed his hands and went to fight.

The plastic men were easier to deal with than he expected. Je jumped around as he kept slicing into them one by one. A charred smell filled the atmosphere from all the burning plastic. After slicing through the last one, Long gloatingly glanced at the demon. “Again, is that all?”

Boa Hu smirked mysteriously.

‘Something is wrong,’ Long glanced back to find a huge sword smashing towards him. Cussing out loud, he dodged the blow, yet the force of it made him tumble and fall. Even then he made sure to fall head first so that his lover on his back would not be hurt.

“yaaa, from all the talk I thought you would be able to dodge that small blow,” Boa Hu whispered with a wide smirk.

Long growled and stood up. His entire face was scratched up and his hands were bleeding. He glanced at the plas—tic men to find them reattaching themselves. ‘How? I just sliced through them.’ He thought, biting the insides of his cheeks.

“Ha-ha, you’re wondering how right? Since I’m a senior ill explain. They are plastic, got it. They are indestructible, even nature can’t decompose the naturally. Then how could your puny fire defeat them,”

Xia pouted. He then took out the small transparent sheet from his sleeves. ‘This thing is so bad? I thought it looks pretty,’ he watched it with eyes narrowed. “Then how do you destroy it?” he shouted.

“Master…this…it really can’t be destroyed. Human created this polymer and made it almost indestructible. Even after thousand years they can’t decompose,” Boa Hu whispered sadly.

“Then why are you using them, huh? Aren’t making the environment bad?” Xia shouted.

“But master…how can you blame me? I want to defeat him and make you see my worth,” Boa Hu whispered and waved his hands.

The huge Lego men dashed forward with their swords held high.

Long anticipated this long back, so he dodged the blow easily. With his keen eyes, he noticed the black slash marks from his sword on each of them. ‘He is lying, looks like they can be melted like metal.’ He glanced at his whip and thought, ‘if a whip was too small to destroy them completely then…I really neat an explosion to take them down,’

“Xia, this is going to be dangerous, so can you stay back,” he whispered.

Xia shook his head and held onto him tight. “Nope, I will be your support,”

“Not now, please listen. I need to make a huge explosion. You might get hurt,” Long whispered softly.

Right at the moment, a huge Lego man slashed them. Long was not able to dodge it in time, so he threw his lover away.

The huge sword smashed right on him.

Xia saw this with his eyes wide open. “Long….long,” he whispered, but none of his whispers were answered. He crawled closer and pushed the sword, but it did not budge. “long,….answer me….Aotian!” he shouted. His heart slowed down and cooled as well.

He could not feel anything else.

Bao Hu walked closer and held his shoulders. “Master, he is gone… move on, it was never a good idea to be with him in the first place.” He whispered with a sigh.

Xia shrugged his hands away. “You….you demon!.. How could you… how could you do this…what have I done for you to make me suffer like this….. WHY,” he shouted. He pushed him away and held his sword his hand. The glove trembled on his hands as if feeling his overwhelming anger. “WHY!” he shouted again and launched a water stream at him.

Boa Hu staggered. “I—I…master, I did it for you,” he stuttered.

“I NEVER ASKED YOU TO,” xia screamed and held his gloved hand out. The glove shimmered and launched a purple stream out of it. It was all the energy the glove had stored from its tribulation.

Boa Hu could feel the overwhelming power from this attack and dashed away. But the thunder followed him and attacked him, regardless. He got smashed on the ground and a huge part of his back got burned.

Xia wiped his tears away and glanced at him. He did not have the heart to kill him though, so he ran back to the spot Long was hurt and tried to push the plastic man away. “Long…are you in there…please answer….. please” he begged as tears rolled down his cheeks uncontrollably.

Boa Hu rolled over and glanced at his master. His tears brought a weird pain in his chest. ‘Master….why do you care about him so much? Even in your past life you left us for him…why is he so special?’ he thought as tears blurred his vision. ‘But this is for the good, he will finally escape his doomed fate,’ he thought and wiped his tears away.

“Master….it’s for your own good,” he growled. Yet still he freed the dragon from under the Lego man.

Xia rushed back to Long and checked his pulse. Thankfully, he was alive but just lost consciousness. Wiping his tears, he glanced back at Bao. “What is for my own good? Hurting my lover is for my good? Tell me, did my father send you. He is so hell bent on making me suffers right. Last time it was Icarus, now you....it never ends. ‘Sob’ tell him to leave us alone. I don’t want anything to do with him….I hate him,” he sobbed and hugged his lover tight.
