118 Chapter 118 – Done with the tests

Thanks to Alvin they were able to leave the complicated maze called the campus. Aiden and Elle joined them halfway.

in ten minutes they reached the exit. Seeing the wide opened door, Feng let out a sigh of relief.

‘I’m never walking these halls alone again, never,’

The sun had gone up above their head, and her small stomach slightly growled.

“brother Alvin was your trip to the weapons salesman bountiful?”

Alvin and his friend had gone out to visit the weapons shop before they all left for the second test, but they had come back so soon.

‘did they not find a satisfactory weapon?’ she tilted her head slightly at that thought.

Alvin just smiled casting a glance at a certain blond young man behind him. “I was worried you guys would be alone in there so I came back. These two wanted to tag along,

“I have heard a lot from my mother about the young Lineti’s and new Rofles young lady, so I convinced Alvin to let us follow him. I hope we are not intruding” the black-haired young man stepped up. “Nice to meet you, lady Rofles.” And bowed slightly.

Feng curtsied. “You must be mister William,”

The black-haired young man smiled softly. His bright amber-colored eyes shone slightly from the midafternoon sunlight. “Yes, but you can call me Will like my peers.”

“it’s too informal,” Feng then glanced at the blond-haired who had a striking resemblance to lady Beatrice. He stepped up silently and bowed.

Alvin took the liberty to introduce him. “This is Claus. He is a man of few words.”

“I see that.”

To be honest, Claus was quite the opposite of lady Beatrice. The kind lady was quite chatty, on the other hand, Claus was very silent from the moment they met. his shy blue eyes met hers once or twice. He would look away immediately with a slight blush.

‘aww so cute..’

Suddenly she felt a hand on her back. Aiden stepped up and bowed to them. “I’m Aiden and this is my twin Ethan,” he pointed to Ethan who was openly glaring at Claus. “He is a man of short temper. So, excuse him. He doesn’t like it when our dear Feng is being gawked at,”

Claus’s eyes widened slightly and he blushed bright red.

Alvin awkwardly tried to change the subject. “oh, how did you kids do in your test?”

Elle jumped him squealing. “I passed with flying colors ~ Feng what about you? you did amazing as usual, right?”

“Not that amazing. I passed the test though. I was told the third test will happen in a few days,”

“It does take a while for the teachers to sift through potential students,” Alvin nodded at the twins. “How about you guys?”

Aiden just gave a business smile at him with a thumbs up. “We passed.”

“You didn’t just pass,” Elle scoffed at him. “Do you know brother, this guy was being coveted by so many teachers. they literally had a fist fight over him. it was quite hilarious actually to see such old man pulling at each other’s beards,”

“It was,” Aiden chuckled.

Feng looked at him proudly. “So did you choose your guide?”

“Nope, I wanted to make sure that I had the best selection. So I’m waiting till the third round. I heard the principal will participate,”

“Yes, he would. But it’s rare for him to select an apprentice though. Its been almost thirty years, and he has had not one studying under him,” Alvin added with a small regretful sigh.

As they talked, they walked over to the huge gate. A few families waited there in the hot sun with their parasols out.

They spotted lady Perlin insanely.

“lady~” Feng waved at her enthusiastically.

“My babies~” lady Perlin came running to them. She first hugged Feng tightly and pulled her up into her embrace. On the other hand, she picked up Elle. “how did my favorite girls do on their test?”

“we did awesomely ~” Elle hugged her neck. “where’s uncle?”

“oh he had something to do at home.” Perlin then glanced at her cute little sons who tottered over to her. “what about my favorite men? How did you guys do?”

“we passed,” Aiden said coolly.

Ethan, on the other hand, moved closer and held her skirt. “hmm... something,”

“Aww, my cutie pie. Look at mum I want to see your face,” she lowered Feng and Elle down to pick up Ethan.

The young man froze all of a sudden with a bright blush on his face. “l-let me down, please,”

“Not unless you give me a kiss,” she kissed his cheeks. Lady Perlin then gestured for Aiden to come close.

The young blond child hid behind Alvin. “Mum I don’t wish to be embarrassed right in front of my school. What would others think...” his eyes fell on Feng especially. His love interest had always treated them as kids. If lady Perlin started to kiss and carry them around then Feng would treat them the same. “We are not kids,” he mumbled.

“yes, we are not kids,” Ethan struggled slightly in her arms.

Sighing lady Perlin lowered him. “Sad, my young men are already pulling away from their mother. Oh, how I hope I had a cute daughter like Feng,”

“I’m already half your daughter,” Feng cutely smiled at her. Secretly she did not want lady Perlin to adopt any other kids. The twins needed all the love they can get from her. And genuinely she feared that Clarina would pop up one day and try to worm her way into the family.

“of course, you and Elle are my daughters,”

“No!” Ethan and Aiden shouted at the same time. “Feng is not your daughter,”

Lad Perlin understood the implied meaning. The kids did not want to be related to Feng in any way so that it can clear a path for them romantically.

But Feng seemed quite unsure why the twins answered that way. She sighed loudly and nodded. “yes, yes I’m not your sister. But I’m your sister figure got it,”

“not even sister figure,” then said resolutely. He marched up to her and held her hand. “I wish to marry you,”

For a second everyone froze.

William and Claus beside Alvin also looked at Ethan with a peculiar gaze.

“She is older than you,” Claus added.

“So? I don’t care if she is older. I wish to marry her and that’s that,”

Adding to this, Aiden also held her other hand. “yeah, why do you restrain love with age? Our love is timeless and ageless.”

Feng awkwardly pulled her hand out of both their holds. “Kids, its not the topic we should discuss in front of school....”

“True, we shall have this conversation in our carriage. Come boys, don’t cling to her.” She pulled Ethan and Aiden away from her.

Ethan looked up at her like a wounded puppy.

Leaning low, she gently pinched his cheeks. “Give her some space. Instead of just professing your feeling show it to her,” she whispered softly.

Aiden and Ethan nodded with serious looks on their faces.

“let’s head back home now shall we,” lady Perlin gestured for them all to follow.

Alvin and his friends kindly rejected her invitation. “We still have to check out the weapons shop. If we are lucky, we might be able to find a good little dagger,”

“Be careful out there. All of you must return back home on time. William, Claus you both have to come along with Alvin. it’s been so long since I’ve met you both and I have a lot to talk about. boys, girls, let’s go,” lady Perlin rounded them up and led them to the carriage that was waiting right out the door. Beside their carriage was a showy golden decorated carriage.

A small redhead popped out of the carriage window. Claudius glared their way. “What took you so long? You obviously finished the test before me,”

Feng rolled her eyes mentally. “I had to pick up my brothers,”

Ethan and Aiden gave her a small pout.

“oh they are your brothers,” Claudius looked at them both with interest. “Anyway, I have a ball at my place. I’ll send over the invite. Come,”

Lady Perlin watched all this with a slight frown. The young lad from the Frowe family was said to be frivolous. But she didn’t expect him to be so rude as well.

She, a lady, was still in front of him but he didn’t even greet her. And he talked to her precious Feng in such a rude tone. it ticked her off in the wrong way.

Lady Perlin pulled the kids behind her. “Sorry young lad of Frowe, we do not accept the invite,”

Claudius’s golden eyes widened. “Duchess, why is it so?”

“it’s self-explanatory.” With a curt reply, she stepped into the carriage.

Feng and Elle followed after her.

Aiden and Ethan being boys had to get in after them.

As they were about to step in, an aging old man ran out the campus gates. “Wait for a minute young lad! Wait!”

Aiden glanced back with a slight frown. “Sir, I have made it quite clear that I would choose my teacher after the third test.”

Lady Perlin slightly tugged at his sleeve gesturing him to stay silent.

She hurriedly got down. “Principal, it’s quite a surprise seeing you here. I heard the news that you had left for wonder town.”

“yes yes, I just returned,” the man mumbled looking behind her at the twins. “Gods there is two of them. I have been blessed. I want them both,”

“Excuse me?” lady Perlin raised a brow.

“Lady Lineti, you know these young lads,”

“yes, they are my sons.”

The principal finally looked up at her. “Your sons? I wish to be their mentor!”
