“Go on in little one,” the kind old lady gestured for Elle to the gate. “next,” her grey eyes focused on her next.

Feng was literally sweating buckets. Biting her bottom lip, she anxiously sat down.

“Calm down little one, it’s a very small test,” the kind lady gently patted her head.

Gulping, Feng started to fill-up the form. It only had simple questions like name, age and type of awakened ability.

She filled it up.

The next part was the part she was anxious about.

“Place your hands on this my dear,” the lady pushed the crystal closer to her.

Hesitating, Feng glanced back. Lady Perlin was waving at her happily with a bright smile on her face.

‘Oh lady, I’m so scared. What happens if my identity is revealed now? The stupid system tried to kill me the last time I even uttered about my true identity.. what will I do...’

Her heart started to pound loudly in her ear.

Suddenly, a hand touched her back. Aiden stood behind her with a small smile. “Come on Feng, don’t be scared.”

“Yes, little one, this will not hurt a bit. It will only tell your bone age.”

Feng froze. “Bone age?”

‘Wait... it won’t calculate my soul’s age? Only my body’s age?’

“Come on, you are holding up the line,” Claudius said snappily.

Feng pouted and touched the crystal. Inside she was praying to the gods she did not even know to protect her identity.

The crystal shone slightly casting a bright pink light on her face.

She hesitated before letting go. Slowly she unraveled her hand and closed her eyes.

“Ten... good age. You have talent, my dear,” the old lady praised her softly.

Feng let out a breath of relief. ‘oomph... I think I almost had a heart attack.’

“Go on then, you have little ones waiting for you,” the old lady gestured to the gate.

“Meimei” Elle happily waved at her.

Feng got up dazedly and walked up to them.

“You did wonderfully,” Elle hugged her waist.

“Students, please go in for your next test,” one of the men waiting there ordered them.

Feng glanced out. Lady Perlin was waving her kerchief at them. “Go on kids, do well. We will be waiting here. My babies, do well!”

Ethan shyly blushed and nodded. While Aiden happily waved back and ran in.

Feng nodded at them and led the kids inside.

Alvin was waiting inside the gate with a bright smile on his face. “All of you did well.” he handed them all a small candy.

“Weren’t you going to the admissions office?” Feng tossed the candy in her mouth. Sweet peach flavor melted into her tongue.

“I was waiting for you guys. I’ll escort you all to the next test center. Maybe I might be able to attend a few of your tests.”

“Alvin! You are back!” two younger boys shouted from afar.

Alvin glanced back excitedly. “Yes, wait a minute. I’ll escort my sister and others to their next test and join you,”

“Just come. We are going to the magic merchant’s place. The rare grade artifact is on sale...” the dark-haired one shouted.

Alvin looked perplexed at this. He glanced at them, then at his friends.

“It’s okay brother. You can go in. I’ve been here before I remember the way. I’ll take Meimei and the others in.” Elle confidently said.

“But....” Alvin hesitantly glanced at them all.

“Go on, I can do it,” Elle assured him.

Only then did he join his friends.

Feng peered at his friends. They looked similar to the two ladies she met at the welcome party. ‘Maybe... let’s concentrate on things at hand.’

She felt a small tug at her coat tail.

Claudius stood there curiously looking at the flower pattern printed on the cloth. “it’s unflattering. why aren’t you dressed like a girl.”

“I can dress however i want to!” she pulled her coat away. “Why are you even following us? go on then. Your test center is there,”

He smacked his lips and glared up at her. “Who said I was following you? I was following them,” he pointed at Ethan and Aiden. “Hey you two, you’re strong! Let’s fight. I want to see your magic abilities!”

“Are you here to pick a fight?” Feng looked at him up and down. ‘This little kid plans to turn my two little angels into rogues!

“Yes~” he proudly said.

“Boys go in, we don’t have time to waste on riff raffs.” She urged the twin who was glaring at him deeply.

“You are a riff raff, not me!” Claudius stormed away from them.

‘Why is this kid even acting like that? weird... shit it’s because Clarina is not here. After she gets here all of these main leads will follow her like lovesick puppies.’

She did not bother with him much.

They all walked over to the next test site, which was actually inside. Walking in, she glanced around in shock. Every nook and cranny she saw was filled with beautiful architecture.

Even the floor was shimmering and beautiful.

‘why is everything beautiful in this game? I guess it’s appealing to the younger audience she rolled her eyes.

Soon they stood at a place where young kids like them were lining up in front of a door.

A guide in a white dress called them in one by one.

‘Second test... it tests our awakened ability... ah I hope I pass.’
