A small frown marred her forehead as she watched the twins. They both were dressed pretty similar, but Aiden was wearing a white suit coat while Ethan was wearing a black coat.

They both looked like cute penguins with their small posture and their hair. She just wanted to cuddle them.

But holding back the urges, she peered at them. “Do you know why I’ve called you guys here?”

They both looked at her intently.

“About the Lineti Parlov. What are your thought on him?”

“I don’t care for him,” Ethan instantly said. “But I know they intent to adopt us,”

“yes yes they do.” She held their small shoulders. At a small age of five and a half, they were already as tall as her who was ten. “But are both of you okay with it?”

“Why do you ask?” Aiden moved closer and held her hand gently. “What are your thoughts?”

“I like lady Perlin and about mister Lineti... I’m not sure how I feel about him.” Feng mumbled worriedly, touching their soft heads.

Lineti was a ruthless character but ones he loves someone, he is fervently protective. There is a chance that duke Lineti might not look favourably at the twins. But there was a chance that he might love them wholeheartedly as well. The chances were 50/50.

Even so, she was not assured that this ‘love’ he might feel for the twin will last or not. After all he was a character created only for Clarina, to help raise status.

There is also a 1% chance that this stupid game might do something weird as well.

‘God, what if the plot hurts the twins only because we they are in the way of Clarina’

Feng bit her lips anxiously walking around. Her two inch heal was not helping her at all. She just flicked them off and walked barefoot on the carpeted floor. “I don’t know what to do...”

Ethan pulled her over to the bed and made her sit down. “First, don’t bite your lips,” he pulled at the bottom lips which she was chewing on. “secondly we shall not accept their deal,”

“No!” Feng held his hands tightly. “Lady Perlin is a sweet, sweet woman. She will love you as her own. My worries should not deprive you guys of a loving family,”

Aiden sat next to her and gently patted her back. “Feng, we are not the only children available for them to adopt. It’s not like they are going to be childless forever,”

Feng nodded. “Promise me that you won’t reject their offer without any thought. Try to observe them a few days and think before you decide. They are loving... and they will love you wholeheartedly.”

Aiden nodded, but Ethan just lowered his head.

Feng gently cupped his face and kissed his cheeks. “Just as you gave me a chance to be close to you, give them once chance.”

Ethan also nodded.

She smiled softly hugging them to her boson.

‘There is something they both don’t know. Lady Perlin’s life might be at risk.’

She was not sure how she passes but her character does not exist when Clarina comes here.

‘What if it’s a ripple effect? In order for mister Lineti to care for Clarina misses Perlin has to die! I don’t want that! She is such a sweet woman.’

‘Can the adoption of the twins help avoid that?’ she glanced at the two intently.

“You both, Think about this well. You can be their family only if you want to. Lady Perlin is a very kind lady, but the decision is always yours. You can reject hear as you did with lady Hiliana,”

Her wordings seemed slightly off, but she did not have time to correct it.

Lana knocked on the room slightly. “Young lady, your mother is calling for you,”

“Yes,” Feng stood up. “Don’t forget, you have the right to make the decision. Observe Duke Lineti if you have to before you do.” She kissed their cheeks and ran out.

Ethan blushed red, holding his cheeks. “I think she just seduced us.”

“Shut it,” Aiden blushingly pushed his head away. “She like lady Perlin. Maybe we should give this a chance,”

“No way.” Ethan still firmly rejected it.

By then, they noticed the small maid still waiting near the door.

“What is it?”

“Young masters, lord duke wishes to meet you in his office,”

Ethan and Aiden glanced at each other.

“This is our chance to get to know him better.” Aiden playfully said.

Ethan still did not react well to this.

They both left their room, following the small maid.

She led them directly to a huge double door that was firmly closed. “Your highness is in there. Please wait while I knock,”‘ she bowed to them and knocked softly.

“Come in,” a strong voice came from inside.

The maid opened the heavy door of them.

Ethan and Aiden store in.

Lineti Parlov watched the little kids confidently enter the room. His fingers gently tapped the table. ‘Great posture... they really are not scared of my aura,’

As the only three duke of the nation, his aura was the most invasive and most fearful of all. Most children cry and run away from him.

He was a Great warrior, the one and only golden warrior of this country. He had seen countless heroes and warriors.

His scrutinising eyes watched every one of their steps as they got close. Even though they were little their muscles were strong and sturdy.

He stood up and held out his hand. “Hello,”

Ethan gave his hand to him with a dull look on his face.

‘Soft hands.. they must not have held a sword. Perlin did mention that they are mages. At such a young age that is really an accomplishment,’ he thought as he gestured for them to their seats.

He sat back down, but suddenly his eyes feasted upon a very adorable scene.

The young boys were short. The chairs in his office were, of course, tall to accompany an adult. The two kids struggled to get on it.

Like little frogs, they were gripping onto the cushion and were climbing onto it.

‘c-cute...’ he turned away from this adorable sight. ‘I can’t let this cloud my analysis,’

Clearing his throat, he stood up and helped them up by giving a soft push.

The green eyed twin Ethan gasped and pushed his hands away.

“I was only trying to help.”

He glared at him, biting his lips.

‘Okay, I think I might have done an unnecessary thing.’ Sighing, Lineti glanced at them both. “Lady Hiliana says that you both are very bright young men. You must have an inkling why you are here.. then..”

“We do, and we are not interested,” Ethan said, folding his hands over.

“Calm down young man, I have yet to finish,”

Ethan grumbled under his breath, glancing at Aiden.

Aiden just nodded at him, patting his hand. “Your highness the duke, we are well aware that you intent to adopt us,”

“But I don’t see a reason why we should accept,” Ethan finished his sentence with a frown.

“What benefits do you need?” Duke Lineti Parlov looked at them with his brow raised. ‘What will they demand? Are they just like those other kids? With ulterior intensions?’

“Nothing, it’s just my brother doesn’t like the idea of getting adopted by you,” Aiden openly said.

Lineti gritted his teeth. ‘What did I do? Did I make a very bad impression? But I made sure to dress up well and made sure to be ready myself as well as I could. What did I do wrong?’

He peered at them. Out of the two the young blue eyes kid was the most diplomatic. He had a smile all thought the meeting, but his eyes remained stone cold with no feeling. Whereas young Ethan had a frown, but his eyes always had a small longing in them.

He somehow got to a decision already. ‘Perlin will like them...’ he thought so, but his heart was already sliding towards their cute behaviours. ‘Maybe I might like them too.’

“I have made my decision. I want to adopt you both into my family formally,” he said without a doubt.

Aiden frowned all of a sudden. “You don’t even know us. don’t you think you are making a grave mistake?”

“I already know a lot,”

“Yeah, and what is that?” Ethan challengingly glared at him. “You don’t know anything about us! don’t you dare say that you will accept us as we are!”

“Prince Elian, Austin, I do know who you are though.” Lineti handed them a small scroll filed with magic inscription. “I know that you both are runaway young princes and your brother robin has a bounty on your head.”

“What!” Aiden shot up. “Why do we have a bounty? That bastard was the one who sold us!”

“Apparently, your brother suspects that you both stole a national secret and ran away. He is virginally on search for you both,”

Ethan glanced at Aiden with small fear shining in his eyes. They were both young, and they did not have the power to fight his annoying older brother yet. If so, they might easily get killed.

Duke Lineti stood up and moved closer to them. “You asked me earlier what benefits you will receive. I offer you protection from him and any kind of danger that comes for you. I offer you a war6m home and a family that will love you unconditionally. Do you accept?”

Aiden Curiously looked at him. “You know that we have a bounty on our head, so why do you still want us? What is YOUR ulterior motive?”

“I don’t believe a word in that report. Robin is known to be a lose man only frolicking amongst the streets. And I also know of your mother’s incident.” Lineti stood in front of him.

Ethan clenched his hands tightly.

“This is the power that comes with being a duke. Not only am I privy to every detail I want.” he tapped his finger on the magic scroll it shattered into pieces. ‘With just a flick of my finger I can kill anyone I want.”

Lineti Parlov glanced at their furious eyes. “Don’t you want revenge? I will help you,”

Ethan bit his lips. “Give us a day.”
