“Welcome lady Hiliana Rofles,” he walked down regally and stepped in front of them. He gently bowed to her with his left leg behind and with his right hand outstretched.

Lady Hiliana nodded. “It’s great to meet you after a long time. How have you been?” she held onto his outstretched hand.

He held it and kissed the back of her hand. “Very well lady,”

He then glanced at the Elle and Alvin inquisitively. “Welcome back little ones,”

“Great uncle~” Elle happily hugged his waist. “I missed you,”

“I missed you too, little cupcake,”‘ his stoic face changed slightly into a warm smile.

The man’s small, upturned eyes peered directly at her. “This must be the little Rofles lady. Welcome to our humble abode,”

Feng stiffed her shoulders and nodded. ‘This ruthless guy can smile ah...’

This guy was the game ‘glimmer redemption’s one and only powerful supported of Clarina. In her earlier stages, she was not that popular with men. She was just an orphaned young girl with a huge fortune on her head.

Many men only targeted her for that.

But our brave man who was in front of her stepped up and adopted her officially. With his social status, it was really easy for Clarina to enter the new society.

In that story line, he brings Clarina back after her family was tragically killed when she was just twelve. He raises her all alone as her daughter.

She peered at the kind lady Perlin. ‘no no no.... can’t let that happen. We can’t let that happen. But what can’t do anything to stop it. I am not even sure how she will meet her end.’ She anxiously bit her lips.

A small hand gently held her hand and pulled it away from her lips. “do you feel uncomfortable?” Ethan whispered near her ear.

“no.... I’m just thinking of something,”

“Oh...” Ethan simply patted her back. “Everything will be okay,”

Feng smiled back at him. “Yes everything will be.”

‘Except, we have a morally grey character who loves to kill people over a simple gossip standing right in front of us. Everything is just fine....’

She faked her smile.

The man’s scrutinizing gaze still lingered on her.

‘Please don’t look at me. I did not hurt your precious Clarina.”

“Dear, you haven’t introduced yourself to our newest..... Guests...” lady Perlin lopped her hands with his.

The man’s stoic expression softened exponentially. “Yes, that was a mistake on my part. Let me introduce myself. I am Duke Lineti Parlov and this is my wife Perlin Parlov. We are happy to welcome new guests.”

Lady Perlin smiled and patted his forearm. “Well done. You see, my husband gets shy around strangers. Why don’t we go see check out your room,” she happily gestured for the kids to follow.

Lineti Parlov glanced at his wife’s back with a small smile.

“You still look smitten,” lady Hiliana whispered playfully.

“I am.. every movement with her is like being immersed in sweetened honey. I fear one day I might get sweet intoxication,” he mumbled, hiding his smile with his hand.

“You know your wife’s plans, right?’

“Yes, the two boys? I see them... they have potential.. but I am not sure yet.”

“Try talking to them. You will be surprised how alike you and that Ethan are,” she patted his back and climbed up the stairs.

Duke Lineti frowned slightly. “I am not sure that would be the case.”

He saw that kid Ethan before he had a warm smile on his face when he was talking to little miss Feng Rofles.

“Maybe a talk will do us good.”

At the same time, his wife was showing them their rooms.

“This will be little Elle’s room. The one next to it is Alvin’s room and Feng’s room is right here,” lady Perlin happily showed the room.

Ethan and Aiden walked into Feng’s room as usual.

“ah ah, you both have your own rooms. It’s this way,” she gestured to follow, but they both stood frozen before her room.

“We usually share a room with Feng,” Ethan said with a straight look on his face.

Lady Perlin gasped. She glanced at her sister for conformation.

Lady Hiliana sighed and nodded. “Yes, we had a shortage of rooms, but now that we are in a spacious mansion, why don’t you both move to your own rooms,”

“But we don’t want to.” Aiden said with his signature sweet smile.

Lady Perlin froze. She was in a deep dilemma now. As per her plan, she wanted to shower the twins with love until they accept her proposal but....

It is not a good thing for men and woman to stay in a same room.

‘It will cause a social scandal,’ she wrung her kerchief.

It all came down to her morale against her will to dote on the twins.

Biting her lips, she finally glanced at them both. “You can’t. I’m sorry. This room on the opposite corridor is yours.”

Aiden lost his smile. He sadly walked into his room, and so did Ethan.

Lady Perlin softly held her chest. “I think I just lost their trust completely. What do I do? They hate me now...”

Lady Hiliana gently patted her back. “They need a good voice of authority over them or else they will just overwhelm you with their own decisions. It’s good that you established that,”

“But I think I just lost Aiden’s sweet smile,”

“Don’t worry, that smile was fake. His real smile is even prettier.”

“It was fake?! Oh Hiliana, catch me. I think I’m going to faint!”
