âI donât understand,â I ash. âYouâve wanted her for eons. Now she wants you, and youâve dock blocked her. Iâm not following the logic here.â
âThat anchor has to come up first,â Luke whirlpools. âShe needs to tame her sparks.â
âBecause youâre scared of getting your rudder burnt off? Or your propellers cranked? Or your deck ripped apart by her wind? Since when are you a weeny little wavelet, Luke? Weâre Fighting Sect for lightâs sake. Weâre sort of made for this.â
He grunts his annoyance.
âWe could wear blindfolds, Boss,â Aspen vogs.
âAnd Aspen and I could form shields so it was like we werenât even there,â Maverick rumbles. âWe wouldnât see, and we wouldnât hear. Then you could still be with her.â
âTake all the bloody fun out of it, why donât you?â I bubble. âJust give her what she wants, Luke. You clearly want her too. Youâve wanted her for a while.â
âItâs more than my rudder that wants her,â Luke backwashes. âThough, the joint effort prospect is more tempting out loud than it was when I imagined you ridealongs in my head.â
My brow fires up.
âYou know the same as me this thing between us will never last,â Luke spumes. âSheâll never choose all the things itâll take for her to be with me. Thatâs too many choices to take from her. If we start things now, before she has control of her sparks, and things go wrong, which they undoubtedly will, she wonât let me help her anymore. Sheâll totally shut me out. She could get hurt, or worse, hurt some other punk, and I couldnât live with myself if that happened. Neither could she. If she wants to be with me, she needs to tame her unruly sparks. I canât be responsible for her losing control, then not being there to protect her when she does.â
âYouâre taking another choice away from her in the process,â I pop. âHolding your balls over her head like delicious apples and expecting she wonât bite them off.â
âWhatâs the alternative here?â he seiches. âI give her what she wants, then what? Are you just meeting Ainsley for the first time? You think sheâs gonna board me and magically transform into some docile lame dame? Do you honestly think Iâd want her if that were the case? This is going to be chaos. Absolutely. Glorious. Chaos. Before I can agree to it, she has to be safe, and right now sheâs safest with me. Like this. Without the extra opportunities for things to get wrecked.â
âYouâre putting her lady bits on lockdown, and you think she wonât buck against that cage?â I spew. âSheâll just replace you with someone else. She wonât have any trouble with that.â
âShe can see anyone she wants,â he sprays, âand when that blows up in her face, because it surely will, sheâll still let me help her since it wonât have been me swashing things up.â
âI really donât think thatâs how itâs going to go, Luke. Youâre messing this up by taking her choice from her.â
He shoals his brow. âI have choices too, and hers donât supersede mine. Iâve already gone down that path. Iâm not going down it again. I get a choice here too. My choice is Iâm right here waiting, but there are conditions I wonât concede on. That anchor coming up is priority one.â
âWhat if you lose her over it?â
âThen I suppose I never really had her in the first place, did I?â he scuppers.
Heâs scared of that truth, but heâs too stubborn to change his mind on this. Heâs already decided this is the only viable option. She has to tame her sparks before heâll dock, and heâll stick to that plan come hell or high water.
âNo, I suppose not,â I cinder, âbut youâre making the wrong choice here.â
âWhat else is new?â He gathers his things and heads for the door.
âWhatâs the plan, Boss?â Aspen whooshes.
âThe planâs to not die,â Luke deadwaters, disappearing down the hall.
âHey,â Aspen tries to redirect me. âShe blocked Esha. Sheâs progressing!â
âAnd that fireball you nailed Esha with was hot as heck,â Maverick slags.
I turn to them, knowing just how to improve my mood. âAll this tephra talk got me thinking.â
They grin.
âI want both my craters plugged at once,â I smoulder, moving to the bed and stripping while they mull that over.
Iâve given them long enough to settle on the idea of all three of us. Iâm tired of them taking turns like patient little pluggers. Itâs time they take me both at once. I want to be full of them.
I lay waiting in the bed, wondering how this eruption will play out, as they whisper to each other outside the curtain. Even if they tell me no, it wonât change anything between us. Weâre fused now. A refusal canât shake our bond.
âAre you coming, or should I put out my own fire?â I call out to them.
They file into the tent, determination in their gazes.
âWe were just deciding,â Aspen outgasses.
âDeciding what?â
Aspen smirks, and I have my answer. They were deciding whoâs landing what crater to start.
âAnd?â I push.
âBetter we show you,â Maverick outcrops.
Aspen slides me down the bed, widening my thighs so he can shove his face between them. Within minutes, my conduit is tightening and Iâm crying out my first eruption. Then Aspen is pulling away and laying down beside me. Maverick guides me up so Iâm straddling Aspen, plugging my crater with his hard tephra.
âSo slagging hot,â Maverick tremors, positioning himself behind me.
Aspen doesnât move yet. He just holds me forward where I am to give Maverick the access he needs to explore the new crater heâs set to claim. I take advantage of the position by deepening our kiss, my tongue winding around his as my body shakes with anticipation.
When Maverick advances, I still, adjusting myself to the feel of them both inside me. Iâm completely full of the men I love, and I canât imagine ever wanting to be anywhere else. Then they start moving. Thatâs when I know I absolutely never want to be anywhere else except with them filling me and ringing out every last ounce of desire my fire spark has to offer.
Maverick uses my hips for leverage, and Aspen slowly starts moving in sync with him. Theyâre gentle at first, but as my moans grow more forceful, their speed increases until I think the combined pressure of that fullness will cause a Plinian eruption if it continues. Then my conduits are tightening, and Iâm crying out from the most intense eruption Iâve ever had in my life.
Mount.
Bloody.
Vesuvius.
But they arenât done. Theyâve just gotten started with me, and they keep right on pyroclasting me until I erupt three more times, and when itâs done, Iâm sure beyond any doubt, Iâll never choose between them. Theyâre mine in totality for as long as theyâll have me. They complete me, fill me, sate me. Theyâre everything I need and more than I ever dared to hope for.
