Avni heads back to her home,
And as soon as she entered into the house her mom shouted"Kha thi tu, avni? Mene tujhe hazar bar phone kiya( where the hell were you, avni? I called you a million times)".
After seeing her mom reacting like this, avni asked worriedly"Maa, kya hua? ( Mom what's wrong?)"
Her mom looks at avni with her tearful red eyes and clutches her shoulder with her trembling hands."Aakhir vo time aa he gya, avni. Hame bhanushali parivar ko apne karz ki Puri kimat ab chukani he padegi.Tujhe pta hai na tere papa mrne se pehle bohot bada karz chhod gy the.or ab, ise chukane ka sirf ek he tarika hai hame unke ghr ke ander kaam krna pdega( The time has finally come,avni. We have to pay the bhanushali family the full price of our debt. You know that your father left a huge debt before he died. And now, the only way to pay for it, is to work under Bhanushali's household.)" Her mom informed and started crying.
Avni got shocked after listening to all this and replied innocently "Maa....ham bhag kyu nhi jate?( Mom...why can't we just run away?)"
Listening to this, her mom informed"Tujhe pta hai na vo hame kahi se bhi dhund ke nikal skte hai chahe ham kahi bhi chle jaye.(you know they can hunt us down wherever we go )"
And after taking a deep breath her mom added "Vo log chahte hai ki tu jitna jaldi ho ske unke ghr chle jaye ( they demand that you move to their house as soon as possible )"
Avni got upset after listening to this and thought"I can't belive I have to leave my mom all alone"
Her mom continued further,"Ab se life aasan nhi hogi, pr mujhe yakeen hai tu sb kch smbhl legi...tere college, tution ka sara kharcha ab Bhanushali ji he sambhalenge.tujhe bs ab unke businesses me unki madad krni hai.( From now on, life will not be easy but I trust that you can conquer the odds.your college, tution is all paid off by Mr. Bhanushali. Now all you have to do is to help him in his business.)"
"There's no way it can be as simple as this"avni thought
Her mom hugged her tightly,"Mujhe teri bohot yadd aayegi, meri pyari gudiya ( I will miss you, my dear doll.)"

Her mom's words resound in her head even as she pack her things that night. She managed to take a cab and ask the driver to take her to the address that her mother gaves her.
The whole trip was a tornado for her. She finally arrives at the enormous mansion of the Bhanushali's.
Everywhere she look screams of wealth.
"Their living room is so much bigger than our whole apartment!"she thought entering the living room
Her eyes move to the grand staircase.
Where she see a middle- aged man walking down.
"He must be mr.bhanushali, the patriarch of this house"avni thought.
Aadinath walked down the stairs and stood in front of her "Welcome, tum avni ho na? Or shyd tumhari maa ne tumhe pehle se he bta diya hoga ki tum yha kis liye aayi ho?( Welcome, you must be avni.I'm guessing your mother already told you what you came here for?)"
Avni nodded in yes and informed "Me abse aapki assistant bn kr Kam krungi. Me aapki har chiz me madad krungi, personal or business matters me(I'm going to work as your assistant form now on. I'll help you with anything, personal or business matters)."
After listening to her aadinath laughed and assured "Itna formal hone ki zarurat nhi hai.jb tk tum yha reh rhi ho, tum meri dusri beti bn kr reh skti ho jb tk tum mujhe mere accounts manage krne me help krogi.(There's no need to be formal.while you stay here, you can become my second daughter while you help me manage my accounts.)"
Avni took a sigh of relief and passed a pleasant smile "Thank you sir...ye mere liye bohot badi bat hai (thank you sir....that would be my honor.)"
Seeing her smiling like this aadinath complimented "Dekha? Jb tum hasti ho to zyada acchi lgti ho(look? How cute you look when you smile)"
Just then A woman dressed in a sophisticated silk saree emerges from one of the big doors. .
"Tumhari bakwas bnd kro, nath. Hamari pehle se he ek beti hai. Iske jese naukro ko apni jgh pta honi chahiye.(quit your nonsense, nath.we already have a daughter. Servants like her should know their place)."By the look of it, avni has already landed on her bad books
Seeing rama behaving like this aadinath complaint "Tumhe is bachi se itna harsh behave krne ki zarurat nhi hai, Rama.(you don't have to be so harsh on the kid, Rama.)"
"Oh right, that's Rama Bhanushali, the wife."avni realised.
Rama gave a strange look to avni and insulted "Me iske sath vesa he behave kr rhi hu jesa iske sath kiya Jana chaiye.ye is ghr ki maid hai. vese bhi, iske baap ko ise karz me fasane se pehle ye sb kch sochna chaiye tha.(I'm only treating her how she should be treated. She's a maid in this house. After all, her father should have thought things through before caging her into his debt.)"
Aadinath interrupted her and changed the topic"Vese, bohot der ho chuki hai, me kisi ko bula deta ho jo tumhe tumhare kamre tk le jaye (anyways, it's pretty late, let me call someone to take you to your room.)".
Again rama speaks in between "Uski zarurat nhi hai, nath. me ise iske kamre me le jaungi( that's not required, nath. I'll take her to her room.)"
"I have a bad feeling about this"avni thought.

Rama takes her to a dark, old, dusty room.
And started showing her the room "Is room me lights nhi hai pr mujhe lgta hai ki tumhe complain nhi krni chaiye.( It's a dark room but I suppose you shouldn't be complaining.)"
"I can't believe a mansion as big as this can have a room Like this ,old and dusty." Avni thought.
Seeing avni looking at the room shockingly Rama continued further "Ye hamari purani maid Tara ka hai, vo isi room me Mari thi isliye uske bade kisi ne bhi ise use nhi Kiya.mujhe lgta hai tumhe yha bohot accha lagega ( it belonged to our old maid Tara, she died here so no one used it after that. I guess you will quite like it here.)" And scared her but before she can speak anything Rama leaves from there ignoring her.
"This is really bad ,how will I stay here?"avni thought worriedly.
Just then aadinath entered into the room and enquired "Avni?tum yha kya kr rhi ho?( Avni? Why are you here?)".
Avni got confused listening to him and informed"Mr.bhanushali, mujhe ye room allot Kiya gya hai( mr. Bhanushali, this is my assigned room)"
Aadinath got shocked listening to this and ordered "Bilkul nhi! Is ghr me bohot guest rooms hai. Tum yha nhi reh skti...mere sath aao, beta. (No way! We have many guests room in this house. You can't stay here. Come with me, child."
He went to another room and avni followed him,
And showing her the room aadinath informed "Yha, ye room last floor pr hai, tumhe is room me acche se privacy milegi to tum yha apni studies me acche se focus kr paogi. Aakhir mere accounts me meri help krne ke liye tumhe tumahare college pe focus krna pdega na. Or sbse acchi bat ki tum is room ko jese chaho vese decorate kr skti ho. ( Here, this room is on the last floor, you can have plenty of privacy to utilise your time for studying. After all, to help me with my accounts, you need to focus on your college. And the best part is you can decorate it however you want to...)"
"This is amazing! This also means I don't have to stay in that haunted room "avni thought
Avni's face bloomed up and she agreed " me isi room me rahungi (I'll stay in this room)"
Aadinath nodded in yes and ordered "Okay, avni. Me kisi ko bhejta hu vo tumahara luggage is room me shift kr dega.( I will have someone to bring your luggage.)"
He added further, "Abhi aaram kro, kl driver tumhe tumhari University le jayega (Rest well, the driver will take you to your university tommorow.)"
And went from there.
