Chapter 9 of 15

Bess Dances

Dance Poems #GifPorn145 words~1 min read

As Polly and Molly

Dance bare of foot like spirits of dawn

Bess watches in wonderment

Until delight can no longer be pent,

Shoe and sock she casts in mirth

And feels her naked toes curl in earth.

Fresh green joy shoots in

Through young rosy skin,

Bathed in bubbles of glee, Bess

Dances and twirls, innocently, wildly

Up and down and round and round

A daisy dancing in the wind,

Stretching sunward, spellbound

Yet youth never sighed nor sinned,

While elf Molly and fairy Polly

Dance on like lilies in a dell

Harebells in the wind.
