The news of Prince Panosâs visit had barely arrived when Ethan and I were forced into action.
No matter how abrupt his arrival was, it was still an official visit. Completely ignoring protocol would give him an excuse to cause trouble.
Of course, we couldnât let it look too formal either. Throwing a festival to âcelebrateâ his arrival was absolutely out of the question.
âHow should we prepare the guesthouse?â
âThe finest guest room we have for visitors will suffice.â
âWhat about the wine for the meal? Should we serve Blackwoodâs strawberry wine?â
âNo need for anything that extravagant. Just get something decent from the Evergarden Trading Company.â
After two years as the Duchess-to-be, Iâd gained plenty of experience with hosting guestsâeven before Harold officially stepped down.@@novelbin@@
And compared to the visitors we regularly hosted, Panos wasnât all that intimidating.
Seraphine, Antonio, and even Ethanâs terrifying mother-in-lawâthe Blackwood estate had seen its fair share of royals.
