Unspoken (seongjoong)Words: 5026

The sun peeked over the horizon, casting a golden glow over the school grounds as students trickled in, ready to face another day. Seonghwa walked into the bustling hallways, his mind preoccupied with the letter he had written the night before. Each letter he wrote to Hongjoong seemed to give him a bit more courage, a bit more confidence.

He carefully folded the letter, slipped it into an envelope, and tucked it into his pocket, ready to find the perfect moment to deliver it. Today, he was determined to get closer to Hongjoong, even if it meant risking a bit more.

Dear Hongjoong,

I wanted to tell you something important today. I know it might seem strange, but writing these letters has given me a kind of courage I never knew I had. I've started to believe in myself more, and it's all because of you.

You inspire me in ways you can't even imagine. Thank you for being you, Hongjoong. Thank you for being someone worth admiring from afar.

Forever yours,

A Secret Admirer

As Seonghwa navigated through the crowded hallways, he spotted his friends—Wooyoung, Yeosang, and Yunho—gathered near their lockers, engaged in their usual morning banter. Wooyoung was the first to notice him, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

"Hey, Seonghwa! Got any new love letters to deliver today?" Wooyoung teased, winking at him.

Seonghwa rolled his eyes, trying to play it cool. "Very funny, Wooyoung. Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

Yeosang laughed, nudging Yunho. "I bet he's already written one. Right, Seonghwa?"

Before Seonghwa could respond, Wooyoung leaned in closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "So, who is it this time? The mysterious crush we know nothing about? Maybe we should give them a nickname. How about... Mystery Muse?"

Yunho snorted. "Mystery Muse? Seriously, Wooyoung? We can do better than that."

Seonghwa couldn't help but chuckle at his friends' antics. "You guys are impossible," he said, shaking his head. "Let's just get to class before we're late."

As they made their way to their first class, the teasing continued, with Wooyoung coming up with increasingly ridiculous nicknames for Seonghwa's secret crush. "How about Enigmatic Enchanter?" he suggested, causing Yeosang to burst into laughter.

"Or Secret Sweetheart," Yunho added, grinning.

Seonghwa couldn't help but laugh along with his friends, despite their relentless teasing. It was moments like these that made school life bearable and filled his days with joy.

During lunch, Seonghwa saw his chance. Hongjoong was sitting with his friends—San, Mingi, and Jongho—engaged in a lively discussion about their upcoming project. Seonghwa waited for the right moment, watching as Hongjoong's friends got up to get more food.

With his heart pounding, Seonghwa approached Hongjoong's table, pretending to be looking for something in his bag. As Hongjoong turned to talk to San, Seonghwa quickly slipped the letter into Hongjoong's bag and stepped away, his pulse racing.

Just as he was about to leave, Wooyoung appeared out of nowhere, catching him off guard. "Seonghwa! What are you doing over here?"

Seonghwa's face turned red. "Uh, nothing. Just, uh, passing by."

Wooyoung's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Passing by, huh? Sure, sure. Come on, let's grab some food."

As they walked away, Seonghwa glanced back at Hongjoong, who was now rummaging through his bag. He saw the familiar look of curiosity on Hongjoong's face as he discovered the letter.

Later, in the cafeteria, Wooyoung continued to tease Seonghwa. "So, Seonghwa, how's your Mystery Muse today? Did you deliver another letter?"

Seonghwa sighed, knowing he wouldn't hear the end of it. "Maybe I did. What's it to you?"

Yeosang grinned. "We just want to know who it is, that's all. Come on, you can trust us."

Yunho chimed in. "Yeah, we're your friends. We won't tell anyone."

Seonghwa laughed, shaking his head. "Nice try, but my lips are sealed."

As the lunch period ended, the friends headed to their next class, the hallways once again filled with the chaotic energy of students rushing to their destinations. Seonghwa felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, wondering how Hongjoong would react to his latest letter.

---

After school, as Seonghwa walked home with his friends, the conversation turned to more serious topics, like their upcoming exams and project deadlines. But Wooyoung couldn't resist one last jab.

"Hey, Seonghwa, maybe you should write a letter to the teachers, too. Tell them how much you admire their courage in giving us so much homework."

Seonghwa laughed, grateful for his friends' humor. "Yeah, maybe I will. But for now, I've got more important letters to write."

As the sun set and the day drew to a close, Seonghwa couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what tomorrow would bring. The thrill of writing to Hongjoong, the joy of spending time with his friends, and the hope of one day revealing his true feelings kept him going, filling his days with purpose and excitement.
