Mr.Knight

I sigh as Lucca continues to cry, he says he wants to stay with me and meet my husband tomorrow even....I love my little guy so much and I do wish my husband could meet him but I'm not in charge of that. I listen to the sweet boy cry.  "Buddy please!" I say as we're stuck in traffic and he's still sobbing. "I wanna 'tay wif you!" I listen to him try to explain, he's super upset and I don't blame him. I love this sweet little guy but god damn do I wish that my husband was here. My husband is sweet and gentle but he's not afraid to put someone in their place. I eventually pull up to his home and I get him out and take him inside...or try to. "Lucca, let go of that seatbelt right now young man." He shakes his head no. "I not go! Never!" He sobs and doesn't let go. He continues to whine but I manage to pry his hands off and lead him into his home.

Lucca

I cry and fuss loudly as he takes me into my house. By now Riley still isn't here and my phone goes off saying, "Sorry Lucca, be there in an hour, practice ran late". I pout and show Mr.Knight...i guess that means time to go to the store to get food. We go to the store and I run around instantly. "Baby, stay with me." I whine and pout but walk back to him. I just wanna play! "You can play later sweatpea. Right now it's time to get things to eat. Okay?" He tells me but I just wanna play! The store got re-aranged so it's so cool to go on a scavenger hunt! "Stay with me baby boy. You're much too little to go running off without me." He says. I roll my eyes a bit, I'm a big boy! I'm a good boy too! I can do it! I KNOW I can run off and go find everything for him! "You're gonna be the death of me...huh kiddo?" "Nuh uh! I'm good boy!" He just nodded and put me in the cart...how dare he?! "No! I a big boy. I can walk! Walk! I wan out!"

Mr.Knight

I sigh for the millionth time today. "IF you behave like a good boy, I might let you out. Okay?" No matter what I know he's not getting out...I'm pretty sure even he knows he won't get out. "Pleeeeeeaaseeee?" He whines. I shake my head no and push the cart into the store. I pat his head after a few minutes and we go to the fruits, I grab a few apples and more stuff. Eventually I do finish with the shopping and we go to the candy isle. "You were actually really good today sweetie so I'm letting you get a treat. Okay?" He nodded and I pick him up, put him on the ground and gently walk him to the candies until he finds one, a small pack of ring pops. I asked him why aaaannd...."Well if momma and Dada ever find out then what if they throw out my paci?!" Or something like that, I REALLY don't speak little. I love him but understanding him perfectly is hard. I carry him back to the cart and set him in it. But I hear someone say something. I don't know what but I turn around and see two middle aged women pointing at my little guy. They both had actual toddlers with them though. One lady comes up and starts yelling at me about how disrespectful it is for me to have my teenager in the cart like he's a baby. I tell the old dirt bags to screw off but not before telling Lucca to cover his ears... making him sit through the interaction definitely earned my sweet boy an extra treat. I let him go grab another candy and he does, he comes back with a bag of sour candies. "What a good choice little one." I tell him, he did such a good job. I ruffle his hair and set him right back into the cart. I smile and grab a few things on our way to the checkout. It was a quick 10 minutes drive full of giggles and "I love you!"'s from Lucca as he smacked in his first choice of snack, a bag of freeze dried bag of apple chips. A healthy but good choice for him, I didn't even realize it wasn't a candy until after he grabbed it. We get back to his home but...

Lucca

I see Riley and go to run to him but Mr Knight holds me back when he had realized he's just sitting there on the couch. He looks distressed. "Bubba?" I ask, hoping to get an answer. I then see someone walk out of the kitchen. My old social worker, it's not unusual for her to come check on me, it's part of her job. I wave at her but then I hear something I wish could end me on the spot.

"Lucca, you need to take a seat, I have something serious to talk about with you."
