Chapter 7: Birthday Dinner

Delia walked to where the small warrior cabins were, getting ready to talk to her best friend Keila. After her encounter with JoLynn this afternoon, she realized she may need a little more help with getting JoLynn out of the way. Lane was by far the sexiest wolf in their pack and, since she couldn't marry the Alpha, the Beta was the next best thing. Delia demanded a specific lifestyle and she would get it by mating with Lane.

"Delia, what's going on?" Keila called out. She was not the smartest shewolf, but she did have an evil enough side to help Delia with her plan. Delia was lucky Keila was built tough like her dad, the top warrior in their pack, so she could do most of the hard work while Delia plotted.

"I had a run in with our favorite person to hate, so now I feel we need to come up with a plan on getting her out of here."

"Oh, I really hope you hurt her this time...she is such a lame ass excuse for a wolf," Keila replied.

"She talked back so I threw her into a tree...Whoops," Delia giggled while shrugging her shoulders. "Now you know why I need to step things up a bit, before she complains to Lane and ruins everything."

Keila started laughing out loud, drawing a bit too much attention to them, "I love that you stood up for yourself." She thought to herself for a second, trying to think of some evil plot. "I do have a cousin who is a warrior at the Glacier Lake Pack, maybe I can see if he has any info that may help us. Maybe something happened to her when she was there."

"I like that idea. Maybe she had issues with others in that pack. Let me know when you talk to your cousin." Delia started walking back to the packhouse. She needed to start working on Lane, make him realize she was the perfect mate before JoLynn interfered and turned Lane against her.

***************************************

After running on the trails for almost 2 hours, Lane made his way back to the packhouse for a shower. He had a little over an hour before Jojo's dinner, so it would be a nice long shower for Lane to enjoy. He couldn't wait to get into his large glass shower, with the waterfall head and side sprayers. His parents surprised Lane with a new shower when he got home, something to match a Beta standing they said. Lane refused to have his family move out of the Beta floor yet, so his parents still had the Beta suite while he stayed in his childhood room. His mother has been pushing his father to get their new cottage done so they can move. She is anxious to get Lane mated and grandbabies to fill the 4th floor.

Opening his door, Lane was greeted by a lingerie covered Delia lying on his bed. Why the hell was she here? He certainly did not want to see Gray's little sister half-naked, it was against bro code. Plus, Lane was not attracted to her over-done makeup and lack of curves. He had always wanted a natural beauty that didn't feel like she needed to paint her face like a clown or be so thin he could snap her in half. He always had respect for his mother and sisters, that they embraced their natural beauty, only wore light makeup at formal functions.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Delia? Cover up and get the hell out of my room," Lane yelled at her. He probably should have been nicer but she needed to realize this was not ok.

"Come on Lane...you know you want me, let's stop playing and just make me yours," purred Delia. She got up on her knees in the middle of his bed and slid her hands up her sides before grabbing her non-existent breasts. "You can have all of me right now, rough and dirty," she slowly got off the bed and made her way towards Lane, "the dirtier the better." Delia grabbed his shirt and pulled his lips to her; it took Lane a second to realize what happened before he pulled her off of himself.

"What the fuck Delia! You need to stop and get the hell out of here. I DO NOT WANT YOU!" Lane quickly threw a blanket over her and pushed her towards the door. "I do not ever want to see you in my room again. You are not my mate, nor my chosen mate, so this needs to stop."

"Come on Lane...don't be like this! We can be amazing together and you know it."

"No Delia, you are not my mate. On top of that, you are Gray's little sister and I cannot do that to my best friend." Lane gave one last small push to get her out the door; he quickly shut and locked the door to keep her from coming back. Lane hated being harsh to her, but it was not going to happen. Grayson and him had talked when they were teenagers about being with their one true mate and not taking a chosen mate. Some wolves thought it made them weak and vulnerable, but they knew it would only make them stronger. Lane may have messed around some on his travels, but now that he was back, his mate is the next one he will be with.

Grayson left JoLynn to get ready for her dinner, while he went to shower and dress himself. The hot water was cascading down his body from above and all he could think about was his love being with him here. Gray couldn't wait to have his way with JoLynn in the shower, her back against the wall and her legs around Gray's shoulders, while he tasted her sweet core. Making her scream his name over and over again, before he would slam her with his hard member and let her ride until they died.

Suddenly Grayson realized he was stroking himself and wanting to have his way with his mate. Jojo down on her knees, taking every single inch of him into her warm and welcoming mouth, before swallowing down all of his seed. Before he knew it, Gray could feel his cum spurting into his hand and all over the walls of the shower. Wow, he knew it had been a little bit since he masturbated, but that was more projectile than he expected.

Gray quickly finished washing and headed to get ready, wanting to be a little early instead of late. After dressing in some looser fitting jeans and a V-neck, tight black shirt, he headed out into the hall, running right into his parents.

"Oh Gray, are you heading downstairs too? Aspen said she was going to invite you to dinner as well but wasn't sure if you accepted," his mother said to him.

"Yes, I will be there for dinner. I could never miss sweet little Jojo turning 18." Mentally Gray was grumbling to himself; there was no way he could sneak glances at Jojo tonight, let alone try and steal her away for a kiss. Everly, his mother, was hypersensitive when it came to him and keeping secrets. She would be able to tell in a heartbeat that there was something going on between Gray and JoLynn. Time to do his best at acting normally around his mate, when all Gray wanted to do was take her to his bed and make her all his.

****************************

Dinner was in full swing and JoLynn was excited to be back home with her family and friends. Jo's Aunt Everly and Uncle Alex came up along with her handsome mate and their youngest child, Lilly. Delia obviously did not decide to join them, especially after everything that happened between JoLynn and her earlier in the woods. All 4 of JoLynn's siblings were there and her parents, both a little teary eyed at the fact that their baby girl was 18 now.

"JoLynn, have you met your wolf yet?" asked her Aunt Everly.

"I have met her but not shifted quite yet. Her name is Lyra and seems to be quite quick-witted. She suggested I wait until I was fully ready and relaxed to shift, which helps lower the pains you get the first few times."

"Oh, I wouldn't have thought of that, quite smart actually. I am sure you will have a beautiful and powerful wolf like your parents." She looked at JoLynn intrigued, noticing the necklace sparkling around her neck. "Oh my Jojo, that is a beautiful necklace. Where did you get it?"

Before Jo could stop herself, she looked at Grayson in a panic before replying, "I got it from a friend for my birthday, I just hadn't put it on until today." JoLynn went to make eye contact with Gray, in hopes she had covered enough for them, but he was studying his mother's face.

"Well, you must be very special to that person, it is such a pretty piece."

"Thank you. I love how its elegant but understated," responded JoLynn.

Crap Gray, I tried so hard not to look at you but I panicked. Do you think your mom knows?

I have a feeling she may suspect something, but I'm not sure. If she barricades me in my room later demanding answers, we will know she knows something. Don't worry though my love, I'm sure I can convince her otherwise.

They quickly break the link before the others realize they are communicating with each other over link. This was starting to get complicated to hide, and it had not even been 24 hours since they found out they were mates. JoLynn was going to have to reach out to her best friend at Glacier Lake Pack, Layla, and hope she had some advice for her. Jo knew she could trust her not to say anything and she needed to talk to someone before she burst. Her Alpha mate was a gorgeous man, and this mate bond was making it more complicated not to run into his arms and throw caution to the wind. Layla would help her work through some things, get her head back straight before she went too far with Grayson.
