Grayson looked down lovingly at his mate, curled up naked next to him, letting out soft moans in her sleep. He would never get tired of looking at her, kissing her, holding her, loving her. He loved running his fingertips along her smooth skin, ending with his hand resting on the curve of her hip. Her body had filled out in all the right places, not that he would have loved and adored her any less if she was still that skinny, lanky girl from before. He would love her until his dying breath and every second of his after life with the Moon Goddess.
The curve of her bottom fit snuggly against him, making his cock twitch any time she wiggled in her sleep. Gray wanted to wake her up and have his way with her, but she definitely needed rest after their first round. She had snuck up to his room after dinner, with the help of both their moms, to finish what they had started the night before. He knew he was fully forgiven now, after his idiotic words earlier but he would still have to make it up to her. Tomorrow Gray would be talking to his mom and Aunt Aspen about what he could do to make it up to her. A weekend away at his family's cabin would be nice, but no way could they get that past Lane.
JoLynn started to whimper lightly in her sleep, twitching randomly as if she was having a nightmare. Gray pulled her even tighter against his body, kissed her head and tried to sooth her into a peaceful sleep. She started to shake her head back and forth, as if she was looking for someone in her nightmare. He could see she was breaking out in a sweat along hairline, something was definitely wrong.
"No...no please..." JoLynn whispered.
"Jojo my love, wake up," Gray called to her while lightly shaking her shoulder. She continued to twitch and fight in her sleep, not coming out of whatever scene was playing out in her head.
Max, can you reach out to Lyra? Something isn't right and she won't wake up.
I already tried once, but I will keep trying. It's like Lyra may be stuck with her, wherever they are.
Keep trying.
Gray was beginning to worry, what could be so horrifying that she can't come out of it. She continued to say 'no' and beg in her whispered voice. Everything he was trying wasn't working and he didn't know how long she could keep doing this. He had never heard of someone being stuck in a nightmare long term, but the fact that neither him nor Max could wake her wasn't good.
"JOJO! You need to wake up, come back to me my love." He brushed the hair back from her face and wiped the sweat from her forehead. Grayson was trying to figure out what to do next when JoLynn launched up off the bed.
"No, please don't kill me!" JoLynn screamed from the top of her lungs. It was a good thing that the Alpha suite was soundproof or he would have had a pissed off Lane kicking his door in. She was shaking, looking around the room like she had never seen it before. Her eyes were dialating, trying to focus on where she was when the ice blue eyes made contact with his. "Gray," she launched herself in his arms, "that was the worse nightmare. I am really sorry to have woken you up."
Grayson started stroking her back, trying to calm her and reassure her that she was safe. "I was awake admiring my beautiful mate, telling myself I needed to let you get sleep, when it started. What was happening? Everything we tried couldn't wake you up, it was like you were disconnected from your body or something."
JoLynn let go of Gray and sat back on her feet, "I honestly don't know what it was. I was running from something or someone, but I don't know what. I just kept running through a forest, trying to get away and get safe. Then out of nowhere I was pinned down, but still couldn't tell who or what had me on the ground. I started to beg and try to fight it off of me, but then everything went black and I woke up."
"Could you hear me calling out to you? Max even tried calling out to Lyra."
"I couldn't hear anything but my heartbeat in my head. I couldn't even hear anything from whatever it was that attacked me." This was all so confusing to JoLynn and it scared her to death, but she wasn't about to tell Gray about it. She was just hopeful that it was just her brain being overactive from the threats she was receiving. It terrified her to think it may be something else.
"Do you think this has anything to do with your white wolf traits? Wasn't one of the traits to sense danger or have premonitions?"
"Maybe, but I don't want to think about it anymore tonight. I will talk to my mom tomorrow and try the pack library to see if there is anything there. Can you just cuddle with and distract me? Talk about random things until we can fall back asleep?"
Grayson shifted back against his pillow and opened his arms wide for her to join. "I would gladly do anything to help you fall back asleep. What shall we talk about first? How much I love you? What you want for your Luna ceremony? How sexy you are and how badly I want to give it to you?"
JoLynn wrapped herself around his side, snuggling in tight against his chest, "Ha, me and sexy do not belong in the same sentence. I will say though, I do love you very much as well." She started to stroke lightly at his chest hair, focusing on calming down and not the horrible nightmare she had. "As for a Luna ceremony, I don't want anything fancy or even a ceremony at all. Just send out a mind-link to the whole pack that I am the Luna now. I highly doubt our mothers will allow that though, we will be lucky if they don't invite every wolf pack in existence."
He rubbed her back soothingly while placing light kisses on her head, "well you do need a ceremony, but I will save that argument for another time. Let me think...random things to talk about to help you fall back asleep? Are you happy to be back in Gray Mountain or do you miss Glacier Lake?"
"I miss Glacier Lake for my family and for Layla, but I am very happy to be home with my parents and siblings. Even before finding out we were mates, I had decided this is where I wanted to be long term. I missed it here and being able to have fun with Lane, Leisha, Cole.....and you. Are you happy I'm back?"
"Of course I'm happy you're back. What kind of mate would I be if I didn't want you here?" He tipped her chin upwards gave her a passionate kiss on the lips.
"You know what I mean...not just the fact that I am your mate. Did you miss your best friend's annoying younger sister?" JoLynn shifted upwards to where she was facing him and no longer laying on his chest. She was going to get an honest answer out of him, see if he really did miss her like he claimed before.
"Honestly, I did miss you, I just didn't want to admit it." Grayson lightly stroked her cheek with his thumb, "when Lane and I were getting ready to fly back he told me you were coming home. I didn't want to admit it, but I had a sense of calm and feeling of home thinking about you being back. It was like my mind knew somehow, especially since I had a very inappropriate dream about us before I knew we were mates."
"Well crap, now I may love you even more," she placed a light kiss on the inside of his hand on her cheek. "Let's see, how about those couplely things we should talk about? Do you want a wedding or just a Luna ceremony?"
"I want to do everything possible for people to know you are mine and mine alone."
"Do you want to have pups?"
Grayson had a grin spread across his face, "I would love to have to see your belly swollen with my pup inside...as many times as you will let me and the goddess will bless us. 1 pup, 4 pups, a litter of 10 pups, but I do have one request though."
"10! You are insane. We will start with one and see where it goes. What would your request be?" JoLynn had a slightly worried look on her face, unsure of what crazy request he could come up with.
"That we do not name our kids anything close to the name of the pack. My parents thought it was so cool to honor our pack by naming me Grayson, but it is just annoying. I got more weird looks traveling when they would announce Alpha Grayson from the Gray Mountain Pack. I even had a few of the older Alpha's ask if it was really my name or if I changed it to match my pack."
Jo burst out laughing so hard tears started to form in the corners of her eyes, "so we will not be having a Alpha Grayson the Second or anything? What if I always had my heart set on naming my son Gray? Do you want to do the tradition of my family? Father's first name and the son's middle name?"
"No, Gray, Grayson, Grady or Graylyn are dead with me. Even Grace if its a girl, just to close. Not even as a middle name. We can use my family middle name, Lee. If we give it to our first born that will be the sixth generation with it, and would make my dad very happy."
"I love Lee as a middle name, even works for a girl. Ok, I can agree with your request."
He pulled her into his arms, kissing her lightly on her forehead while she yawned. "Looks like you are finally tired again. Let's try and get a bit more sleep." He kissed her lips, "I love you more than anything my Luna."
