JoLynn had decided to call it an early night, choosing to go back to her room and read before bed. She was still so tired from her earlier fun time by the creek with Grayson, her nap hadn't helped much. JoLynn didn't mind being tired though, her time with Gray was worth every yawn. Right as she was getting comfortable on her bed, her phone pinged with a message. Her body immediately froze up while reading the message.

JoLynn looked at her phone with concern and began panicking. Who was messaging her that they knew where to find her and they would see her soon? She knew it wasn't Gray or anyone she knew, they liked to joke but not even Delia would go this far. Plus, she was really good with phone numbers and this was not one she had seen before. She knew she shouldn't tell Grayson or Lane about this, they would likely lock her in her room with every warrior on guard until they found this person. JoLynn would figure out how to handle this on her own and ask for forgiveness later.
Jojo, my love, what is wrong? Max is freaking out, he senses that Lyra is panicking. Grayson linked JoLynn.
Everything is fine, no panicking. I'm sorry if we worried you both.
JoLynn sat on her bed, waiting to see if Grayson bought what she said before she went to sleep. A few minutes later, when Jo was going to link him goodnight, her door burst open with Gray hurrying inside and locking the door.
"What the hell Grayson!"
"JoLynn Aspen Masters soon-to-be Rainwater, I have literally known you all of your life and I am your fated mate. Do you really think I don't know when you are lying? So let's try the truth now my sweet."
"Really Gray, was my full name necessary? I really am fine, just a weird anxiety thing. I think my body is still on edge with being back, so sometimes I feel a little anxious. Nothing happened, just me adjusting to being back here." JoLynn was hoping that would be enough for him to believe her and drop the situation.
Grayson sat down on her bed and pulled her into his arms before kissing the top of her head. "I still wish you would let me handle that situation but I will respect your request to handle it on your own. Something still seems like it isn't right, but I trust you my little Luna, so I will drop it for now." He shifted them back to where they were cuddle against the headboard.
"Thank you my big bad Alpha. Everything really is fine." Jojo pulled his lips towards hers for a chaste kiss, "I think having you here has really calmed all the anxiety out of me."
"I am always here for you my love, for anything you need from me."
JoLynn shifted to where she could look into Grayson's eyes. "Do you mind if I ask you some things? Please promise not to get upset or annoyed with me though. There are some things I have been trying to get past about us being together so I figure its just best to ask you."
Grayson kissed her lips, "Jojo you know you can always ask me anything and I would never be mad at you. I don't honestly know if Max and I could ever be mad at Lyra and you."
"First thing, does it bother you that I don't say I love you back yet?" She looked at him worried he would be hurt or start yelling at her.
"No love, not at all. I know that you care very much for me, definitely more than you ever did before we were mated. And I know this is your first romantic anything, so it will take some time for you to get used to the idea of love." Grayson kissed her deeply and lovingly. "I am willing to wait as long as you need, as long as you know I will always love you."
"Thank you, Gray. I do care about you very much, so much it is getting hard to be away from you." She looked away because the next thing she wanted to ask wasa going to be awkward for her. JoLynn just hoped what she feared about their situation was wrong. "The other thing I want to talk about is kind of a hard one."
"Don't worry babe, there is nothing you can say or ask to change how I feel about you."
"So I ask this because I am so naive when it comes to this stuff." She took a deep breath, "will you get bored with me because it is so easy to make me orgasm? The fact that I'm not a challenge and don't last very long for you." Grayson looked at JoLynn as if he wasn't sure how to answer, which just sent Jo into a panic of rambling. He shifted them to where they were laying down on her bed and he was hovering over her slightly. Grayson looked her in the eye to make sure she was listening. "Jojo, I need you to listen to me and believe the words I tell you." JoLynn nodded her head in agreement. "First, I am so in love with you the thought of even looking at another shewolf makes me want to vomit. I love you and want only you. Second, I could never get bored with making you orgasm. The faster I make it happen, the sooner I can get you to cum again and again, until you can't stand up. I am more sexually satisfied with you than with anyone I've been with." "Are you feeling better, my love? I will gladly stay here with you tonight to make sure you stay calm and get some sleep."
JoLynn cuddled up against Gray again, placing her head in the crook of his neck to breath in his scent. "I am feeling better, but I wouldn't mind you staying with me tonight." She kissed his marking spot, "I want to be greedy and get all the time with you."
"That is not greedy at all because that is what I want as well. I would love to sleep with you in my arms every night now." Grayson tilted her head upwards and kissed her lips before cuddling up to sleep. "Good night my love, my sweet Luna."
"Good night, Gray," JoLynn replied sleepily.

JoLynn was running through the woods but she didn't know why. All she could feel was terror and that she needed to get away and back to Grayson. She could hear her name being yelled from behind her, but she didn't know who was there.
"JoLynn! Come out come out..."
She kept running, weaving through the trees, hoping to see the pack house soon.
"You won't get away from me! YOU BELONG TO ME!"
JoLynn had no idea what to do, she should have reached the packhouse by now, or Grayson should have sensed her panic by now. Where was he? Why wasn't he out here saving her? Grayson said he loved her and would do anything for her but he lied, he wasn't here to save her.
Suddenly JoLynn was tackled from behind and pinned down to the ground. She still couldn't see the face of who caught her. Jo hit, scratched, and kicked with everything she had to get away but he still had her pinned down to the ground.
"Help me! Gray where are you? HELP!"
"No one can hear you JoLynn, you are all mine now. I suggest you start getting used to the idea that you are mine and forget about your pathetic excuse for an Alpha."
JoLynn launched out of her bed swinging her arms around, she was sweating perfusely and looking around in a panic. Where was Grayson? What had happened? Was it all a dream or a glimpse into her future?
Jojo turned on her bedside lamp and noticed she had a message on her phone.
~~Hey my love, it about killed me to leave you but patrol had an issue they needed me to help figure out. The life of an Alpha. I'm not sure how long it will take me so I will see you later today. I love you Jojo.
Well that explained where Grayson had gone, and why she most likely had the nightmare. She slept so comfortably in his arms, as if there wasn't a care in the world, but as soon as he leaves her brain reminds her about the message she got from the mystery person. JoLynn needed to try and calm herself down before Gray figured out something was going on. She was hoping this was all some sick, cruel joke that would be over soon.

Grayson thought about murdering his guards when they woke him, at least they linked him and did not wake JoLynn. When they stated they found some sort of dead animal near the border, he was really getting annoyed for the interruption.
Please do not tell me that you woke me for a damn dead animal.
We are sorry Alpha, but we felt this was something that could not wait until morning. The animal was mutilated and hanging from a tree with a note for you. We haven't read the note or removed the animal yet, we figured you would want to see it first.

Grayson was not a fan of harming animals, whoever did this wanted to get his attention. He arrived at the scene and took the note that was attached to the dead animal. It looked like it was most likely some sort of mountain goat, but it was so butchered it was hard to tell.
"Did you find anything else other than this? Smell anything that didn't seem right?" Grayson asked the guards.
"No Alpha, there was no other scents in the area. There are some track marks but they are only partial marks, the person was definitely trying to cover their tracks."
Grayson was frustrated that there wasn't much to work with, he was going to have the guards search again to make sure. "I want you to search everywhere again, do not leave anything overlooked. Make sure to bury the animal as well, we don't need anyone else seeing this." As much as Gray wanted to go back to the warm bed of his mate, he had to figure out what the note to him was about. He didn't like the feeling he had right now, it was putting Max and him on edge.
