Merry Christmas.@@novelbin@@
The last holiday of the year.
A day for extroverts to revel in being extroverts.
You might think, âWhatâs Christmas doing in a world that isnât Earth?â But thatâs how most games are.
Pepero Day, Halloween, Christmasâthey celebrate it all. Complete with themed costumes and in-game currencies. For gamers, itâs just another day to collect goodies.
Of course, TaoSoul, the otaku-targeted bishoujo game, has Christmas too.
And since Iâve been isekaiâd into TaoSoul for almost three years now, Iâve confirmed it hosts a Christmas festival every year.
No Jesus here, though, so Iâm not sure who itâs for.
The important part is that Christmas comes with an event storyline, and one of them is specifically Ashiesâ Christmas episode.
Itâs not mandatory, but Christmasâbeing far more sentimental than other holidaysâis the perfect trigger for Ashiesâ emotions.
I canât afford to miss it.
âYou have no idea how hard I worked to make it in time.â
If freeing the other slaves had been delayed, Christmas wouldâve slipped past like it never happened.
But now itâs time to reap the rewards of my efforts. Iâm taking Ashies to the starting point of the Christmas event.
Itâs been a few days since Ashies heard the music box and cried. Thereâs been no dramatic lifting of the curse since then.
But sheâs been lost in thought more often. Sitting curled up on her bed, replaying the music box endlesslyâit looked like someone trying to reclaim their memories.
A good sign. No matter how much I tried to push her, it wouldnât mean a thing unless she figured it out herself.
âWeâre here.â
We had arrived at the office of Urgudar, the Iron Law, near the Heart of Magmar.
âOh, itâs been a while! I heard you two had gone up north.â
âYes, just took care of some business.â
