UPDATE: *Jordan Dixon was kicked out*
As the year came closer to a conclusion, so did my time with my friends and Devon. When Devon finally came back after his winter break, he wasn't fuckin wit me. Kaylan came to his house in Harrington quite often and satisfied his needs.
It's okay though cuz that's something I wasn't wiling to do.
One day, I was walking through the hall not in class as usual. I saw Devon and I ignored him. He had Kaylan, I know when I'm not wanted.
He grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me to the side . he grabbed my wrist bc everyone know I do not touch hands.
When I was living with Lynora she had men coming through all the time. When they saw each other they did shook hands in this urban fashion called "dap" (dignity and pride) . when they did transactions they shook hands. When Lynora's friend whom I trusted wanted to spend alone time with me, he shook my hand. that's why I don't touch hands
Anyway, he pulled me by wrist and led me to the staircase. He told me he loved me
He confessed a lot to me about his feelings for me. He told me that we couldn't be together yet. He told me he thought of me as a wife. He told me to stay pure. I wasn't like his other plethora of girls he had. It all meant a lot to me. My eyes got watery and I said, "if i mean so much to you, why don't you treat me right"
he couldn't answer my question. He just shook his head and said, "when you go away, don't forget about me. I know I'm gonna be yours in the end. Right now I need to have fun, I'm not ready to settle down yet." I knew that because I didn't satisfy him sexually, he didn't want me. He still had some maturing to do.
He tried to give me a hug, but i wasn't feeling it. He said, "don't act like this"
I started to walk away when he pulled me by wrist and took my hand and kissed it. Yes, he touched my hand, but it was okay this time. This changed everything. The touch of our hands instilled a feeling of trust and more importantly, love.
I don't really know much about love, but I know I felt something.

The end of the year came and i knew I wouldn't see any of my old friends anymore, but that was okay. I had a lot to look forward to because it was decided. I was going to the Early College High School at Delaware State University. Time to make new friends, relationships, memories, and most importantly, getting that diploma!!! But before we get to all that, I had to get through the summer before high school. Summer 2014...
