Chapter 102 GetS Menu As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I hadnât paid any attention to it for hours.
A quick glance around the lobby revealed Beta Axel engaged in conversation with one of the hotel managers. He didnât even notice me. Without hesitation, I headed straight to the elevator and made my way to my room.
I was staying at the same hotel as the members of the Iron Crown Packâthough they had no idea.
When I entered my room, my gaze landed on a man sitting on the couch, speaking on the phone.
He stood up as soon as he noticed me.
âKane, where the hell have you been?â
I let out a sigh. âWhy are you in my room, Finn?â I asked while walking toward the closet.
âAre you serious, man? This isnât our packâs territory. Youâre an Alpha. What if someone ambushed you? I was losing my damn mind over you.â
I turned to face him. âYour Alpha can handle any attack that comes his way. Stop freaking out.â
Pulling out a suit from the closet, I headed toward the bathroom.
âHow can I not be worried? My Alpha is out of his damn mind. Heâs in love-
I shot him a sharp glare, effectively shutting him up. He raised his hands in surrender.
Ignoring him, I stepped into the bathroom. His voice followed me through the door.
âYou regret your divorce.â
âFuck off, Finn.â
Not long after, I heard the sound of the door closing. Standing under the shower, I released a deep sigh, shutting my eyes.
Right now, I was battling both myself and my wolf. I refused to entertain the thoughts Finn had planted in my mind. It wasnât possible. I couldnât be thinking this way.
Yet, as soon as Seleneâs face surfaced in my mind, my eyes snapped open. Tilting my head back, I let the cold water cascade over my face, running my fingers through my hair.
After getting dressed and putting on my shoes, I left my room. As I passed by Finnâs door, my thoughts were a mess.
I Exiting the hotel, I got into my car. Since I had signed a deal with this pack, I had to visit frequently. That was why I decided to get a car here.
Giving my driver the address, I instructed him to take me to the party venue.
It was a halfâhour drive. When I stepped out of the car, I noticed people stealing curious glances at me. Ignoring them, I walked inside.
The hall was elegantly decorated with orchids, and a chandelier hung low, casting warm light throughout the space.

© Get 5+ Menu I spotted the CEOs of various packâowned companies, accompanied by their entourages. There were several women here who hadnât attended the conference yesterday.
It was obvious that many Alphas had brought their wives or girlfriends along.
Alpha Danus approached me, trying to apologize, as if he feared I was upset with him.
I didnât argue. Why would I? I didnât care what anyone thought about that woman.
But my conviction shattered the moment my eyes landed on her.
Selene had just entered the hall.
Her maroon gown hugged her curves perfectly. It was sleeveless and backless, exposing flawless skin with no scars or imperfections.
âMiss Selene has arrived! She truly is an extraordinary woman,â whispers and murmurs filled the room. âMine.â my wolf growled within n me.
I forced my gaze away from her, though every fiber of my being wanted to keep looking.
Turning my attention back to Alpha Darius, I noticed he, too, was staring at her.
I raised an eyebrow at him. He noticed my gaze and slowly turned back to me.
âI was just looking. Donât take it the wrong way,â he said quickly.
I let it go. He was one of my alliesâI had no interest in creating unnecessary tension.
Making my way to the bar, I ordered a drink, my eyes unconsciously tracking Seleneâs every move.
A voice beside me pulled me from my thoughts.
âStop chasing something that isnât yours anymore, Alpha Kane.â
1 turned my head and met the gaze of Beta Axel.
âBeta Axel,â I muttered, lifting my glass. âEnjoy your drink.â
I didnât pay him much attention. He was just a beta from another pack. I could bet he wasnât even as strong as Finn. What was the point? If he hadnât been my exâwifeâs ally, he and his Alpha would have. approached me politely, seeking an alliance.
âCheers,â he said, but his eyes were locked onto Seleneâa sight I didnât appreciate.
âYou all lied to me about her children. Theyâre not yours,â I said, taking a sip of my drink.
âTheyâre not yours either,â he countered mockingly.
My grip on the glass tightened, but I restrained myself from crushing it.
I had no responseâbecause he was right. They werenât my children.
âAlpha Kane, this isnât a warningâitâs a message. Stay away from Selene. She has nothing to do with you anymore. Sheâs with me now. I love her, and she loves me. Magnus has already approved it.â
I frowned. âYouâre lying He chuckled, shaking his head. âIâm not. Ask her yourself.â
I scoffed. âOf course, you want to be with her. Sheâs your Alphaâs sisterâthatâ

âI love her. I donât care about the childrenâs biological father. I was there when they were born. I raised them. I will be their father and give them my name.â
A sharp pang hit my chest. I didnât like his wordsâor more accurately, I didnât like the fact that he wanted to claim Selene as his.
âIf thatâs true, why hasnât Alpha Magnus announced anything?â I challenged, hoping he was bluffing.
Axel simply shrugged. âShe told her brother she wants to focus on her career for now. But in the future, Iâll be the one by her side. The entire pack knows weâre together.â
