Chapter 71| Trying to move on

It has been 2 days. 2 days since Ahana had gotten discharge from the hospital. 2 days or I guess 3 days since the horrific truths came in front of Ahana and Neil. These 2 days have been nothing but trying to get back to a normal life. It's been about trying to Move forwards. Trying to Move on.

The family members have been really supportive of Ahana and Neil. Prabha and Sanjeev had stayed at Malhotra Mansion for these 2 days, As Rahul stated that this will be good for Ahana's state as well as help their relation after such revelation. Prabha and Sanjeev had onces Again apologized to Ahana and Neil.

Neil tried to convince them that it's not their fault, And they did their best they could. Even Ahana thought the same. Was she upset knowing that the truth was Hidden for years from her. Yes. Was she upset knowing the fact that the person she cared for and Cried for all this years was the biggest lie of her whole 5 to 7 years of her life. Yes. But with all this she knew that what Prabha and Sanjeev did was what they thought  was right in that situation.

Even she knew that those days, she wasn't strong enough to handle this truth. Heck if not for Neil and his support, She would have been broken to a point that she would never be able to recover from it.

Though Ahana and Neil were trying to move on, Both saw that the impact of this truth which was still having a slight impact on The other. Neil had Seens Ahana look at Aarti's photo and cry or even talk to the photo apologizing. While Ahana had seen Neil lost looking At Aarti's picture and sometimes even while looking at the whole family's pictures. But they stood by each other, Supporting each other through such emotional time.

Today was Saturday, Prabha and Sanjeev were heading back home today as they had already stayed for 2 days in Malhotra house.  Ahana and Neil had taken 1 week leave for school for the kids and Neil himself had started working from home for few days.

Ahana personally didn't feel save sending Ansh, Naira, or Even Aryan outside by themselves. And to some point Neil agreed to her.

As if Now, Ahana was seated on the swing in the balcony, looking out in the garden area, as she was lost in her thoughts. Just then she felt 2 arms wrapped around her causing her to jump. She turned back to see Neil sitting next to her as he took her in his arms, So that her back was attached to his chest.

Neil:"What is my love thinking"

Ahana:"Nothing "( She said shaking her head as she tried to calm herself in the safest place she could ever find. Neil's embrace)

Neil:"Shona you know you can share it with me. Common, What is it"

Ahana:"I don't Neil. I am just scared I guess. It been 2 days but the things won't leave my mind. As if now we have gotten leave for the kids. Prabha Maa and Sanjeev Papa were living with us. Everyone was home and Safe due to the high security. But it's won't always be like this. Maa and papa are going home today. You have to go to office, The kids have to go to school eventually. It's just after knowing what extinct Rajeev can go to get what he wants is scarring me. I don't want something to happen to you or kids or our family members "

Neil:"Nothing will happen shona trust me. I won't let him do anything. As if now he has only Seen Neil. Ahana's Neil. But now Rajeev has to Face The Neil Malhotra. Who won't let any harm come on his family. And I...i wanted to discuss this with you before but Sanjeev Papa and Maa were in a hurry to return home of I didn't get time to discuss it."

Ahana:( Turning in Neil arms to face him)" What happened?"

Neil:"I have added security for Maa and Papa At their home. I know Rajeev won't sit still. We also don't know why he is back. Safety of Maa and Papa is important. I know I should have talked to you before hiring bodyguards for them. I haven't even told them yet but I.  just..."

Ahana:(Cutting Neil off as she cupped his face)" Thank you... Thank you so much Neil. Thank you for treating them As your parents too. I sometimes find it hard to believe that their are men like you in this world. When most of the world can't even love and care for their own parents, You treat my parents as you own. Thank you for it"

Neil:"Now I am gonna get angry"(He pouted making Ahana laugh)

Ahana:"I know  I know you don't like me thanking you  but I know there is one thing Mr. Neil Malhotra can't say no to"

Neil:( smirked)" Oh really and what is that may I know "

Ahana:"oh ofcourse Mr. Malhotra "( She said as she leaned in and took Neil into a kiss. Neil passionately reciprocated the kiss as he dug his hands in her hair tilting her head to get a good access to her lips while Ahana's hands gripped Neil's shirt on his shoulder.)

After few mins of them having a passionate kiss, Neil pulled back and rested his head on Ahana's  forehead, as they both tried to catch their breaths.

Neil:"Oh I would never mind a thank you like that"

Ahana:(Giggles)"Oh I know"

Ahana sighs as she lays back on Neil's chest and snuggles into him again thinking of something. A thought was roaming her mind since morning and she just couldn't shake it of.

Neil:"Now where are u lost sweetheart?"

Ahana:"Rajeev"( Neil frowned as Ahana spoke up further)" Neil we know that Rajeev left never to be found that day. We can assume he went to his girlfriend or maybe someone else. But Neil he knew the deeds he had done though I don't think he realizes it yet I know he atleast knows that Mom and Dad or even Me won't just accept him in our lives again. Than what could be the reason he is back? There has to be motive which we aren't seeing. He ...he never loved me then why all of a sudden come back and act like nothing happened. Things don't make sense Neil"

Neil:"Your right. He has a motive for sure and it is something related to you and Ansh. The way he got angry when you declared our marriage. It can't be due to the fact that he loves or ever loved you. Either his ego was hurt or this truth came in between his plan."

Ahana:"What if it's both the options combined."

Neil:"I don't know shona but I don't want to think of it as well for now. I just want to enjoy you safe and sound in my arms"( He said tightening his arms around Ahana)

Ahana:"Mee too"( He held onto his arms as they sat on the swing which swayed a little due to Neil's push.)

That evening Ahana and Neil told Prabha and Sanjeev about the bodyguards. Though they disagreed to the thought at first, By the end they agreed to Allow it as Ahana requested that it would help her sleep better knowing her parents are safe. She couldn't afford to lose more people she loved to that Man.

By 7 Prabha and Sanjeev had gone home. Ahana was with the kids playing with them when Neil entered the room with his laptop.

Neil:"kids who wants a movie Night"

Kids:"Movieeee Yeahhh"( The kids cheered  causing Ahana to smile as Neil signalled them to head to the movie theater room while He And Ahana followed behind.)

As they entered the room, Ahana saw popcorn and other snacks already set on the table while the kids ran and sat on the their seats. Neil set his laptop on the table connecting it to the projector as he looked for a new movie to watch.  All his while Ahana sat back on her seat scrolling through her phone when she came upon a number. The number that had called her for the past few months from out of country. She opened WhatsApp to see the number was active on it. She pulled up that number to message on it.

Ahana ~ Hello, I have been getting calls for the past few months from this number. May I know who it belongs to.

Ahana sent the message before closing her phone and keeping it near her. By the time Neil came and sat next to her After putting the movie. It was a famous Animated movie Tangled.

Ahana sat back enjoying the movie as throughout the movie she heard the kids singing along to the songs or laughing at funny scenes.

After the movie finished, The kids were getting sleepy. Ahana told Neil to look after the kids and keep them awake while she went to check on dinner.

Neil and Ahana fed the kids before tugging them in their beds. Later they joined The other family members for dinner. The dinner went smoothly before everyone headed back to their respective rooms.

In Ahana and Neil's room....

Ahana Entered the room and headed straight to the washroom to get changed into her nightwear. As she came out she met  Neil, who had already changed in the room, sitting on the bed scrolling through his phone. Seeing Ahana exit the washroom, he kept his phone down and got up from the bed to get few things.

Ahana settled down on her side as she hissed in pain silently as she kept her legs on the bed. It was a little swollen and she knew it was due to pregnancy. Neil came back with a glass of hot milk and medicine in his hands.

Neil:"Now common have your medicine"

Ahana Made a face but nonetheless, Took the medicine from his hands and gulped it down with little bit of milk. She then gave a half finish milk to Neil who gave her a stern glare.

Neil:"Finish it shona"

Ahana:"No no Neil please. It's wack"( She said making a vomit noise)

Neil:(Laughs)"It's not wack baby. It is good for health. Now common be a good girl and finish it."

Ahana:"Neilll no na"

Neil:"Ahana you yourself tell Ansh and Naira that Milk is good what will they think seeing you like this"

Ahana:"It's not me...it...it your daughter or son who won't drink it"( She said pouting)

Neil:( Smiled at her cuteness)" Really well why not I talk to my baby and scolded her a little"( Neil sat next to Ahana and Lowered her hands on her stomach)" Baby I see you are becoming very naughty huh? Always showings tantrums. Maybe you don't want the gift I have gotten you today. "

Ahana:"Gift!"

Neil:"Yeah. But what can be do if the baby throws tantrums then we can't provide them with gift na. It's not good parenting "

Ahana:"No no ...the baby wants to drink "

Neil:"Really? but the baby didn't want to drink na. "

Ahana:"Now it does na. Give me the milk"( Neil handed the milk  to Ahana who drank it while Neil just smiled at her. After finishing the milk)" done"

Neil:"Done? Wow baby. You became a good baby in just few mins. Good girl "( He said rubbing his thumb on Ahana's cheek)

Ahana:"Now gift"

Neil:"Yes yes "( He opened his bed side table drawer and pulled out a diary milk chocolate)

Ahana:( Taking the chocolate from him)"Oh Neil I love you soo much"( She kissed his cheeks before opening the chocolate to eat)

Neil:"Ahana, Shona sit back a little na"

Ahana frowned but sat back and she saw Neil Get a towel and lay it below Ahana's legs before he went  and got coconut oil. Neil settled Down next to  Ahana's legs and started to Massage them.

Ahana:"Neil!"( Ahana gasped at his actions and started to get up but he held onto her legs stopping her)" Neil what are you doing Leave my legs please "

Neil:"Why Shona. Your legs are swollen and I have seen Mom, Shruti bhabhi and even Preeti massage them. It will relieve the pain. I am doing the same so you just relax."

Ahana:"But Neil you shouldn't touch my leg na it's..."

Neil:"Why Ahana. If I want a leg Massage some day will you not touch my leg as well."

Ahana:"No I will."

Neil:"Then why can't i"( Ahana didn't have words to reply back)" We are equal Ahana. please remember that. Now let me give my Wife a massage "

Ahana watched as her husband massaged her feet, helping her get rid of the pain. Ahana felt proud of Neil. She wanted her sons, Aryan and Ansh, to learn from their father. Maybe if everyone taught their sons these manner and belief that Neil held then the world would be such a peaceful and safe place of men and women. She saluted Angali and Rahul for giving such wonderful upbringing to Neil , Rohan and Sid. She just hoped she can make Ansh and Aryan and Naira have great values and Belief like Neil as well.

Her thoughts were disturbed by multiple beeps on her phone. She looked down at her phone and frowned at the screen in front of her.

Neil:"What happened shona?"( Neil asked seeing her frown)
