Chapter 64| Coincidence ?

Neil:"Today is Aarti's death Anniversary "

Ahana:"Today is Rajeev's death Anniversary "( They both said at the same time) " And mom and dad's...also"( She whispered the last part as both Ahana and Neil froze in shock)

Neil:"What...How...I..."

Ahana:( Sat on the bed with a worried expression)" Neil... this.. How is it possible?"

Neil:( Looking at Ahana's face, Neil calmed his emotions down and went towards Ahana, sitting next to her)"Maybe it's... it's a coincidence?"( He said sounding unsure)

Ahana:(Turning toward him)" You don't need to hide your emotions from me Neil. I know you are just as stumped as I am. Just because I am pregnant doesn't mean you have to hide everything from me. Atleast not your emotions"( She said looking into his eyes)

Neil sighed as he cupped her face planting a kiss on her forehead before bring her into a hug as his thoughts wondered over the weird discovery they just made.

Neil:"I don't know what to think shona. On one hand my heart says that it can't be a coincidence that rajeev and Aarti's death Anniversary is on the same day. But my mind says that it could be a coincidence and we shouldn't let our minds wonder on it "

Ahana:"I too don't know what to say or think. But this does scare me a little bit"

Before they could further discuss the topic, Ahana's phone Rang. It was Prabha Maa. Ahana looked at Neil before answering the call.

Ahana:"Hello Maa?"

Prabha:"Hello Ahana. How are you doing beta"

Ahana:"Fine maa"

Prabha:"Though I didn't want to discuss this with you but...Pandit ji called today for..."

Ahana:"the pooja right?"

Prabha:"Haan. But Ahana you... you shouldn't do it. You have moved on Ahana. It would not be right. We have no problem Ahana."

Ahana:( She looked at Neil who gave her a small smile not even knowing what the matter was)" No Maa we can't leave behind our past to move forward. Today I will hold Rajeev's death Anniversary pooja. And though I am no one to say this but I hope Neil does the same for Aarti ji"( She said looking at Neil in the eyes. Neil understood the topic and a smile appeared on his face at her words.)

Neil:( He took the phone from Ahana's hand and turned the speaker on before looking at Ahana)" Maa. I want to invite you and Papa to our house this evening for the pooja. We will hold it together for Aarti and Rajeev Along with Ahana's mom and Dad' s soul to be at peace."( Prabha gasped as she heard Aarti and Rajeev's Name)

Ahana:"Yes maa I know it must be shocking but Aarti's death Anniversary is the same day as Rajeevs. We are also shocked as to this weird discovery "

Prabha:" It's.. it's not weird Ahana. Multiple people die on the same day... It must be a coincidence. Don..Don't think about it much. All this shouldn't effect the babies health"

Ahana:"Don't worry Maa we will take care."

Neil:"Yes Maa. You both just came home by evening. I'll prepare everything "

Neil cut the call before looking at Ahana. He Held Ahana's hands in his as he looked into her eyes with pure love and admiration.

Neil:"Ahana I know our emotions are mixed up and we might not be able to think clearly as if now. But even with this, I fully agree to the decision of yours. But you have to understand Ahana,Our family might not understand our thoughts. We already saw how Prabha maa and Sanjeev Papa reacted on this news. I have a feeling that even mom and Dad might object on this pooja due to our relation now. But no matter what happens, I need you to be strong with your thoughts. Just because we have moved on doesn't mean our past has left us. It is the main reason for us being us today so never forget the past. Instead we have to move forward along with it like we have been doing now."

Ahana:"I know Neil. I am Happy you also understand this. I also know as long as we are together we can achieve anything we want."

Neil:( Kissing her forehead)"Another thing. I ... I don't want to stop you from fulfilling any of your duties or your wishes regarding this Pooja but due to ur pregnancy, I might have to stop you from doing few things. Please don't misunderstand or be upset Shona. It's for your and Babies health"

Ahana:"I know...you wouldn't do anything that would hurt me. I promise to take care of my self and listen to you"( Neil smiled at Ahana)

Neil:"Alright I'll just call for arrangements then we can go down and tell everyone"( Ahana nodded)

Neil called the Pandit and did all the arrangement for evening's Pooja. Later they went downstairs and Shared the news with everyone. As Ahana and Neil, The Malhotra Family also had shocking reactions. They even tried to explain Ahana and Neil if this Pooja was actually a right idea or not. But at the end they gave in to Ahana and Neil's demands.

In evening time Prabha and Sanjeev also joined the Malhotras as they all conducted a pooja for Aarti , Rajeev, and Ahana's Mom and Dad's Death Anniversary.

Most of the rituals were performed Nicely except for Rajeev's Pooja ritual which was done by Sanjeev Rather then Ahana due to her Pregnancy.

After the rituals the family were seated in the hall. Prabha and Sanjeev were busy communicating with Angali and Rahul. The youngster were also busy within themselves. Ahana was talking to Shruti when her Phone rang. Seeing the number a frown came upon her face which Shruti noticed.

Shruti:"What happened Ahana?"

Ahana:"Bhabhi. for the past 2 months I have been getting Calls from this number. It's a foreign number but when ever I pick up no sound comes. First I thought it was a prank call or mistake but this is the 6th time in these months. I am about to block it"

Shruti:"Leave it Ahana don't pick it up and don't stress about it. It's probably just spam"( Ahana nodded as she kept her phone Aside and continued her talk.)

Flashback ends.....

Though the family members had forgot about this incident, somewhere in Ahana and Neil's heart this thought didn't leave. After such a sad event, Some good joyfully days also came. 2 months back was Ahana and Neil's 1st wedding anniversary. Which was celebrated with a blast.

Neil had Taken Ahana out for the day, leaving the kids in care of Angali and Rahul. Ahana and Neil spend the day together doing things they like. Such as they both went bowling, Now Ahana had Became good at it due to Neil being her coach, Then they went to Watch a movie before having lunch as a nice restaurant. Then they had gone to the outskirts of the city, Where they enjoyed the view while also enjoying time in each other's arms. Later around 6 they headed back home for the party kept by their family members for The couple.

Though Neil wanted to plan a trip for himself and Ahana for their anniversary but due to her pregnancy, he didn't take the risk. Later that evening, They celebrated their day together with the family Members.

Like these 4 months had passed with alot of  happiness and some sorrow. Now Ahana's second trimester had started. Yesterday only they went to the doctors for check up and every thing came out as normal. This pregnancy as if now was on a normal and safe route.

Today was Friday and Also a very special day for lovers. You all might have guessed it. Yes it was February 14th. Valentine's days.

Ahana woke up to a cute sight. The bed was surrounded with Pink and red balloons. She giggled as she hit the balloons which bounced back. She looked forward to see Neil standing in front of her with a red rose in his hands.

Neil:"Happy Valentine  sweetheart "( He said with a Cute smile)

Ahana:( Smiled as she got up from the bed and walked towards him. She took the flower from his hand and looked at it before looking at him)" Thank you Neil. Happy Valentine  love "( She stood on her tip toe and kissed his forehead before kissing his cheek and hugging him) " I love you"( She said snuggling into his neck)

Neil:(Wrapping his arms around her waist)" I love you tooo Shona"( He said kissing her shoulder)

Ahana/Neil:(pulling back as they looked at each other before keeping their hand on Ahana's stomach)" And we love you 3..."(They said together before laughing )

The whole day went as normal. Ahana and Neil freshened up before they spend some time alone enjoying Breakfast in their room. Soon after they joined others in the routine. Ahana wasn't surprised to learn that Sid and Preeti would be going out for dinner date today. The shocking yet cute part was that Rahul Had also planned a movie night for himself and his wife. Ahana and Neil also had a plan for the night. Prabha and Sanjeev had agreed to take care of the kids as even Shruti and Rohan were not home as they had gone to visit Shruti's parents house for few days with ryan and Sameer.

At evening time, Ahana and Neil reached Prabha and Sanjeev's house to drop the kids. They stepped in for 10 mins to meet Prabha and Sanjeev. Ahana and Neil were seated in the Hall chatting with Sanjeev and Prabha while drinking tea when the door bell rang.

Prabha:"Who could it be at this moment?"

Neil:"You sit Maa I'll get it"(He went to open the door to see a delivery Man standing at the door)

Delivery Guy:"Hello sir. You package. Please sign here"( Neil took the package in his left hand and signed the paper before closing the door)

Neil came back to hall with the package in his hands. Prabha, Ahana and Sanjeev looked up to see the medium size package in his hands.

Sanjeev:"Package?"

Neil:"I think it's your Maa. It's says to Mrs. Singh"

Prabha:"Who would send a parcel to me"

Prabha took the package from Neil's hands and started to open it. There was another box inside the package which was decorated with Valentine's day decorations. Prabha and Sanjeev opened the package and their eyes widen as they looked up to see Ahana and Neil looking at them curiously.

Prabha:"Ahh this.."( She closed the box and kept it behind her)

Ahana:"What happened Maa what is it? Show me?"

Sanjeev:"No no no...it's.. it's my gift.. for your maa. "( He said quickly looking at Prabha. Who sighed in relief)

Ahana:( Teasingly)" Ohh Papa being romantic haan? That's cute. Show me na maa"

Prabha:( Hiding the box behind her)" Bad manner Ahana... U...you shouldn't be seeing you Dad's gift for your mother"( She said fake scolding)

Ahana:( Laughs)"Maa your saying as if I am a kid"

Sanjeev:"You no less then a kid for us Ahana.  Later in your life you will realize this that for parents their kids never grow up even after becoming parents themselves "

Neil:"I think I can agree to that Papa."( He said with a smile)" Anyways I think we should go now or we will be late."

Ahana:"Yeah"

Neil:"We will pick up the kids around 11 Papa. It's fine right"

Prabha:"Yeah take you time and enjoy. But don't forget to take care"( She said indicating Ahana's pregnancy)

Ahana:"don't worry we will take care of ourselves Maa"( She hugged Prabha and Neil took blessings from them before they both headed out)

Prabha and Sanjeev headed back inside and their eyes landed on the package. Prabha looked at Sanjeev worried while he tried to give her a comforted look but failed.

Prabha:"Who could it be Sanjeev? "

Sanjeev:"I don't know Prabha. But these pictures. How do they have it..."

Prabha:( Sat on the sofa with her head in her plams)" I can't with it... How much will we be able to hide this. First the death Anniversary being the same day now things like this. Sanjeev if Neil or Ahana had seen these pictures, you know how bad it would have been. I don't think we should hide it Any more. It feels like the truth is coming out by itself  slowly slowly. I am afraid it might reach to Ahana and Neil before we tell them"

Sanjeev:"Nothing will happen Prabha. We will sort things out. You know I also want to tell them but Ahana's pregnancy. We can't risk the baby due to this truth. I promise we will tell them when the right time comes. As if now it has not come"

Prabha:" I am scared that before the right time comes something may go wrong"
