SUPER RICH KIDS.
chapter twenty-two.
(third-person pov)
â
"Shut your mouth before a fly goes in there, Lennox," Aria smiles, leaning her shoulder on her mansion's metal door, watching Kade stand in front of the car, gawking at her.
As he walks to his girl, a small smile graces Kade's lips, "Why don't you shut it for me, Arora? Do the honour will you?"
Aria chuckles, tilting her head, throwing him a little smirk, "Beg, you fool," she murmurs, grazing her finger against his jaw.
"Please, Aria," he whispers.
Aria chuckles before moving her hands to his shirt's collar, pulling his face towards her and crashing her lips on his.
Their tongues collide as they explore each other's mouths, their bodies closer than ever.
Kade reaches out his hand, placing it on her waist but before his hand could touch her bare back, Aria pulls away.
She smiles, placing her finger on his lips, "That's it for now, Lennox, before we get too late."
He lowers his gaze down to her lips then moves it up to her eyes and then finally checks her out before smiling in pleasure.
"Mhm, you look beautiful," he murmurs, kissing the side of her head, "But you always do," he smiles, placing another kiss on her forehead.
Aria chuckles, "Never would I have thought that the same guy who told me that I remind him of a horror movie would call me beautiful. I guess there's a first to everything."
"Our first ball together," he glances at her, offering her his hand before they walk down the stairs towards the limousine.
"But not the last," she smiles as he opens the door for her, letting her step into the limousine before he joins her and the drive soon begins.
Within fifteen minutes, they had reached their venue. It was a mansion hidden in an enormous ground, allowing it to block any trespassers and paparazzi.
"It looks better than last time," Aria mutters as they walk into the huge hall, looking at the decorations from the corner of her eyes.
"Mhm, they probably got new sponsors to make it even grander than the last ball."
Aria turns around at the sound of a familiar voice, her eyes landing on Blake who is dressed up in a grey suit, looking smart as ever.
"Looking good, Blakey," Aria smiles at him, watching a smile play on his lips.
Kade glances at her, "You didn't even complimeâ," but he gets silenced with a hard nudge from Aria's elbow on his hip.
"Thank you, Aria," Blake chuckles, smiling at the couple, "You two look quite good too, together."
Kade feigns a smile, throwing a glare at Aria, "Thank you, Blake. You're one nice person unlike someone here."
"Right on time. Looks like a fight is gonna start soon."
Ellis Young was adorned in a red gown, perfectly hugging her body while also displaying her attractive legs to the crowd. She was definitely the one stealing everyone's attention today while the diamonds on her body just add a spotlight to her looks.
"El, you're a bit too obsessed with them fighting."
Isabelle Durand stands next to Ellis, her pastel pink gown making her seem like a princess amongst the crowd. She looked beyond beautiful like she always does.
Aria, Isabelle and Ellis all looked beyond beautiful and they all knew it as it was quite obvious from the looks they were getting.
"I love fights. I love fighting. I love seeing people fight, it soothes me," Ellis smiles, taking a sip from her glass of wine.
"You villainess, look at the good things for once."
"Oh. Hey, Luca," Isabelle smiles, watching Luca step in front of them with a red suit and an unbuttoned shirt.
"Aw, you two match!" Isabelle grins, pointing at Luca and Ellis while they both glare at each other.
"You look disgusting," Ellis scoffs at Luca, "Red is my colour, you copycat. You look like secondhand trash."
"You're just jealous," Luca rolls his eyes at her, "That I look better than you."
"How the tables turned," Blake sighs, "Now she's the one fighting," he murmurs.
"Come outside," Ellis hisses, "I'll beat you up like a bitch," she takes a step closer, poking her finger on his chest until he takes a step back.
Luca takes another step back and crashes his back on someone else's back, someone much taller than him.
"Shit," Luca murmurs, turning around to look at the person, he looks at the guy who had fully turned around and was now glaring at Luca.
Ellis laughs, "Oh my, I think I found the intimidating person I was looking for. Even Luca seems scared."
"He seems terrifying," Isabelle whispers in Aria's ear, "Looks like Ellis won again," she chuckles and Aria nods.
"Luca, apologise," Blake glances at Luca.
"I will!" Luca scoffs, staring at his friends.
"What's your name?" Luca asks, staring at him.
"I don't know. Wait till I find my birth certificate for you," he rolls his eyes.
"The attitude," Luca gasps, widening his eyes at him, "How can I apologise to someone like him?"
"Says the one who bumped into me," he scoffs, "Watch where you're going."
"Oh, fuck off," Luca shoves the guy on his chest but it led to nothing since the boy was too strong and tall as well.
The boy grabs Luca's arm and holds it tightly but before Kade could pull Luca back, someone had managed to pull the boy off Luca, more like some guys.
Three boys stand behind the boy, two of them having their hands on each of his shoulders.
"Elijah, we're gone for two seconds and you already started a fight," the blonde sighs, shaking his head.
"Shut up, Theo," he grumbles, pushing their hands off.
"So sorry," the curly head smiles, "Our friend here loves fighting with anyone."
"Kota, why are you apologising? He was the one who bumped into me," he points at Luca.
"Who the hell are you?" Kade narrows his eyes at the four boys.
"Shame, you don't even know the main sponsor's name," the brunette frowns.
"Oh, this isn't going to go well," Blake murmurs, pulling his lips into a straight line.
"This is Elijah Winchester. The only son of the Winchesters who hosted this party. The same ones who invited you."
"We're dead," Blake murmurs, "How embarrassing for Luca."
"Woah," Isabelle gasps, "He's like twice as rich as me."
"Quadruple, even," Blake murmurs.
"And?" Aria asks, "Aren't you gonna introduce yourselves? You," she points at Elijah, "You are the host of this ball, you should be joining hands with us and welcoming us. You're not quite the host I expected."
Elijah arches his eyebrow, "You're not the guests I expected," he states, "One clearly has no manners," he glances at Luca.
Luca frowns, "Don't look at me like thatâ."
"Right, we need to be welcoming. Let's introduce ourselves then," the curly head smiles, "I'm Dakota Westwood. I prefer to be called Kota," he grins.
The brunette takes a step forward, "Nicholas Harrington," he feigns a smile.
The blonde grins, "Don't mind these two," he laughs, putting his arms around Nicholas and Elijah's shoulders.
"Theodore Ambrose, at your service," he salutes with a wink.
"Top, top socialites," Aria mumbles, "Great to see."
"Aria Arora," she introduces herself with a small smile.
"Heiress to Arora Medicals," Nicholas murmurs, glancing at her.
"Oh, you know?" Aria tilts her head, staring at him.
Theodore laughs, "It's normal. Our Nicholas knows everything," he pats his shoulder with a proud smile.
"Mhm, then you know who this is?" Aria smiles, pointing at Kade.
Nicholas chuckles, "I know all of you, but what's the point of me introducing you? You should introduce yourself."
"Kade Lennox," he moves his hand forward but only Theodore, Nicholas and Kota shake it since Elijah just stood there with his hands in his pockets.
"Blake Hadley," he smiles at them, shaking their hands except for the green-eyed devil.
Luca steps forward to introduce him, "Luâ."
"We know who you are," Elijah chuckles humourlessly, "No need to introduce yourself."
"Oh, he really hates you, Luca," Ellis chuckles, "Anyways, I'm Ellis Young," she smiles at them.
"Isabelle Durand," she waves at them with a smile but only Kota waves back at her with his brightest grin.
"Let's enjoy ourselves tonight," Theodore smiles, raising his glass and so does everyone, clinking their glasses together.
And before they all realised, they had all clicked with each other. Perhaps them meeting wasn't so bad at all.
"Oh, you're British too?" Elijah glances at Kade and it seemed like they had more in common than they could even expect.
Both were heirs to big law firms. Both were born to English parents. Both loved football. They both agreed that people who call football soccer deserve to die.
"Mhm, my mum is from the City of Westminster. I lived there for a few months," Kade replies, "The weather is terrible though. I've grown a liking for the sun here. Where are you from?"
"My father was born in Manchester but later moved to Knightsbridge, where my mum resided," Elijah states, "I was born there too."
"Knightsbridge, you say?" Kade hums, "My aunt owned some mansions here and her daughter, my only cousin, just went back to London."
"For holidays? In that weather there?" Elijah murmurs, looking surprised.
"Holidays?" Kade scoffs, "You think. She got excluded from Knightford in Switzerland so her father sent her to London."
"Excluded? Woah," Elijah smiles for the first time since the ball started, "She's brave for doing whatever she did to get excluded."
"Might I say she had a Guinness record for being excluded. Well, she leaves herself before the formal exclusion," he shakes his head at the thought of his cousin.
Elijah chuckles, "She sounds like she's living the dream."
Kade shivers, "She's a living, walking nightmare."
"Her name?" Elijah arches his eyebrow.
Kade looks at him, "Adrianna Saâ."
"Elijah!" Kota screams, "Theo got drunk and passed out in the bar. You need to help us!"
"Shit," Elijah groans, "I'll be back. Well, I hope. Enjoy your night," he smiles, "It was nice talking to you, Kade," he shakes his hand.
Kade smiles at him, "I could say the same. Go on, now. He seems to be hugging a chair now," he chuckles, watching Theodore hug a chair in the distance.
"Drunk Theo is a nightmare," Elijah mumbles before walking away.
Kade sighs, turning around before a gasp leaves his mouth as Aria stands an inch away from him.
"You scared me there," he mumbles, watching her smile at him and his heart starts to race once again.
"You seemed like you had a nice conversation with our host," Aria muses, "Looks like moody boys get along with other moody boys."
"Aria..." Kade drawls out her name, frowning at her.
Aria smiles at him, holding his cheek, "Yes, my love?"
Kade immediately started grinning, "What did you just say? Can you please say that again? I'm begging," he starts stomping his feet like a little kid.
Aria lets out a laugh, shaking her head at him, "Nope!"
With that, she grabs Kade's hand and drags him behind him towards the garden and he followed without asking any questions.
"Crescent moon, my favourite," Aria smiles as they take a seat on the wooden bench near the white lilies.
"Aria Arora, my favourite," he smiles at her.
"Never expected the Kade Lennox to be so romantic," she laughs, "I guess you must always expect the unexpected," she shrugs, looking at him.
Aria gets startled by the sudden loud noise and they both look up to see fireworks booming above us, all kinds of colours and art.
"Woah," she places her hand on her chest to calm herself, "The Winchesters surely went all out for this ball. Nothing less from them," she murmurs, watching the never-ending fireworks going off.
"Mhm, although they're not as stunning as my girlfriend," Kade chuckles, "I rather stare at the sight next to me, than above me."
"Kade, you fool," she smiles at him.
"Your fool, Aria," he smiles, moving his face closer to hers.
"I'm all yours, my love," he whispers before placing a soft kiss on her lips and pulling back his face.
Aria holds his face with her hands, smiling at him, "I love you, Kadey," she nuzzles their noses together.
"I love you forever, Aria Arora," he smiles before kissing her again.
