Jin Jeongmuk in the Eyewitness Account was the embodiment of Class 0 itself.
After the entrance ceremony, Gwak Kyung-gu, who was tidying up and heading to the classroom, encountered the martial artist.
To be precise, the martial artist, who had been hiding, suddenly appeared in front of Gwak Kyung-gu with impressive footwork.
â"I am the Dark Darkness swordsman of the martial world, and I come to seek your teachings, senior."
Jin Jeongmuk appeared wearing a black death cap and flowing martial attire.
At that moment, as soon as they saw him, the people who had been preparing for pranks immediately realized that he was from Class 0, but they froze when they heard the words "Dark Darkness."
â"Dark... what? Did I hear that right?"
â"Sounds like you heard it right. Seems like he's not just a martial artist concept."
â"Looks like the Class 0 kids aren't satisfied with just one concept anymore."
â"But didnât a martial artist come to school last year too? I heard the disciple of the Black Forest Sword Saint fought here..."
â"Thereâs a sword and forest drawn on his belt. Thatâs the logo of the Jeolhyeokpoongrim team! He must be their disciple."
Even those who had seen many of Class 0âs eccentricities by the time they became 3rd years couldn't hide their surprise.
It was one thing to be a normal eccentric, but now a disciple of the Jeolhyeokpoongrim teamâs master had appeared, with an extravagant concept.
Fortunately, Gwak Kyung-gu regained his composure.
â"... Are you a Class 0 student? Do you just go around picking fights with anyone?"
â"No. I have heard much about the fame of the Iron Blood Twin Swordsman, Senior Gwak. I happened to become a fellow student at the same school with your disciple and son, Senior Gwak, so I came to seek your teachings."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The "Iron Blood Twin Swords" was a nickname for Gwak Kyung-guâs father, a renowned player known as a genius swordsman.
Though Jin Jeongmukâs attire and behavior were far from the modern sense of common sense, it seemed like a disciple of the Black Forest Sword Saint was asking the disciple of the Iron Blood Twin Swordsman for a duel.
There were many ways to avoid the duel, but refusing would have been a bad look.
â"Understood. But once the duel is over, you must go back to the classroom immediately."
â"Thank you for accepting."
And just like that, Gwak Kyung-gu found himself facing a Class 0 junior on the very first day of school.
The rumor spread quickly, and people from all over gathered to watch the fight.
Among them were students from our class.
The kids who heard the story were eager to go and watch.
âAh, I really wanted to see him fight again.â
âMe too.â
âLetâs go cheer for Jeongmuk!â
âYeah, we canât let someone from our class fight alone!â
Maeng Hyo-don and Han Yi went to check Jeongmuk's martial prowess, while Kwon Lena and Sa-wol Se-eum went to cheer him on.
The class seemed to have mostly agreed to go, and the plan shifted to just going together.
âHmm, then letâs go all together! If we get back before itâs too late, we wonât be late.â
And so, the students from our class made their way to the location of the issue.
The gym in front of Sangin Hall after the entrance ceremony.
Students from the 2nd and 3rd years who had received news from the school bulletin and parents who had stayed to take photos were seated in the audience.
At the center of it all were Gwak Kyung-gu and Jin Jeongmuk.
Kaang!
Jin Jeongmukâs continuous swordplay clashed with Gwak Kyung-guâs twin swords, causing sparks to fly.
The black smoke coming from the continuous swordplay of the Dark Darkness swordsman made it hard to see the movements of the swords clearly, but it was evident that the fight was fierce.
âMost of the audience is cheering for Gwak Kyung-gu. Heâs the student council president and a player with a nickname, while Jin Jeongmuk has been traveling abroad, hiding his name... huh?â
As I looked around the audience, I saw some very colorful individuals cheering for Jin Jeongmuk.
They were the attention-seekers I knew.
âDonât lose, Dark Darkness swordsman! Your sword canât be defeated here!â
âYeah! Since you won against us, you must keep winning!â
Ong Gil-dong and Guseulbi were using every kind of attention-grabbing method to cheer him on.
Ong Gil-dong released aurora-colored balloons into the air, and Guseulbi summoned vines to hang up more aurora-colored cheering tools.
It wasnât just attention-seekers, though. Some of our class members were also there.
Min Green and Song Dae-seok, who had been caught up in the situation, were sitting next to the attention-seekers.
âJeongmukâs ability color is pretty, but itâs a shame that we canât see it clearly because of the device attached to his sword.â
âGreen, are you... Oh, forget it. Letâs just leave and go to class. Weâll be late.â
âYouâre not calling them attention-seekers, are you? Dae-seok, you were loudly cheering for him earlier, whatâs up?â
Song Dae-seok had apparently just switched his position. He had been caught up in the excitement, cheering for Jeongmuk, but after Min Green complimented the ability color, he seemed to suddenly change his mind.
In the chaotic atmosphere, most of the kids were happy to join in.
âEveryone is here! Letâs cheer together!â
âThis will be our classâs first event!â
The kids from our class naturally moved to join the cheering section.
When the attention-seekers saw our classmates gather around them, they puffed up their chests proudly and spoke.
âHow did you guys find us? Oh, I guess we stand out so much that you found us quickly!â
âItâs not exactly what we planned, but the fact that we catch peopleâs attention remains true.â
âYeah, we were easy to spot from far away. Thanks to that, we found you right away.â
Kim Yuri answered brightly, and Ong Gil-dong and Guseulbi grinned, clearly satisfied with themselves.
Apparently, those two had originally planned to make a grand entrance after the entrance ceremony.
But since the ceremony ended earlier than expected, they were planning to make their move later, but Jin Jeongmuk had stolen the spotlight by initiating the fight first.
Though they were frustrated, if Jeongmuk lost, it would almost be like a loss for them too, since they had been defeated by him before, so they decided to cheer for him.
And they planned to use their cheering to further fuel their attention-seeking antics.
âTheyâve used some grandiose rhetoric, but it all boils down to wanting to be noticed.â
Meanwhile, Jin Jeongmuk and Gwak Kyung-gu were exchanging blows.
The back of Gwak Kyung-guâs twin swords slashed toward Jeongmukâs neck, but the flexible movements of Jeongmukâs continuous swordplay kept blocking the attacks.
At a glance, it seemed like Gwak Kyung-guâs twin swords were relentlessly attacking, but Jeongmuk seemed to have more leeway.
It looked like Jeongmuk was observing the movements of Gwak Kyung-guâs swords, as if he were learning from them.
âUnless Gwak Kyung-gu uses his Gwanglim and attacks with full force, Jeongmuk is going to win.â
As Maeng Hyo-don, who was keen on real-world combat, had assessed, Jeongmukâs swordplay was optimized for actual battle.
Gwak Kyung-gu had some experience in otherworldly campaigns, but compared to Jeongmuk, who had been fighting demons overseas, his experience seemed lacking.
It seemed like the best chance for Gwak Kyung-gu was to surprise Jeongmuk with an unexpected, aggressive move before he got too used to the attacks, but wasting valuable Gwanglim time in such a place would be a bad move.
While I was secretly cheering for both of them, another member of our class appeared.
âWow, itâs Teacher Ham Geun-hyeong.â
âTeacher, letâs cheer together!â
Teacher Ham Geun-hyeong, who seemed to have rushed over, was looking a bit grim compared to when we saw him at the entrance ceremony.
Seeing the situation with Jeongmuk fighting Gwak Kyung-gu and our class members cheering him on, it seemed like he quickly assessed the situation and looked a bit worried.
But despite his stern expression, he spoke in a calm voice.
ââ¦I was surprised to see no one in the classroom.â
It seemed like he had been worried that the attendance rate for the 2nd-year Class 0 might be 0% on the first day.
If he had come early to check on the students and no one had shown up, it would have been pretty embarrassing.
If he had known this, he probably would have left a note.
Teacher Ham Geun-hyeong, instead of joining the cheering, moved closer to the fighting area to prevent any accidents.
Neither Gwak Kyung-gu nor Jeongmuk seemed to care about him getting closer and continued the duel.
As the blows exchanged between them, Jeongmuk became even bolder.
âIt looks like Jeongmuk is about to end this. If this drags on, Gwak Kyung-gu will lose.â
Jeongmuk lowered his body at a speed that was hard to follow with the eyes and aimed for Gwak Kyung-guâs side.
Gwak Kyung-gu had gathered his Ineungpa to perform a big move with his twin swords, lifting them high, so it seemed too late to block Jeongmukâs blade.
The only response was to either retreat at Jeongmukâs speed or be struck.
Then it happened.
Suddenly, a strong sound of brass instruments followed by the orchestra playing echoed throughout.
It was the school bell prepared by the orchestra club, with several clubs collaborating to perform the Radetzky March by Johann Strauss.
âItâs time to return to the classroom. Stop!â
As the bell rang, Teacher Ham Geun-hyeong intervened using his Ineungpa to stop the two.
At that, both Jeongmuk and Gwak Kyung-gu immediately sheathed their swords and took a few steps back.
Jeongmuk immediately put his continuous sword back in his belt, while Gwak Kyung-gu carded his twin swords.
âIâve learned a lot.â
âIf there hadnât been a time limit, I would have lost.â
âI thank you for your modesty.â
Jeongmuk bowed respectfully, and Gwak Kyung-gu, his expression complex with frustration, looked at him.
As Jeongmuk lifted his head, Gwak Kyung-gu, hiding his expression, spoke.
âIf you want to study twin swords, go find my fatherâs other disciple. They are better than me.â
The other disciple better than him referred to Joo Su-hyeok.
It seemed like Gwak Kyung-gu might have liked Jeongmuk a bit to suggest he meet Joo Su-hyeok.
Although it was strange, Jeongmuk was serious about dueling, and there seemed to be a mutual understanding between sword users.
âThatâs exactly what I was planning to do.â
It looked like Jeongmuk would soon challenge Joo Su-hyeok to a duel as well.
The First Day at the Hwangmyeong-ho Mansion.
I hadnât planned to rely on them from the first day, but since Eunhoâs descendants insisted several times, I decided to stop by the mansion.
Starting today, I also had to meet Eunjaeho and Hwang Yooho, who were both attending Gwangil Elementary School together. It couldnât be helped.
There were also some things I needed to discuss with the Tigers, so I had to stop by.
âBrother Uishin! I heard that Class 2's 0th class fought with a 3rd-year senior today!â
âIf we had known a bit earlier, we would've gone too. Itâs such a shame.â
Eun Yi-ho and Eun Seo-ho brought up the topic of the duel as soon as they saw me.
On the very first day, the 2nd-year Class 0 had become a hot topic on the schoolâs general bulletin board.
While they had been quiet about attendance, many people had expected that something would happen once they showed up at school.
The general consensus was that they had been on their best behavior while not attending, but now, with school in session, it was clear they would stir things up.
Nevertheless, most people were grateful that the troublemakers of Class 0 had been patient until the end of the previous year.
âHonestly, Iâm more curious about Eunho and the first meeting between Eun Seo-ho and Eun Yi-ho.â
Since they were showing interest like this, I couldnât just shift the conversation abruptly, so I ended up discussing the duel Iâd seen.
When the talk about the duel was finally over, it was already time for dinner.
âKim Shinrok is late.â
We had planned to have dinner together, but Kim Shinrok was nowhere to be found.
I figured he must have been working, so I voiced my concerns to Hwang Jiho.
âMy son is late. Itâs the first day of school, so I assume thereâs a lot of work going on?â
âIâll check.â
Hwang Jiho sent one of his clones to check and then reported back.
âThereâs been an explosion at the 1st-year dormitory. Shinrok, as an advisor for the Jiik-hwe (Student Affairs Committee), is handling the situation. Heâll be here shortly.â
It seemed like the new 1st-year Class 0 students were not your average students.
Among them was Eunho, and I was worried about how he was handling it.
