CHAPTER 1289
Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isnât Easy chapter 1289
Aura let out a sigh. âThis antidote is only enough to save one person.â
With that, she lifted her head to glance at Joshua, then at the rest, who had turned pale as soon as
they heard this. âThe reason why I didnât bring out the antidote earlier is that I havenât decided whether
this antidote would be used to save Luna or Granny Lynchâ¦â
The entire house fell into silence upon hearing this.
Neil, who was sitting in his wheelchair, froze in shock. He turned to glance at Aura, then at Joshua. â
This antidote canâ¦save only one person?â
Neil had always known that Aura had the antidote with her but did not know thatâ¦the antidote was only
enough to cure one person.
One was their well-respected Great-Granny and Daddyâs most important family member.
The other was their beloved Mommy.
The three children fell into silence as they mulled over this.
Bonnie opened her mouth, then quickly snapped it shut. She, too, was unsure of what to say at this
moment.
Everyoneâs gaze fell unanimously on Joshua.
No matter who he ended up choosing, it would seem both right and wrong at the same time.
Aura looked at Joshuaâs pained face with a triumphant expression and could not help adding, â Joshua,
I knew this situation would be challenging for you, so I never told you about the antidote. I know these
two women are very important to youâ¦
âOne of them is your grandmother who raised you, and the other is Luna, who gave birth to three of
your beautiful childrenâ¦
âI knew youâd be caught in a difficult situation, so I Joshua closed his eyes and heaved a deep sigh.
âAura, let us find a timeâ¦and hand the antidote over to Granny.â
With that, a complicated expression passed across Joshuaâs face.
Even though he knew that Luna was just faking her illness and that everything she had done was in
preparation for this exact moment, he still could not feel happy over their triumph.
The image of Luna lying weakly in the ward appeared in his mind.
Truth be toldâ¦he had other ways of helping that would not require Luna to pretend to be sick.
For example, he could force Aura to tell them where the antidote was, rummage around her
belongings, and steal the antidote, butâ¦
âAura is a very sly woman. What if she refuses to tell us even after threatening her, and we canât find it
either?
âJoshua, Grannyâs body is very weak now, and we canât afford to wait any longer.â
Joshua closed his eyes and recalled what Luna had told him.
âI just have to fake being ill and watch you and her be in a relationship for a period; itâs not like I canât
handle it. Iâm glad that I can make such a sacrifice to help Granny. After all, sheâs raised you since you
were young.
âPlease donât be so reluctant. Come on, do as I say, please?âThis belongs to : ©.
Joshua opened his eyes.
Bonnie and the three children were staring at him with anger and helplessness in their eyes.
He knew that to them, him choosing to save Granny meant that he had given up on Luna, but it did not
matter anymore.
Luna had suffered so much to save Granny⦠It did not matter if he had to bear their judgment and
misunderstanding for Grannyâs sake.
Aura was overjoyed at Joshuaâs answer. She grabbed onto Joshuaâs hands in delight. âJoshua, have
you⦠really come to a decision? Youâve decided to give the antidote to Granny?â
Joshua furrowed his brows, then nodded. âYes.â âAlright! â Aura was over the moon.
