CHAPTER 1276
Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isnât Easy chapter 1276
âLuna is in the emergency room! Her situation is critical! â
A cold expression passed through Joshuaâs eyes. â What happened to her?â
âI donât know! â A confused Lucas was panicking. â Doctor said her condition was worse than what
happened to Courtney, just likeâ¦just like what happened to Granny Lynch!
âI just came out of the emergency room. The doctor wants me to find Lunaâs next of kin to sign the
operation consent form, but I donât know who Lunaâs next of kin is, so I came to you! â
Lucasâ panic made a hint of triumphed flash through Auraâs heart. She immediately stood up and said, â
Why did you come to Joshua?
âJoshua and Luna have no relationship whatsoever. You might as well come to me instead. At least, Iâm
her sister.â
With that, she strode in the direction of the door and said, âLetâs go. Iâd like to see what happened to my
dearest sister.â
Joshuaâs expression darkened as he watched Aura gracefully walk away. He quickly followed her and
asked in a low voice, âWhatâs going on? Is it that serious?â
Lucas was drenched in sweat. He wiped away the sweat on his head and replied in a hoarse voice,
âSir, I didnât lie to you. You told me before that if Luna pretended to be sick, I have to inform you as
soon as possible and make it sound like it is worse than it is. I remembered it all, but this timeâ¦Luna
doesnât seem like she is pretending.
âI saw her just now in the emergency room. She really looks like sheâs dying! â
Hearing this made Joshua stunned.
How did this happen? According to Lunaâs plan, she would pretend to get poisoned so that Aura would
believe sheâs poisoned and willingly give the cure to Granny Lynch, so how did this happen?
As soon as he thought of this, Joshua furrowed his brows. Then, he stepped forward, took Auraâs hand,
and rushed back to the hospital urgently.
When Aura felt Joshuaâs hand on hers, she could sense how desperate and anxious Joshua felt. She
narrowed her eyes, and a cold expression passed over her face.
Even though Joshua had claimed he did not care about Luna anymore, it seemed like deep down, he
still had feelings for Luna.
This revelation made Auraâs longing for Luna to die to grow even more intense.
Minutes later, the two of them arrived at the emergency room where Luna was being resuscitated. This belongs to : ©.
The doctors were still trying to save her. The emergency room door kept opening and closing as
doctors and nurses from different departments walked in and out. It was evident that the situation
inside the room was not good at all.
Joshua could not hold it in anymore, so he grabbed hold of a doctor who came out from the room and
asked, âHowâs the patient inside?â
The doctor shook his head, helplessness etched all over his face, and replied, âItâs very bad, very bad.
âIn all of my professional years, this is the first time Iâve ever seen a personâs organs deteriorate so
badly and so quickly. Please, let me go. I have to seek the hospital directorâs opinion on how to deal
with this situationâ¦â
With that, the doctor pushed Joshuaâs hand away, turned around, and left.
The doctorâs statement made Aura even more excited. She grabbed the doctorâs hand and asked in a
gentle voice, âMs. Lunaâs situation nowâ¦how is it compared to next doorâs Granny Lynch?â
âTheir situation shows a lot of similarities.â The doctor sighed. âBut Granny Lynchâs condition was a
result of years of being poisoned. As for this ladyâ¦we do not know what caused this. It seems like she
was heavily poisoned. The doctor that prescribed the medication to her, Dr. Janet, has disappeared.
When we found Luna, she had already fainted. Whether she can survive or not, itâs entirely up to fate.â
As soon as the doctor finished his sentence, the color drained from Joshuaâs face.
He stormed toward the emergency room like an arrow that was released from a bow.
