CHAPTER 1275
Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isnât Easy chapter 1275
Lunaâs entire body stiffened. She gripped Granny Lynchâs hand even tighter and reassured her, âDonât
worry.â
âIâ¦â Luna paused and took a deep breath. Suddenly, the recent memories of Joshua appeared in her
mind, from all the things that Joshua did for her to Joshuaâs voice from Anneâs message.
These made her even more determined to commit to him, so she replied earnestly, âI promise that no
matter what happens in the future, Iâll never give up on Joshua.â
With the reassurance from Luna, Granny Lynch finally felt the sense of relief she wanted. She closed
her eyes and let go of Lunaâs hand.
The machines around her started beeping. The doctors rushed into the room.
âThe patientâs condition is deteriorating! Get me some epinephrine! Non-medical personnel, please
evacuate the room! â
Luna was pulled out of the room by Alfred. Soon after, Granny Lynchâs bed was surrounded by doctors,
trying to resuscitate her.
A drop of tear fell out of the corner of Lunaâs eye without warning.
Granny Lynchâs condition had worsened yet, at the same time, she was also Joshuaâs closest family
member.
Luna clenched both her fists, and she released
herself from Alfredâs grip. âYou wait here. I will get Dr. Janet.â
With that, she took a deep breath and got on the elevator.
Granny Lynchâs condition could no longer wait. Luna had to gamble her luck.
Finally, she reached Dr. Janetâs office and pushed open the door. âDr. Janet, do you still remember
what I told you?â
Dr. Janet raised her eyebrows and glanced at Luna. âTo alter your bodyâs physical state to that of a
poisoned personâs would cause a lot of health consequences. Areâ¦you willing to undergo that?â This belongs to : ©.
Luna nodded.
Dr. Janet lowered her head to glance at the medical profile Luna provided. âI donât care whether or not
this method could get the antidote for Granny Lynch first. Even if we succeed in getting the antidote,
her age and body condition cannot guarantee that sheâll be healthy from here on out. Do you think itâs
worth it to make this sacrifice for an old lady who might not even live long enough to reap the benefits?
Not to mention, sheâs not your family.â
Luna let out an exhale and replied, âBut sheâs a relative of the most important person to me.â
To Joshua, Granny Lynch was his only family member. This meant that for Luna, she was family, too.
Even if it could only prolong her life for a year, this effort would be worthwhile.
Dr. Janet glanced at Luna and noticed the stubborn look in her eyes. She knew there was no way she
could convince Luna to stop, so she had no choice but to relent. âSince you have decided, then letâs do
it. But I have to warn you of the outcome⦠You might need three to five years to recover back to the
state you are in now. Can you accept this?â
Luna nodded earnestly. âYes.â
Joshua brought Aura to the restaurant across the hospital to have breakfast.
Aura bombarded him with questions as though she was already his wife. âLast nightâ¦were you really
at the office working?â
âNo, I went to Lynch Mansion after that, and ever since Granny got admitted into the hospital, Iâve been
taking care of her since.â
âThen how about Luna? Why did the both of you appear in the hospital together?â
âIt was just a coincidence.â
âThenâ â
Before Aura even got to finish her sentence, someone rushed into the restaurant. Lucas stormed into
the restaurant in a panic and cried out, âSir, something bad happened! â
Joshua furrowed his brows at this. âWhat happened?â
âLuna! â Lucas was trying to catch his breath.
