CHAPTER 1102
Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isnât Easy chapter 1102
There was a hint of a smile in Christianâs voice as he said, âWeâve met before. Iâm Joshuaâs nephew.â
Shannon sneaked a look at the man next to her, who at this moment had an expression as cold as ice.
âUm, whereâs Luna?â
âSheâs in the shower,â Christian replied impassively, âif you have anything to tell her, you can just say it
to me.â
The atmosphere in the office seemed to drop a few degrees colder.
Shannon felt her breath catch in her throat. âWellâ¦I wanted to bring a friend to the party tonight, but I
wanted to ask Lunaâs permission first.â
âOf course you can.â Christian furrowed his brows. â By all means, bring an extra guest if youâd like. I âll RêAd latðSt chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
let her know when she comes out of the shower.â
Shannon nodded. âAlright, thenâ¦thank you! â
With that, she quickly hung up, afraid that Joshua would toss the phone out the window in anger.
âPresident Lynchâ¦â
The atmosphere in the office was so cold that Shannon felt she would freeze over at any moment. She
stood up timidly and said, âI âllâ¦Iâll be off now.â
With that, she slipped out of the room without even waiting for Joshuaâs response.
Joshua sat on his chair, his gaze fixated on his office door.
Christianâ¦
Blue Bay Villa.
When Luna came out of the shower, Christian was already in the kitchen, preparing the food.
Nigel and Nellie wanted to help, too, but were chased out of the kitchen by Christian. âDonât come in
and cause me trouble since you donât know anything.
Children shouldnât be in dangerous places like this. Go off and play on your own! â
Nellie was so frustrated at Christianâs attitude that she snapped, her hands on her waist. âJust because
you know how to cook a little, that doesnât make you better than us! Youâre already nineteen! Neil is
only six, but heâs already a great cook! If he were here today, you wouldnât be behaving like this at all! â
Christian furrowed his brows, not knowing how to explain everything to Nellie.
Finally, he let out an exhale and gently stroked Nellieâs hair. âAlright, alright. Itâs such a jolly occasion
today, so please donât bring up bad news like this.â
Nellie frowned upon hearing this. âWhat do you mean, bad news? Is bringing Neil up bad news? Iâve
told you; Neil isnât dead at all! Everyone just thinks he is! â
Luna, who at this moment was standing on the stairs, watched the determined look on Nellieâs face as
she defended her brotherâs death and could not
help but feel comforted.
She used to think that Neil was dead as well, but now Every time she saw how sure Nigel and Nellie
were that Neil was still alive, Luna could not help but feel a surge of warmth spread through her body.
After tonightâs party, she would tell them the truth about Neil, and all of them would work together to
track Neil down and restore his memory!
Christian knew it was no use arguing with Nellie, so he lifted his head to shoot Luna a helpless look. â
Please discipline your daughterâ¦â
Luna curled her lips into a smile. âShe didnât do anything wrong.â
With that, she strode into the kitchen and put on her apron while instructing Lily to take Nigel and Nellie
into the yard to play.
Christian helped her as she prepared the rest of the supplies. âOh, by the way, Shannon called just now
and said she wanted to bring a friend to our party tonight. I told her it was fine.â
Luna murmured in approval. She did not invite many people tonight, so it was no harm having an extra
person there.
Althoughâ¦
She furrowed her brows and asked, âDid Shannon say anything about her friend? Is it her boyfriend? â
Christian mulled over this for a moment before replying, âI guess so.â
Luna nodded. âAlright, then letâs prepare a coupleâs seat and a coupleâs meal for the two of them.â
