It seemed that the lord-level magical beast thought Beiting Huang, who wasnât even a Divine Emperor, was a weakling not worthy of its full strength, so it chose to attack Beiting Huang in the most primitive way, akin to an eagle preying on a chicken.
However, it must be said that this Fierce Bird was the strongest adversary Beiting Huang had ever faced. Not only was there a three-level gap in strength between it and Beiting Huang, but in this completely unfamiliar world, Beiting Huang had to be extra cautious.
âFoolish human, This King makes a move, and you think you can escape with that meager strength of yours from This Kingâs grasp? Donât you even wonder whether This King would allow it!â a shrill cry rang out overhead.
That voice was infused with immense Soul Power, striking directly at Beiting Huangâs mind. The piercing sound almost burst Beiting Huangâs eardrums, causing a surge of blood to rush to his head. Before Beiting Huang could recover, a powerful storm spiraled behind him, and a mountain-crushing force smacked hard against his back. Beiting Huangâs body went out of control, flung like a kite with a broken string towards the mountain peak, where he smashed into it violently.
The divine power was interwoven with flashing lightning power, enveloping Beiting Huangâs entire body. Even so, when Beiting Huangâs body slammed into the cliff, his internal organs had shifted out of place. This was just the Fierce Bird using its most primitive attack. Had it employed its lord-level strength, probably Beiting Huangâs life would no longer exist.
âDamn it! You think just because I donât fight back, Iâm afraid of him?â Leaning against an old tree growing out of the cliff, Beiting Huang suddenly coughed up several mouthfuls of blood, swallowed them back down fiercely, patted his chest, and looked up into the sky.
Now, he could finally see clearly the Fierce Bird that had been relentlessly attacking him. Its massive magical beast body nearly filled the entire sky. It retracted its wings and floated in the void, blocking the dim sun above. Its entire body was dark and shaggy, unimpressive in appearance, with three legs and a pair of eyes flashing with cruel light, emitting a bone-chilling coldness that made one shudder.
âYou filthy crow, I didnât provoke you, so why did you attack me?â Beiting Huang, new to this place, had initially intended to keep a low profile. Yet, he had been bombarded by this magical beast from the moment he arrived, and now, a slow but sure intent to kill began to gather in his eyes.
âA crow?â
Upon hearing Beiting Huang call it a crow, the three-legged black bird flew into a rage. It lifted one wing, pointing at Beiting Huang, unleashing earth-shattering energy that rushed fiercely towards him and blasted the cliffside around Beiting Huang, âHow dare you, you brat! You dare to belittle This King, calling This King, the noble Blue Bird, a crow? Youâre the crow, your whole family are crows!â@@novelbin@@
âBlue Bird? Whatâs that?â Beiting Huang slowly shook his head, indicating his ignorance. He didnât need to understand, as this clearly deranged bird didnât seem like something Beiting Huang needed to communicate with more than necessary. What he needed was to get back at it for the beating he had taken. He was looking for an opportunity.
Within his divine power, a massive lightning force was already wrapped around, gradually surging towards the tip of the sword. While the crow went on ranting at Beiting Huang, he lightly tapped his foot on a tree branch and thrust his flexible sword fiercely towards the Blue Bird.
