The familiar chime of the delivery notification sliced through the late-night quiet.  Sebastian, a pizza delivery boy whose cheeks perpetually held a dusting of freckles, found himself pulling up to a house bathed in the soft glow of porch lights.  He'd been working late, the usual Friday night rush stretching well into the wee hours.  As he approached the door, he saw her.  The customer.  Her smile, shy and hesitant, sent a surprising jolt of warmth through him.

"Hi," she began, her voice a soft melody in the stillness of the night.  "How much?"

Sebastian, usually quick-witted, found himself momentarily tongue-tied.  His cheeks, already flushed from the late hours, deepened in color.  "Uh... twenty bucks," he mumbled, his voice barely a whisper, the words catching in his throat.  He watched, mesmerized, as she nodded, her eyes sparkling with a gentle light.

Back in his car, the lingering warmth of her presence still clinging to him like a phantom touch, he began to gather his things.  Then he saw it – tucked neatly beneath the crisp twenty-dollar bill, a small, folded piece of paper.  Unfolding it carefully, his breath hitched.  There, in elegant script, was her phone number, accompanied by a simple, heart-fluttering message: "Call me maybe? <3"

The next few days were a whirlwind of nervous excitement.  Texts flew back and forth, each message a thrilling leap across the chasm of unspoken feelings.  He learned her name – Y/N – and discovered a shared love for cheesy movies and late-night talks.  His happiness soared when she appeared at the pizza place where he worked, not just as a customer, but as a visitor.  He was a nervous wreck, his usual easy charm replaced by a stammering awkwardness, especially when her parents were around.  The sight of them only amplified his already considerable blush.

Then came the night as her parents prepared to leave, Y/N lingered, her eyes twinkling with mischief.  She told them she'd wait outside the shop, a simple excuse that masked a deeper intention.  Returning to the spot where they'd sat earlier, she leaned in, her lips brushing against his cheek, then his lips – a quick, sweet peck that left him breathless.  A wave goodbye, and then she was gone, leaving him standing there, utterly stunned, his heart pounding a rhythm of pure, unadulterated joy.  He hadn't slept a wink that night, his mind replaying the events of the evening, each detail etched vividly in his memory.  The taste of her kiss, the warmth of her touch, the sheer, overwhelming joy of her presence – it was all too much, and yet, not nearly enough.
