Chapter 29 Let Them Kill Each Other!

Faint roars sounded from afar as though it was trying to prove Wu Yue’s words as soon as he finished speaking.

Wei Feng and him looked up at the same time, their faces as dark as water.

“Captain, it looks like we’re almost there.”

The scorching sun shone on the ground, roasting every creature on the ground. It seemed abnormally equal.

Lin Bai’s face was calm, and his lips curled into a faint smile.

“Isn’t that the right time? It’s almost noon! The sun will be at its peak!”

Wu Yue felt uneasy.

This was beyond his imagination after all.

“I’ll go take a look first and see how many of them there are.”

Wu Yue looked at Lin Bai as if he was asking for his opinion.

Lin Bai paused.

He knew what Wu Yue meant. Wu Yue was afraid that they would be in danger.

He might be the team leader in name but Wu Yue seemed to still treated him as a student.

Lin Bai looked up at Wu Yue and smiled faintly at him.

“Instructor Wu, I’ll go.”

“Give me 10 minutes. You can contact the rescue team if I don’t come back in 10 minutes.”

“You guys hide here first. Don’t come out no matter what you hear!”

Wu Yue wanted to retort instinctively.

However, Lin Bai patted his shoulder. His eyes seemed to be able to see through his thoughts.

“Instructor Wu, I’ll go take a look. You’ll be in charge of commanding them.”

Wu Yue paused, knowing that Lin Bai meant to remind him that there were others with them. Li Tongwu and the others were also students.

Wu Yue did not say anything else and merely nodded.

Lin Bai smiled.

“Don’t worry. Remember, it’s only 10 minutes. I’ll be back in 10 minutes!”

After saying that, he walked towards the source of the roars without looking back.

A moment later, a ferocious beast appeared from the grass and rushed over.

That was Lin Bai’s transformation into an Origin Rabbit.

He carefully approached the herd. The closer he got to the herd, the more deafening the sound became, which could probably topple people over.

Lin Bai’s heart sank.

He raised his eyes and looked over. The tide-like beasts were resting around the pole fire last night, as if they were very tired from the battle.

The empty space between the mountain gorges was contaminated by the aura of the beasts. An indescribable smell rushed straight to Lin Bai’s nose.

Lin Bai found it extremely unbearable.

He hunched his back and carefully blended into the herd of beasts.

A huge Origin Tiger Beast widened its lantern-sized eyes and looked at Lin Bai. It was very vigilant and spat when it saw Lin Bai.

Lin Bai was confused for a moment, but he was not worried about his transformation. He had specially smeared the aura of the Origin Rabbit on himself before he came after all.

“Why are you back so late! Were you discovered when you went to the school?”

These beasts could actually speak human language!

However, it did not seem to be in the records.

It was not proficient in the language and even sounded a little crude.

“I want to see the King! These humans are too cunning. I almost couldn’t come back!”

Lin Bai sounded exasperated.

The Origin Tiger Beast’s intelligence didn’t seem to be too high. It didn’t say anything hearing that, only leaning closer to Lin Bai and looking up at him.

Lin Bai flashed slightly.

“Where is the king?”

The Origin Tiger Beast raised its claws, its eyes filled with greed and fear.

It pointed in the direction of the cave. Lin Bai took a look and immediately slipped in.

Only the beast kings resided in the cave on the high platform. This cave was wide and spacious, and the surroundings emitted a faint green light that shone into the depths.

The cold and damp water vapor made Lin Bai tremble.

The deeper he went, the stranger the cave became. The water-soluble ice pillars emitted a magical halo, making Lin Bai inexplicably feel uneasy and frustrated.

His intuition told him that there was something wrong with these icicles.

Lin Bai soon arrived in front of the beast king’s cave after advancing quickly.

A small beast rushed in and came out in a hurry. It nodded at Lin Bai and opened its mouth silently.

Lin Bai followed it in and saw a robust and tall Origin Monkey. This monkey beast had long fur all over its body, and its eyes were wide open. Its cheeks seemed to have been smeared with rouge.

It looked at Lin Bai coldly.

“School! How did it go?”

Lin Bai choked.

“There are many guards in the school. I went over from the back of the mountain and caught a student. I was forced to retreat before I could interrogate him.”

“I hid at the side and heard them say that they want to attack tonight and annihilate us in one fell swoop!”

Lin Bai’s words infuriated the Origin Monkey Beast.

The monkey beast immediately shattered the stone chair with a slap!

BOOM!

Lin Bai revealed a little fear. “My King, what should we do now?” He asked testingly The Origin Monkey harrumphed coldly. It mumbled something in beast language that Lin Bai couldn’t understand. It became even angrier seeing that Lin Bai didn’t move at all.

Then, a gust of wind blew. Lin Bai fell out of the cave and grabbed the little beast guarding the door with a frightened expression. “What does the King want! It’s too scary. I didn’t listen carefully just now!” The little beast snorted.

“The king said to gather the troops! We’ll attack the school tonight and annihilate these damned humans in one fell swoop! Let them all become our food!”

The little beastie’s eyes emitted a bloodthirsty and excited light.

Lin Bai immediately found an excuse and immediately left the cave, quietly circling around.

He returned to his original form and looked at the time.

There were still two minutes to go!

He had to hurry back!

Wu Yue’s hand that was about to make a call stopped in mid-air as soon as Lin Bai arrived.

He heaved a sigh of relief and looked at Lin Bai indifferently.

“How is it? Have you found the beast king?”

Lin Bai nodded. He looked around and spoke crisply to everyone.

“I saw it. This is just a small herd of beasts. There are only a few dozen of them!”

“The Beast King is an Origin Monkey. I also discovered that they can speak human language! It’s just that they aren’t very good at it yet.”

Lin Bai frowned slightly and looked at Wu Yue and Wei Feng. “Instructor Wu, when you faced the beasts previously, did you hear them speak in human language?”

Wu Yue was stunned.

“No! We’re almost fighting all the way!”

They only wanted to annihilate them or protect the civilians every time they encountered a herd of beasts.

Where would he find the time to pay attention to whether these beasts could speak human language?

Wu Yue frowned tightly.
