GIANNA

“I’m here, Kol.”

Tears streamed down my face as he hugged me. “You’re back! You’re here! I can’t—I—I can’t believe it. You’re here!”

I just nodded, crying silently, and pulled him close. “I’m back. I’m here.”

A blonde blur landed on me with a thud. “G! Gia! I can’t believe it! I knew you’d make it,” Liv wailed, cutting off my oxygen.

Kol kept his hands on my waist, letting her hug me. “Liv, I can’t breathe,” I gasped out. She let me go, laughing slightly, her face red from crying.

Diego came up behind her and pulled me into a hug. “Knew you had it in you, sis. Welcome back. We missed you.”

I heard him choke back tears and instantly felt my eyes well up. He’d never shown emotion like that before.

I walked over to my parents, looking at their shocked expressions. “Gianna,” Mom whispered, reaching out to touch my face. She gasped when her fingers touched my cheek.

“I’m here, Mom. I’m back. I’m real,” I giggled, tears still flowing down my cheeks. I turned to Dad and pulled them both into a hug.

I felt Dad break down when he hugged me, his shoulders shrugging with his tears. Mom rubbed my back. We stood like this for a few minutes before breaking apart.

“Well, now that I’m back, why don’t we celebrate?

“I dunno about you guys, but I could use a drink or several,” I laughed, settling into Kol’s arms that he’d wrapped around me again, his lips planting kisses on my neck.

“As long as it’s not bourbon, because I think Kol and your dad cleared us out.” Liv smirked, and we laughed.

“Come on, let’s gather all the wolves. We have much to celebrate tonight!” Mom exclaimed, running off excitedly.

“Woman loves a party. Any excuse.” Diego rolled his eyes, and I giggled.

“I missed it. I’m just happy to be back. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I would make it.” I felt Kol’s arms tighten on me, and I snuggled into him. “I’m glad I’m back,” I whispered in his ear.

“Actually, we will meet you guys out there. I need to talk to Diego quickly about something,” Liv said, blushing.

I gave her a knowing wink and led Kol out to follow Mom and Dad. “What’s that about?” Kol asked, clutching my hand in his.

“I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.” I winked at him

“I missed you,” he whispered.

“I really lost it when you were gone, Gia. I felt you slipping away from me. I was going crazy knowing I couldn’t help you, that I didn’t talk to you that day, that I didn’t comfort you.

“When you did what you did, G, I was so proud of you, but when you didn’t come back, I felt like a part of me was missing. Honestly, Gia, if it wasn’t for Liv, I don’t think I would have survived.”

“I know. I could hear you guys when I was over there, just bits and pieces, really. But I’m back now, Kol, and you don’t need to worry. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.”

I kissed him and led him outside, where Mom had gathered everyone. Rogue wolves were reuniting with their mates. Members of our pack were trickling into the grounds, their eyes wide with curiosity.

“Welcome, everyone!” my father boomed. “Tonight we celebrate as my daughter, your princess and luna, has returned to us!”

I blushed as cheers and howls rang out throughout the crowd. Kol clasped my hand and squeezed it tightly.

Diego and Liv appeared behind us, beaming. “If I could interrupt, Father, we have an announcement to make.”

Diego stepped forward and cleared his throat. “As delighted as I am to have my pain in the ass of a sister back from the land of limbo—”

I thumped his arm and he winced, cursing slightly. A rumble of laughter sounded throughout the crowd, and he spoke again.

“My mate and I are happy to announce we are expecting a pup! Due in the fall!” Cheers rang out, and I hugged Liv excitedly.

Mom grabbed her too, squealing, “This is so amazing!”

Kol and Father shook hands with Diego before hugging Liv, congratulating them both.

“That settles it, then! Tonight we celebrate! Frieda, darling?” Mom stepped forward and threw light orbs into the sky, lighting the grounds with their glow. Ooos and aahs rang out.

The maids appeared with drinks and food for everyone, and we began our celebrations.

After the celebrations had begun to die down, Kol and I got ready to head home.

My parents had insisted that we stay at the castle, but after I not so subtly pointed out that my mate and I hadn’t seen each other in just over two months, they agreed on dinner the following day.

Back at the house, I got ready for bed. “Great news about Liv and Diego, huh?” I asked, fluffing my pillows. ~God, I missed this bed.~

“Mmm, yeah,” Kol mumbled into my neck.

“Mmm, hey, do you think maybe we should work on some cousins for their pups? What do you say?” I mumbled as he kissed my neck, his hands roaming my body.

“I say I haven’t seen you naked in two months. Why are you still wearing clothes?” I giggled and unbuttoned my jeans, wiggling them to the floor.

Kol growled in appreciation and threw me onto the bed. “You’re so beautiful,” he mumbled into my neck, inhaling my scent. I wrapped my legs around his waist and tugged him close.

Our hands wandered each other’s bodies, removing clothes in a hurry. “God, I missed you,” I gasped, feeling his hard body under my touch.

I pulled him in for a kiss and sank deeper into the bed. He tucked my legs around his waist, sliding into me roughly. “Ooooooohhh!” My eyes rolled in my head, and he growled, biting into my neck.

I clutched him tighter and dug my nails into his back, drawing blood. “Fuck, Gia. I missed you,” he grunted, thrusting into me.

I lifted one leg up around his neck and arched my back, clutching the bed sheets. “Fuck, Kol. Oh my God,” I groaned.

He took a nipple in his mouth and sucked it, his hand playing with the other one before switching. I felt my orgasm building, my eyes rolling in my head.

“Aaaaaaaahhhhh,” I cried out, waving my orgasm. Kol followed a couple of thrusts later. We lay in each other’s arms, stroking each other gently.

“I’m happy you’re home, babe.” He kissed my forehead.

“Me too, babe,” I replied, kissing him back.

It felt good to be back in my mate’s arms; it felt like I was really home.

The first round took the edge off. Not seeing your love for a couple of months builds up frustration.

After that, we just made love slowly, reconnecting with each other, reminding each other of our love.

I didn’t want that night to end. I fell asleep in his arms and knew I was never going to let him go.
