I couldn't stop thinking about what Zahra said. Not after I went, not while working out, not I met up with Lucas and not during the movie.

I actually like Black Panther but I can't concentrate.

It's 7:55, only 5min left. Should I go there? I feel like she's lying but she looked so confident I don't think even she could lie that good.

What should I do? I'm pretty sure I won't rest until I know.

"If you want we can get out of here. We can eat pizza or anything you want." Lucas dragged me out of my thoughts.

I whipped my head to him confused and then the facts came crashing down.

I was on a date with Lucas.

And he felt my absence of my mind.

Of course he did. We did not even talk about anything since we came here.

"No umm... I'm sorry I... a lot is going on in my mind." I said my feet restless.

That's it, I'm going.

I stood up without warning which made Lucas look up at me skeptical.

"Lucas I'm sorry... I gotta go. I'll promise I'll make it up to you another time." With that I was gone.

My heart racing secretly hoping that Amir wouldn't be that cruel. Hoping he wouldn't break my heart, something I fear.

Walking turned into running. My feet pounding on on the ground while holding my hijab. I certainly looked like a mad woman.

Thank God the cinema was near the park so I got there fast. My chest rising and dropping, my eyes searched for Amir. And what I saw made me stop.

Halt both my movements and breath.

Amir hugging Zahra. My vision got blurry and a tear escaped from my eyes. Amir was hugging Zahra. My head went blank.

Is this why he's away every night?

I took a step back but my feet collided with a plastic bag that made a loud noise. Amir and Zahra turned to me and Amir's eyes widened.

But I ran away not being able to watch what was happening before me and his reaction. The last thing I saw was Zahra smirking.

I wanted to rip the smirk off her face but it wasn't her fault. It was my fault. Giving him my heart, that was a mistake I dared to make.

I didn't realize I was running again until he grabbed my arm pulling me to stop.

Tears were flowing, I could hear my heart shattering.

"Layla is not-" he began but I screamed.

"Let me go!"

"Hear me out."

"No, I don't want to hear anything." I pulled away my arm under his grasp.

"Is this what you do every night?" My voice cracked. "Is this- oh my god, you're so disgusting." I step backwards.

"What? No! What are you thinking?! Layla, that's not what it looks like." He moved closer but I held up my hand.

"Don't come near me." I warned. My checks flushed and warm tears replacing each other.

"Layl-"

I ran yet again away.

"Hey.." Latifa rubbed my back.

"I don't know when I fell for him. I was stupid." I sobbed into her chest as she brough me closer, hugged me harder.

"L stop crying woman and let's go kill that guy." Latifa shook my shoulders, she looked angry.

"Latifa calm down, dont jump into conclusions. Maybe that bimbo threw herself at him." Sabrina said from across the room. She walked toward us with a glass of water in hand. She beside me on the bed and handed me the glass.

I'm so thankful I have friends like them. They're both my angel and devil on each side of my shoulders.

After my meeting Amir, I couldn't go back home. I didn't want to see him so I went the only place I could breathe.

Latifa's house. When she saw me she panicked, I couldn't blame her, I looked like a mess. Then she called Sabrina over and I'm still crying over a boy like a teenage girl.

Well I am still a teenager, but why am I crying? I need to stop. He doesn't deserve my tears.

"Wipe your tears, he doesn't deserve it." Latifa said, her face grim. I did as I was told.

"Come on let's order pizza and watch a movie. Let's have some girl time today, it's been a while." Latifa said as she got up and went in her closet before she shouted "do you guys want pjs? I have some extras."

"Yes please, I want to get out of this clothes." Sabrina said.

And for hours we talked and ate a lot until my cravings were gone and my abdominal cramps lessened.

We had fun, I almost forgot my broken heart.

In the end we gave up and sprawled on Latifa's queen sized bed.

I woke up to a phone ringing. It was not my mine that's for sure. Latifa rolled on her and continued her sleep.

I sat up and reached for her phone. As soon as I sat up I regretted it because my head hurt like hell, it was still dark outside. I groaned as I looked at the screen before I picked it up.

It was Scarlett.

"Yes..." my voice came put husky.

"Gurl have you seen Layla?" She asked calmly.

"Yes, I am Layla, Scarlett."

"Oh hi, why aren't you picking up your phone? And where are you?"

"I switched off my phone and I'm at Latifa's, why?" I rolled my eyes. I have Latifa's phone, where else would I be? Is she drunk?

"It's nothing I just wanted to know." She said, no hint of being drunk or anything like that. Then she said "What have you done to Amir? He's flipping out and going insane looking for you. Like you were kidnapped or something. Is there something going on between you too?"

"Don't tell him I'm here." I said quickly " I dont want to meet him and let's talk tomorrow. I'm sleepy." I said and she hummed in response before I hanged up.

After having a phone in my hand, I wondered where mine went. I looked around me for my phone only to find it on the night stand. I took it and switched on before I took a look at it.

17 missed calls from Amir.

22 unread messages from Amir.

The messages were all about asking me answer or begging me to tell him.

What makes him think I want to talk to him?

When I was about to turn off my phone, the screen flashed Amir's number.
