Finn

In a household When there is usually more than one sibling, the children usually fall in designated categories, like the; golden child, who is exactly what mommy and daddy wanted. Or the average child, the very basic kid, everything about them is just mundane and dull, - Or the mommy's boy, - Or even, the hard worker, always over achieving pushing himself to the maximum, - to summarize there was basically quite a few stereotypes.

Then there was the kids, that just no matter what they do, or what they say, they'd always be an outcast. Aka: the black sheep

Finn was your classic black sheep in the Windell family. Not even in just looks, but in every way possible, even so that Finn's father Greg took it upon himself to declare Finn a toxic waste of oxygen

But like a criminal who had been arrested, or a kid who was expelled, or even a black sheep disowned by his own birth parents. - There was always some sort of tearjerker back story that explained why the person was the way they were

Finn was a smart kid to begin with, smart as in; that by the time he came of age to begin school, That a well-known boarding school for boys only, known as Hesterfelden, the school best in academics, sports and improving personal status, wanted Finn and guaranteed him a full scholarship up till he graduated.

Finn was there for approximately five years or more, with no connection or interaction with his family or the outside world.

In that period of time, he studied hard, hardly played or participated in anything else that wouldn't help or improve his reports, and was extremely dedicated to getting out of there.

Why?

Because he hated the school to his guts, Finn thought that if he worked hard enough, he would graduate early, and be gone with the school. It wasn't entirely impossible.

Then moving onto physically and appearance wise, Finn was a very scrawny kid, tall, lanky, and very shy, he spoke very little and spent most of his time behind a book, or in his room.

But of course all this studying had to have benefited him somehow.

And in time it did. Finn excelled in everything, and did most of his grades in five months while other kids did it in twelve. He got a lot of recognition and praise, and it was only natural that the other kids got quite jealous, jealousy lead to many things, including being beaten and tormented every day for the rest of your school life. They stole his money that his father sent him every month that he usually saved, they cut holes in his clothes that he left in the laundry room, and made sure every moment he spent at Hesterfelden was pure living hell.

As anyone would, Finn eventually got sick of it, and got so angry, that he snapped.

And all hell broke loose.

It started when he threatened a boy with a knife to his throat, drawing just a trickle of blood, just enough that the boy had shat himself.

The boy that the deed had been done upon was one of the main kids who took pleasure in making Finn's life as shitty as it could get, and after that incident that went down, Finn was left alone completely

That was until the kid Finn had scarred decided to rat him out, and just like that Finn was expelled and out of that school in less than six hours.

The thing about being expelled from good schools, was that it affected the schools you were to go to afterwards, almost like you had a criminal record and you were trying get employed.

You were tainted, like blacklisted. Worst part was if you enrolled at a new school and the school you were enrolling at found out; they'd ask why you were expelled? Even if you were practically in the school, if the why wasn't what they wanted to hear, you could forget it

Finn came home, and his father was furious at him, for throwing away a great opportunity.

He had known they would hate him for it, nothing could change that.

But that wasn't the point, in actual fact what hurt Finn the most was that they never even gave him a chance to speak or at least tell them what happened or how it came about

Being gone so long with no communication with his family; he had missed out a lot on his sibling's lives. So in that time that he was staying with them the Windell kids became inseparable.

Cecily and Dave loved their brother, they never wanted him to leave again

but unfortunately their father wanted different

Greg Windell wanted Finn gone, Finn didn't appreciate anything and he had just tossed a great opportunity in the trash without a care in the world.

Greg was furious

There was also the issue that a lot of good schools didn't want Finn.

Finn's father refused to settle for less.

Eventually a decision was made, the decision that changed his life.

Finn was sent to his aunt Marge, a scholar, who had spent a third of her life in the education field, and the rest of her life she seemed to have focused all of her energy into being a dick

She was a control freak, who was crazy.

Marge didn't want to deal with Finn; she hated her brother for sending Finn to her, making Finn her burden

And since she had no one else to take it out on, Finn happened to be a very convenient target for her rage, which was also partly why Finn had been kicked out of the house and onto the streets exactly a year later

A kid roaming the streets, living out of garbage cans, and bridges that provided shelter

Finn's family, never knew that Finn had landed on the street, as Aunt Marge had never said a word to them

Till eventually too many years on the street led to getting involved with the wrong people and things: drugs, women and weaponry.

And the next thing he knew, he was living a lifestyle that exceeded the limits of 'dangerous'

The kind of lifestyle where it's normal to get stabbed if you don't deliver on time

the type of lifestyle that scarred your skin, tested your morals, but gave you power in turn

The type of lifestyle that could get a kid killed.

Finn's appearance was very striking; long flailing limbs and skin ever so pale, plus the scars made him look weak, it also marked his defeats, he took it as his greatest weakness

So he covered them up

All of them

With ink

Three years later, Aunt Marge died of heart failure.

And Finn's parents came for him

But there was no sign of him

And all that the neighbours could offer Mr and Mrs Windell concerning the whereabouts of their eldest son, was that Marge was as crazy as they came, and in all the time that they had been living there, they couldn't quite recall a boy

Life went on

His parents searched for him, for the first couple of months, not sure if he was dead at sea, lost, or living a whole new life in a different country

And when Finn eventually found out about his aunts mishap, and his parents rapid search for their dearest oldest child

He didn't go back

This was his life now.

Police searched and searched for Finn, but no matter what, they always circled back empty handed.

Till one day Finn was sent to deliver quite a big package. This specific deal was more than just a risk, but there was a handsome sum of money on the table, so they took the deal.

It was a set up

Finn was arrested along with a few others, while two of them got away.

In this business people fall and get arrested all the time, but once you get arrested, the number one rule was; if you got caught, you didn't snitch on the others, No matter what.

Even if you were trapped on the wrong side.

Finn was traced back to his family

They were disgusted with his appearance, the tattoos the shaved head and all, but they were glad they found their long lost son

So this time they listened

His parents took him in again, where he went to high school like a normal kid alongside his brother and sister; everything was normal and great for a while in Finn's life for the first time.

That didn't mean Finn was in the clear

It didn't take long for Greg and Claire to find things that no parent should have to witness their kid having

Another thing about being in that business, is that once you in, it was like signing over your life to be entirely in their service for probably as long as you lived

which was why when Finn got out on the bail that his parents had provided, the people Finn was working for reached out to him again and instructed Finn to lay low for a while, as something blew up really big, which resulted in everyone having to lay low

Like; out of sight out of mind, low

His parents disowned him the second he stepped in the house that night. And shunned him out of their hose, bound to never see him again, this time for good.

Finn had to leave again.

Dave, Finn's younger brother couldn't bear to let his brother leave him again.

He was tired of it, but there was nothing he could say or do to make his parents take in Finn again

Dave had a plan

He and their sister Cecily helped to get a long forgotten cabin that Greg and Claire had no interest in, That was given to them by their parents great great aunt twice removed when she passed, and their parents thought it was useless because it was in the middle of nowhere and a piece of junk - or so they claimed many of times

Dave thought it was perfect for Finn.

So Dave and Cecily kicked it in shape until it was ready for Finn to live there for as long as he could ever want
