Everything went well at Amari's birthday party and now I was back in California taking care of business which was going on the day time talk show "The Real" and going to a photoshoot for my mothers upcoming collection. Michael was in New York  for a interview at "The View" so I was going to get some work done before he comes back and distracts me.

Laila and I was walking inside the building with security as reporters was standing outside the building taking pictures. Laila was smiling as I was just trying to get into the building. I immediately grabbed Laila's hand pulling her into the building as Chloe trailed behind us laughing. The backstage crew led us to a dressing room where Chloe touched up on my hair and make up.

I was watching my mother as she was a guest on the Ellen show with William. They were mostly talking about their engagement and I was so happy for them. "How does the kids feel about you two finally getting married?" Ellen asked them.

"Well we been together forever and the kids basically grew up around William." My mother said. "Who would you say is the most excited?" Ellen questioned as I placed some gold "Chanel" drop earrings into my ears.

"The girls are really excited but Y/N is the one who is super excited. Everyday she's texting me about having her design my wedding dress but having me make it" my mother said as the crowd laughed. "Speaking of Y/N you two aren't the only ones who are sharing news" Ellen started off. "It was reported today that Y/N and Michael are expecting" Ellen said as my mouth dropped as my mother and William looked at her confused.

"She's expecting what? A package on her door step?" William questioned as they started laughing. "No she's expecting, expecting" Ellen added. "Wait you're pregnant?" Laila asked excitedly. "What?! No" I expressed.

"I'm just kidding around" Ellen started off as William took a breath making me smile. "But their relationship came as a shock to a lot of people." She said as my mother just smirked making me laugh. "I mean look at them they went from this to this" she started off as it was a picture of Michael and I when we were younger and he had braids next to a picture of Michael and I from my birthday.

"I have never seen this picture" William admitted as it was a picture of Me sitting on Michaels lap as I stuck my tongue out and he kissed my neck. "Of all pictures" I said to myself hearing Chloe laugh as she looked over my shoulder at the show. "William's about to have a damn stroke" Chloe joked making me laugh. There was then a knock on the door as one of the backstage crew members came in about to hook my up to the mics. Chloe looked over my outfit for anything out of the Norm.

They hooked me up as I walked out the dressing room with the crew. They soon introduced me onto the show as the audience started clapping and I walked onto the stage smiling and waving at everyone. I got a hug from each of the hosts.

"Hi how are you?" Loni asked excitedly as I smiled "you look absolutely gorgeous" jeannie said as the audience begun to clap and I smiled thanking them. "I'm great! I'm happy to be back with family and friends" I admitted. "So you went off to college in Atlanta on a full ride at seventeen by yourself, how was that?" Tamera asked as I nodded "it was bittersweet, I wanted to be here for everyone but I also wanted to go away to school and experience college" I started off. "And just wanted to learn me" I admitted. "And you graduated as one of the students top of your class and now is a Licensed nurse practitioner" Adrienne expressed as the audience begun to clap again as i smiled.

"That is so great especially with being a child of a WELL known and loved designer." Loni started off. "What made you want to separate yourself from this and even go off to college?" Loni asked. "Growing up I watched my mother struggle and with struggling comes a hustlers mindset. so although my mother is where she is today that's something she WORKED for and i knew that me going through high school, getting a full ride and going away to college was me obtaining something that I've worked hard for." I started off. "I wanted to accomplish that on my own and it was something I could cherish and be proud of myself with." I added hearing the audience clap.

"I love this because we're now in a day and age where honestly no one want to work hard for anything now. With everything you want to do whether it's YouTube, school, a business, a podcast, Etc. it takes work" Tamera said as we all agreed.

"So why did you decide to come back to LA after all these years?" Jeannie asked and looked over at me. "My mother wanted me back" I honestly said. "Awww" I heard them say. "Yeah she wanted me to relax and enjoy life, the life she wasn't abled to give to me when I was growing up she wants me to live it now. Every dream that I had as a child she wants me to live it out now" I explained.

"You're twenty eight years old now and back home, What are some of the things that you want to accomplish since you're back?" Loni asked. "I want my own children's book dedicated to black girls about their hair. Get back into dancing" I started off as they smiled and nodded. "And I honestly just want to do everything" I said making them laugh as I let out a small laugh. "I feel the sky is the limit so why not?" I asked as they agreed.

"So you've been back home for a year now, how has it been since you came back?" Adrienne asked. "It was rocky at first, but everything literally just fell into place so easily and now I'm here" I said with a smile. "Now we want to get to what we've all been dying to know about" Jeannie started off. "Girl with you being back you also got with Michael B. Jordan" Loni said as women from the audience started to scream and make me laugh. "Yes, he is my boyfriend" I admitted as they all smiled from ear to ear. "Okay how did this all start?" Tamera asked as they was giving me their undivided attention.

"Like the feelings or the relationship it's self?" I asked "all of it" Jeannie expressed. "We actually started dating Mother's Day of this year and recently finally came out and said something." I started off "our friendship throughout our childhood up until adulthood has always been platonic and we never did anything, never kissed, talked about it or anything" I admitted. "When I finally came back we were cool still best friends. he had his relationships and I had mine." I added.

"earlier this year he had something going on and as a best friend I wanted to help because I don't believe someone should go through things that are heavy alone" I said as they nodded.

"We were talking one day and he expressed to me how much he hated that I left to go away to college" I said. "Why did he hate it?" Adrienne asked. "Because when Michael says he's a warm guy he really means it and at the time before I made the decision to leave to Atlanta he kept wanting for us to get a place together and he'll take care of me. I didn't want any of that because I wanted to do things on my own and we are best friends so I didn't think too much about him possibly feeling some type of way about me" I admitted.

"he told me that he felt as if I left him and he never gotten the chance to tell me how he felt. He felt I was too caught up in going away that he didn't feel like his feelings really mattered in the situation and that what I truly wanted was to go away. So he didn't say anything" I added. "Wait so he originally wanted to take care of both you two when you two were out of high school?" Adrienne questioned as I nodded. "That's sweet" Jeannie said. "Yeah but I didn't know, I felt he was just talking to talk and I wanted to go out and experience college" I admitted.

"So after he told me how he truly felt it just slowly turned into a relationship" I said as they smiled. "I love the fact you two are childhood best friends and together. I think that's what everyone loves about it." Loni said as everyone started to agree as I smiled. "So has the dynamic and relationship change between you two from best friends to lovers?" Tamera asked. "Yes and no. We talk like best friends, play around like we're still best friends but the intimacy is of course different" I admitted. "Now in all honesty" Jeannie asked "how does it feel to be with Michael B. Jordan?" She asked causing me to laugh as the audience screamed.

"The same way I felt about him before.  He's A nerd" I simply said making them laugh. "And I know he's going to see this" I added making the crowd laugh. "No but it doesn't feel like a big thing it just feels like it's us being us and I love it and I love him" I admitted smiling big.

"Michael you are just glowing" I heard sunny say as I just chuckled.

"What is the deal with you and Y/N. I think that's also what we want to talk about " Whoopi started off, getting straight to the point as the audience clapped and I smiled. "That's why he's glowing" Sara added as I just smiled harder. "I would too, she's a beautiful and educated black woman" Whoopi said as I agreed nodding my head. "She is" I admitted. "And she's a very kind person the way she went and defended those teenagers in that video that went viral the other night" joy brought up.

"I had actually got a chance to meet her at one of her mothers events and she's such a sweetheart so I see where you two are together" joy added as I agreed. "Yeah we're together, she's my girl friend" I assured as the audience begun to clap making me chuckle. "She was my best friend before anything so I love being around her and always been like that growing up so it's fun" I admitted. "So throughout your childhood were you two inseparable?" Whoopi asked as I nodded. "Most definitely. If you see her I'm somewhere near" I admitted as we all shared a small laugh.

"So how did this whole relationship even come about? I mean you two were best friends for so long debunking dating rumors  all these years and now" she started off as there was a picture of Y/N and I kissing each other from her birthday that popped up behind me as I chuckled. "I know" I agreed. "So earlier this year I went through depression like I was saying earlier with the whole Killmonger roll" I started off as they nodded.

"And I was in such a bad place, ignoring people, not really socializing that much and snapping on people. so Y/N caught wind of what was going on and she was not having it." I admitted hearing everyone at the table along with the audience laugh. "She came to my house and we honestly argued" I said making them laugh again. "About what?" Joy asked. "About different things and I brought up that I hated that she went away for so long to school because at the time I wanted to tell Y/N how I felt but she was so focused on leaving and going away to college I just thought maybe it was just hormones , It'll go away and just keep it to myself" I said.

"I went to therapy, after a while we talked about starting a possible relationship but I wanted to be in the right headspace for her so we waited and in May we made it official" I admitted with a smile. "When did you notice that it was no longer just best friend, puppy love but that you actually love her on that level?" Whoopi asked. "In the midst of our argument I would never forget she said "Michael whatever you need to get you out of this funk I will help you with. If you need to get out of your house you can stay at mine, if you need me to pray with you I will." I always loved her but That moment was when I knew for a fact that I needed to be with her" I started off.

"She seen you and was there for you when You were at your lowest"  Sara said as I nodded my head and the audience clapped. "In todays world you don't hear that too often And I will forever thank her for that and for just being the best friend she is. Even when away at college she still supported me and was a listening ear for anything and that's not someone you can just find everyday" I admitted as the audience clapped once again.

"This was after you and Lori broke it off?" Whoopi asked as I nodded. "The day I started therapy we broke up. It was a moment I needed for myself and other things so we broke it off" I admitted as they smiled. "Well congratulations. I think you two are a gorgeous couple and I wish nothing but the best for you two" Whoopi said as they all agreed and I smiled hearing the audience clap. They then dismissed to commercial as my segment was over and I got up from my seat thanking the women and heading back stage.

The backstage crew took the mics off of me as I grabbed my things from my manager. I was getting ready to call Y/N but seen an incoming FaceTime call from her. I answered as she immediately came on the phone excited. "Tell me why we're trending over a joke" she brought up as I chuckled. "What happened?" I asked being directed to my SUV by security.

"You know how my mother and will went onto Ellen today?" I asked "so everybody just booked and busy huh?" I asked as she  giggled. "But Ellen said we were expecting as a joke and now we're trending" she said pinching the bridge of her nose as I laughed.

"It's about to be a long day" I started off "What you about to go do?" I asked getting into the SUV. "Well you know my mother got that photoshoot so that" she said. "Im surprised you ain't about to get food" I brought up. "We in Chick-Fil- A line now" she said flipping her camera as I laughed. "What you about to do?" She asked. "About to go back to my hotel and sleep" I admitted as she nodded her head. "I wish I could go to sleep but this money won't make itself" she said before she started ordering her food and I smiled at her.

She then finished and looked down at me "what you doing tomorrow?" I asked. "I'm going wine tasting with my mother for her wedding" she informed. "Okay what are you doing tomorrow night?" I asked. "Sleeping" she informed. "You know tomorrows date night right?" I asked. "Mike you're all the way in New York working We can go out when you come back" she explained as I chuckled.

"So I have reservations at the spot tomorrow night with someone and they want to meet you" I started off as she laughed. "So now I have to find a flight-" she started off. "Did I say that?" I questioned smartly. "Don't get smacked" she warned. "Let me finish then" I said playfully rolling my eyes. "If you'd shut up and let him speak" I heard Laila say. "Laila you better shut the hell up" Y/N warned. "Bitch" Laila said as I just chuckled. "Your daddy hoe" Y/N shot back as I burst out laughing. "Bro you two are siblings" I brought up.

"This what we're supposed to do" I heard Laila say "anyway" Y/N said. "Who wants to see me?" She asked "It's a surprise but I'll send you your flight information" I assured. "Not he your sugar daddy and you getting flawed out " Laila joked making Y/N and I Laugh.
