Bryan's Pov
"Hi Mr. Rivera." I said.
"Mr. Arceta come in please." Mr. Rivera said.
I'm in the rivera residence, pinapasok ako ni mr. Rivera.
"I'll get to the point mr. Rivera." I said.
"Sure. Is it about the new collab project of our company?" Mr. Rivera asked.
"Don't worry about that, it's progressing well. I'm here to give your son, angelo troy rivera a restraining order." I said.
"Gelo? What did he do this time?" Mr. Rivera asked.
"He barged in mikha lim's restaurant last night, being persistent of taking aiah and punching mikha in the face. What's worst is he was drunk." I said.
Binigay ko sa kanya ang folder na naglalaman ng restraining order ni gelo.
"I'm really sorry about gelo's attitude. I'll give this to him later and i'll make sure he will never get close to aiah again." Mr. Rivera said.
"That order is not only about aiah's safety but also mikha lim. Your son is also obsessed in his pride of being a chef, he's jealous of mikha's popularity." I said.
"I don't know what i did wrong to make him be like that. Don't worry bryan, i'll handle my son." Mr. Rivera said.
"Thank you mr. Rivera, i'll leave now. I'll see you in our meeting next week." I said.
I left the rivera residence then went to the firm office. I see maki and chie in the hallway. Maki is a freelance attorney while chie is my secretary and maki's fiancee. I tried hiring him in my firm but he just wants to be a freelance.
"Hi maki, binibisita mo si chie?" I asked.
"Hello bryan, i want to talk to you about a case." Maki said.
"Sure, come in my office." I said.
We went inside my office.
"What case?" I asked.
"The case that aiah is handling right now. Bryan give the case to another lawyer, this time it's really a dangerous one." Maki said.
"Aiah's already started analyzing the case." I said.
"They are a big drug dealer organization and they are known even outside of philippines." Maki said.
"Maki you know my sister, she never backs down from a case." I said.
"Then let me help, hire me for this case." Maki said.
"Why are you persistent in this case?" I asked.
"Because the leader of that organization killed my father, i'm not doing this for revenge but it's for the victims of that organization." Maki said.
"Okay okay, you can tell aiah that you're assisting her in this case. I'm also worried about my sister." I said.
"Your sister is a great lawyer. Himala wala pa siya sa office niya." Maki said.
"Maybe she's still at mikha's condo." I said.
"Mikha? As in mikhaela lim? The one who has a crush in aiah since high school?" Maki asked.
Maki is a senior of mikha and aiah during high school.
"Yes, nag-uusap na sila simula homecoming and some unexpected things happened like gelo and aiah breaking up. Mikha protected my sister twice, like last night gelo being drunk barged in mikha's restaurant when we ate dinner there." I said.
"Arrogant talaga, i heard he called himself the greatest chef." Maki said.
"He punched mikha last night, aiah was persistent in taking care of mikha." I said.
"No wonder she's in mikha's condo. Well, fate has finally given mikha a chance this time. I noticed you seem to approved of her feelings to your sister." Maki said.
"Before i thought her feelings for aiah will disappear after graduating from high school but now the way i saw her with my sister, i'm happy there's someone who can protect aiah even if that person is a girl." I said.
"Well, let's see what fate has planned for them." Maki said.
"You're correct. So maki, assist my sister and coordinate with detective ricalde's team." I said.
Maki nd i shaked hands before he left my office. Fate really happens unexpectedly.
Mikha's Pov
I woke up feeling the sunlight of the sun from my window. Bumangon ako at dahan-dahan pumunta sa kusina.
"Good morning mikha." Aiah said.
"Good morning aiah." I said.
I stopped walking. Nasa sala siya nakaupo habang nagkakape, suot niya damit ko.
"Aiah? Ano ginagawa mo dito?" I asked.
"Looks like the punch from gelo made you forget i'm here since last night." Aiah said.
"Magluluto lang ako." I said.
"No need mikhs, nag order na ako. Have coffee first, i'll just take a bath. I'll borrow your clothes again." Aiah said.
"S-Sure." I said.
Aiah smiled then went to my room. What just happened? I tried recalling what happened last night. First, i was punched by gelo. Second, aiah came home with me here in my condo because she wants to take care of me. Third is that i accidentally confessed that i like her since high school.
FLASHBACK
"I know you and gelo just broken up and i don't want to rush you asking for your answer. I'm just taking this chance to finally say that i really like you aiah." I said.
"So you're willing to wait for my answer?" Aiah asked.
"Yes, i am." I said.
She smiled at me.
"Thanks mikhs." Aiah said.
"For what?" I asked.
"Secret." Aiah said.

So nag confess talaga ako kagabi, i'm surprised at myself that i didn't faint. After a few minutes, our food arrived, it's bacon egg cheese sandwich, two piece pancakes and two piece burger steak. Tag-dadalawang order. Nilagay ko na sa table sa sala mga order ni aiah then i opened the tv habang hinihintay siya. In the news, binabalita na si aiah at team ni maloi ay nakatoka sa isang big case.
"What are you watching?" Aiah asked.
"You and maloi are on the news." I said.
"Okay let's eat." Aiah said.
"Malapit na mag-11?" I asked.
"Yes, himbing ng tulog mo." Aiah said.
No wonder she ordered so many foods, we woke up late.
"Tumawag si stacey sa phone mo kanina. Mag-rest day kana daw muna at sila na bahala sa restaurant." Aiah said.
"Uh okay, what about your work at the firm?" I asked.
"Maya-maya pupunta na din ako sa firm, mikha relax and eat your food." Aiah said, smiling at me.
I nod at aiah then started eating. After an hour, she's preparing to go to the firm. Naglakas loob ako na sabihin ihahatid ko siya. Nasa labas na kami ng office nila.
"By the way, don't forget to place the ice bag again on your cheek kasi medyo namamaga pa. Punta ako sa condo mo after ng work." Aiah said.
"You don't need to do that aiah, you have a big case. Okay lang ako sa condo, ayaw ko maka-istorbo sa time mo." I said.
"I can make time to go mikhs, thank you sa paghatid." Aiah said.
She went inside the building while i went back to my condo. I did what she told me, i got the ice bag on my cheek again while i watch gl series. After a few hours, the doorbell rang. I opened the door, revealing my two bestfriends. Si jho and colet, naka-kunot agad kilay ni colet.
"What the heck happened to you?" Colet asked.
"Nakalimutan ko pala sabihin kay colet." Jho said.
"Colet wag oa." I said.
They came inside my condo. Halata kay colet na naghihintay ng sagot ko sa tanong niya.
"First of all, hindi ako nakipag-away and i got this when gelo punched me last night." I said.
"Why would he punched you?" Colet asked.
"Jho ikaw na mag-explain." I said.
"Well, nag dinner kami ni mom kasama si kuya bryan at aiah sa restaurant ni mikha. Bigla naman dumating si gelo na lasing. Sinuntok niya si mikha nung nainis na siya." Jho said.
"Aba lakas ng loob niya ah, jho tara bugbugin din natin." Colet said.
"Wala kayong gagawin colet, hayaan niyo na siya. Remember both of you are detectives." I said.
"Big jerk talaga, since high school he was always thinking of his pride even if he was not really the best." Jho said.
"Teka big question, what's with you and aiah?" Colet asked.
"Huh?" I said.
"Wag mo kami hina-huh mikha lim, spill the story." Colet said.
"It's kinda a bit long story." I said.
"Makikinig kami." Jho said.
I told them what happened since homecoming and until last night except the confession part. Nakikinig talaga silang dalawa.
"And that's all of it." I said.
"Wow mikhs. Who would have thought that you could be brave in that kind of situation? Very impressive." Colet said.
"Unexpectedly naman you got slapped and punched on the face, you know there's a word fight back." Jho said.
"I fought back with words and i don't want to make trouble. Kilala niyo ako hindi nakikipag-away." I said.
"Mikhs ramdam ko na there's still something you didn't tell us." Colet said.
"I-I already told you guys everything." I said, smiling at the two of them.
"Nautal ka at weird ang smile mo mikhs." Jho said.
"Sabihin nalang natin na aksidente ako nag-confess ng feelings kagabi habang inaalagaan niya ako." I said.
Ayun na kinilig agad silang dalawa, kinurot pa ni jho braso ko.
"Yieee mikhaela janna jimenea lim!" Colet said.
"All this time dumadamoves kana pala sa pinsan ko. Kaya siguro sobrang tahimik mo sa gc." Jho said.
Sabay ko sinuntok ng mahina braso ni colet at jho.
"What was that for?" Colet asked.
"Sa pag-asar sakin nung iniwan niyo kami ni aiah sa restaurant ko." I said.
"The goodluck did work." Colet said while smiling.
"Ano reaksyon ni aiah?" Jho asked.
"Kalmado siya, mag-sabi lang daw ako ng gusto ko sabihin." I said.
"Huh?" Jho and colet said at the same time.
"Confusing right? Unexpected reaction of her and she told me to just talk while she holds the ice bag." I said.
"May sinabi ba siya after ka nag-sabi nag-salita?" Jho asked.
I told them that aiah said i was not making her uncomfortable.
"I told her that i'm not rushing her to answer my confession and that i'm just taking the chance to finally say i really like her." I said.
I looked at the two of them, sobrang kinikilig na sila. Bigla nila ako niyakap.
"Hey what's the hug for?" I asked.
"Proud na proud kami sayo mikhs." Colet said.
"Our mikha has grown up." Jho said.
"Sabihin nalang natin na malakas pagka-torpe mo during high school but it made you changed to a mikha who now knows how to take the risk." Colet said.
"Thanks for the support guys." I said.
"So mikhs ano na gagawin mo na alam niya na gusto mo siya?" Colet asked.
"I'll just be myself, no change. Just being who i am." I said.
"Tama." Jho said.
"I have a slight problem. Hindi alam ng parent's ko lalo na si maloi na nasaktan ako ni gelo. Baka mag-active anger ng kapatid ko." I said.
"Wag ka mag-alala kay maloi, she's gonna be busy with the new case. It's a big case, the accused is a drug lord." Jho said.
"Drug lord? Ibig sabihin delikado at doble ingat team niyo pati si aiah na attorney." I said.
"Well, we just had a team meeting earlier with aiah." Colet said.
The doorbell rang. I went to open the door, it's maloi and aiah. I hid the ice bag behind me pero napansin agad ni maloi.
"I saw that mikhaela janna jimenea lim." Maloi said.
"Hi maloi, aiah." I said while smiling.
"That's an ice bag." Maloi said.
"Hi captain maloi, aiah." Jho and colet said.
Pumasok si maloi at aiah sa condo ko. Aiah whispered to me that maloi insisted in coming with her here.
"Explain now." Maloi said.
"It's a bruise from the kitchen." I said.
"You're lying lim." Maloi said.
Aiah, jho and colet gave me a look to tell the truth. Looks like i have no escape this time.
