Colet's Pov
"Great work everyone, anyone up for xylo night? My treat." Chief Lauren said.
"Talaga chief treat mo?" Jho asked.
"Oo naman." Chief Lauren said.
It's friday night. Sometimes chief lauren or maloi treats us dinner or drink night. Sometimes every friday night ay parang tradition ng team with chief lauren, relaxing bonding na din.
"Hindi po ako sasama. I'll go home chief." I said.
"Himala nagbaback out si colet ng beer night." Justin said.
"I just want to rest early tonight. Treat ko nalang next time." I said.
They went to the bar xylo while i went home to my condo. I ordered food first then changed my clothes. My phone vibrated, nag-message si jho. Tinatanong niya kung okay lang ba ako.
Chat Conversation:
Me: Jho i'm okay.
Jho: You want some snacks? I can drop by after we're finish here.
Me: Nag-order na ako ng food. Just have fun with the others. Paki-bantayan na din si maloi.
Jho: Concern kay maloi pero wala ka naman dito.
Me: Treat kita breakfast bukas.
Jho: Yes boss babantayan ko siya.
Me: Bilis mag-yes pagdating sa libre talaga.
Jho: Syempre, libre mo eh.
I placed my phone on the table then i took out five cans of beer from the refrigerator. I just made the excuse that i'm tired but here i am going to drink by myself. After a few minutes, the food arrived. Trip ko uminom sa balcony habang tinitignan mga stars.
"Maloi is like a star, i can see her but i can't reach her." I said.
I already drank three beers when the doorbell rang. Binuksan ko yung pinto. Revealing the person i didn't expect to see. It's maloi, wait it's impossible especially i might already be drunk from the three beers.
"Ouch." I said.
She pinched my shoulder. Akala ko sumama siya kila jho. Tinignan ko phone ko, nag-chat si jho na umalis si maloi. Seryoso nasa harapan ko talaga siya.
"Umiinom ka, i thought you were resting." Maloi said.
She's outside the door but she still saw the can of beers on the table at the balcony. Lakas talaga ng mata niya.
"I was about to rest." I said.
She went inside my condo. She's been here before during college when i got sick and mikha asked her to take care of me. Nagulat din ako noon na naging mag-stepsisters na sila. Muntik na ako mag-selos na baka type ni maloi si mikha noon. We're now at the balcony and she's looking at me with a stern look. Can a black hole just pull me right now?
"Lately ang tahimik mo." Maloi said.
"Nagfofocus lang talaga ako sa work." I said.
"Liar, tatlong can ng beer na nainom mo nicolette. Kilalang-kilala kita." Maloi said.
Lagot nicolette na tawag sakin. Nung college ang magkakasama ay ako, jho, maloi at kaori.
FLASHBACK
"When will you confess to her?" Jho asked.
"Jho get back to your table." I said.
Currently, nasa laboratory room kami. We're doing a paraffin test. Naka-ready na ang pot na may natunaw na wax.
"Have you heard the news? May nagbigay ng rose bouquet kay maloi." Kaori said.
Sabay nila ako tinignan, they know i like maloi since high school.
"Hindi ako." I said.
"Then baka siya." Kaori said.
"Sino?" Jho asked.
"Justin de dios." Kaori said.
Bigla ko nahawakan yung pot. Napaso kamay ko sa sobrang init.
"Colet." Jho said.
"I'm okay, namanhid lang kamay ko." I said.
"Ano nangyare?" Maloi asked.
Lumapit si maloi samin, galing siya sa table niya.
"Nahawakan niya yung pot, mainit-init pa." Jho said.
"Be careful colet, focus kasi." Maloi said.
"Punta lang ako restroom." I said.
I left the room before they can say anything. I'm in the restroom. I washed my hands then looked at myself on the mirror. Justin de dios, he's the guy that likes maloi but she hasn't let him court her yet.
"Colet." Maloi said.
"Ano ginagawa mo dito?" I asked.
"Sinisigurado ko lang na okay kamay mo." Maloi said.
"Wag ka mag-alala sakin. Baka pagod ko lang sa puyat ito, kaka-review kaya nalutang kanina. Balik na tayo sa room." I said while smiling.
I pinched her nose then ran back to class. I know she's calling my name, i just laughed at her.
END OF FLASHBACK
Nung college lang kami talaga naging close kasi magkaiba kami ng section ng high school. She may be the captain of the team but she will always be mary loi yves ricalde, ang tao na minamahal ko ng patago.
"Nicolette three cans talaga agad? Iba ka uminom, alcohol tolerance mo." Maloi said.
May strong aura yan sa work pero pagdating sa family and friends niya ay maaasahan mo siya na aalagaan ka niya.
"I know, atleast nandito ako sa condo." I said.
"Pero nasa balcony ka, what if aksidente ka mahulog." Maloi said.
"Then you can catch me. Ouch naman maloi." I said.
She pinched my shoulder again. She may be small but her pinching hurts.
"Hindi nakakatuwa joke mo." Maloi said.
"It's not a joke, i already fallen." I said.
Did i just say that? The alcohol might be kicking in my mind. Quick nicolette think of another word to say.
"Ano ibig mo sabihin?" Maloi asked.
"I'll just put back the beers." I said.
She cornered me near the balcony door, she's still has her stern look but her eyes is looking at me differently.
"Nicolette vergara answer me." Maloi said.
"Maloi i'm drunk." I said.
"Only when a drunk person can quickly say what's on their mind and you're that kind of person right now." Maloi said.
"I like you, i love you mary loi yves ricalde. Okay nasabi ko na." I said.
I placed my hand on the back of my neck, trying not to look at her. I'm regretting na uminom ako.
"If you really mean that then look at me." Maloi said.
"Huh?" I said.
"Look at me colet." Maloi said.
Hinawakan ni maloi pisngi ko then she kissed me. My hand acted on it's own, it's already on her waist while i'm starting to respond to her kiss. I pulled her closer to me. Her lips taste like cherry and the soft texture. We stopped kissing after a few seconds.
"Maloi para saan yun?" I asked.
"My answer to what you said." Maloi said.
"You like me too?" I asked.
"Same ba kayo na slow ng mikha? Yes, i like you too and i love you too." Sun said.
"Akala ko nililigawan ka ni justin." I said.
"Justin? Paano niya ako liligawan eh palagi siya busted sakin." Maloi said.
Natahimik ako.
"Any more question vergara?" Maloi asked.
"No question captain ricalde. Ouch." I said.
She really likes pinching me.
"Wala ako question pero nakurot pa din." I said.
"You're mine already and i want you only to myself." Maloi said.
I smiled at how possessive she is. We just confessed to each other but i like how she want me to herself only.
"Yes po, i am yours only." I said.
"Good, mag-shower kana at ako na mag-aayos dito." Maloi said.
Maloi's Pov
I finished cleaning up colet's balcony. If hindi ako pumunta dito eh di nainom niya lahat ng beer. Mababa alcohol tolerance niya pero ang lakas niya naman uminom.
I made her matcha tea, she still gonna have hangover kahit mag-shower siya. Lumabas na siya ng kwarto.
"Drink this tea." I said.
She went close to me and hugged me from behind.
"Someone's getting clingy." I said.
"Hindi ito panaginip?" Colet said.
I turned around while her hands are still on my waist.
"You're not dreaming, i'm here in front of you and girlfriend mo na ako." I said while smiling.
"I-double check ko lang." Colet said.
She was about to kiss my lips but i cover my mouth with my hand.
"No kiss for you tonight." I said.
"Kiniss mo ako kanina." Colet said.
"That's just my reward for your confessing." I said.
"Bakit bawal kiss?" Colet asked while pouting.
"Punishment mo na uminom ka ng mag-isa." I said.
"Sorry uyab." Colet said.
"Huh?" I asked.
"I said uyab, bisaya word for lover." Colet said.
"I love it uyab." I said.
"Am i forgiven for drinking?" Colet said while smiling.
"Pasimple na naman yan smile mo eh." I said.
"Forgive me na po uyab." Colet said.
She pressed her forehead to my forehead. Her eyes, looking at me with love. I slip my arms to lock on the nape of her neck. I gave her a quick kiss on the lips.
"I forgive you pero inumin mo na muna tea mo." I said.
She drank the tea then we went to her bedroom. I snuggled to her.
"Last time na nandito ka was during the time you took care of me when i was sick." Colet said.
"Tagal na nun." I said.
"Dun ko na-realized na na-fafall na ako sayo. I tried stopping it but everytime i'm with you, it get's worst. Lalo na pag kausap ka ni justin." Colet said.
"Bakit hindi ka umamin dati?" I asked.
"Kasi ayaw ko masira friendship natin, bestfriend ko din stepsister mo and i'm a girl, not a boy." Colet said.
"Gusto mo malaman kailan ako na-fall sayo?" I said.
"Kailan?" Colet asked.
"During the first day of class in college." I said.
FLASHBACK
"Where's jho? Gutom na ako." I said.
"Maybe she went to see her friend." Kaori said.
"Punta lang ako sa locker ko, I forgot my bracelet." I said.
I went to my locker at the hallway, kinuha bracelet ko. I turned around then bumped into someone, a girl. I was about to say sorry to the girl but she quickly disappeared. Familiar ang face niya.
"Where is that girl?" I said.
I looked around again. I received a chat message from kaori that the both of them are already at the canteen. Pumunta ako sa canteen.
"Where's my food?" I asked.
"My bestfriend is bringing it." Jho said.
I sat opposite of jho and kaori, i look at my wrist.
"My bracelet, it's missing." I said.
"Baka nakalimutan mo kunin sa locker mo." Kaori said.
"Sure ako na kinuha ko eh." I said.
"Jho here's the other tray of food."
I looked behind us, it's the girl i bumped into. She placed the two trays of food on the table and sat beside me.
"Guys meet my bestfriend, maria nicolette vergara. Colet for short." Jho said.
"Buong name talaga jho?" Colet said.
"Kaloka ikaw lang pala colet." Kaori said.
Nicolette vergara? Oh i remembered, ka-batch namin nung high school at classmate ni jho at kaori.
"You're the girl." I said.
"This must be yours." Colet said while smiling.
She took out something from her pocket, it's my bracelet. She placed my bracelet beside the tray. Her smile, maloi ricalde focus.
"Thank you colet. Wait, you are the top one student in the entrance exam." I said.
"Huh?" Jho and kaori said.
"Yes, that's me." Colet said.
"Nicolette vergara top one?" Kaori asked.
"Teka bakit hindi mo sinabi samin?" Jho asked.
"Hindi kayo nagtatanong eh, treat ko nalang kayo after class." Colet said.
She's still smiling. I think i'm melting.
"Uhm let's eat. I'm hungry." I said.

"Really that time?" Colet asked.
"That time your smile already captivates my heart." I said.
"So all this time napa-fall na kita dahil sa smile ko." Colet said.
I intertwined our fingers. She kissed my forehead.
"All of the actions i've been showing is not only as bestfriend. It was my true feelings." I said.
"This time i won't hold back in taking care of you, not just as a part of your team but also as your girlfriend." Colet said.
"We'll take care of each other." I said.
"I love you mary loi yves ricalde." Colet said.
"I love you too maria nicolette vergara." I said.
