Mikha's Pov
"Mikhaela lim why can't you still pick?" Gwen asked.
A week passed by, tonight is the party for aiah's parent's wedding anniversary. Gwen and colet are in my house and they are already dress up for the party except me who still can't choose what to wear. Jho is already in the venue.
"I really don't know what to wear." I said.
"Just wear a suit mikhs, it's just a party." Colet said.
"It's the wedding anniversary party of aiah's parent's." I said.
"A suit will do. Ako na nga pipili para sayo." Colet said.
Gwen went downstairs while colet picked my suit.
"Oh ayan mikhs bagay kahit ano sayo." Colet said.
Pagkatapos ko nagbihis, bumaba na din kami agad ni colet. Mom and gwen are waiting in the living room.
"Thanks colet, you always saves the day at times like this." Mom said.
"Your welcome tita, itong anak mo slow in choosing clothes in events like this." Colet said.
"Mom do you know where i place the gift for aiah's parents?" I asked.
"She's even forgetful at times like this." Gwen said.
"Nasa table, kitang-kita namin. My daughter has grown up but she still needs help." Mom said.
"Thanks mom, you know that i always need help from you." I said.
"Gwen and colet thanks for always being patient to my daughter." Mom said.
"Mom." I said.
"Okay the three of you should go now and have fun." Mom said.
We left the house using two cars. One is mine and the second is gwen's car, sakin sumabay si colet. After a few minutes we arrived at the venue which is a mansion. Tita maileen and tito bernard bought the mansion last month, the renovation just finished last week. Also aiah just moved here last week with kuya bryan, jho and tita cathy.
"Mikhs your face is already telling us you're nervous." Gwen said.
" Relax." Colet said.
"Bakit ka kinakabahan?" Gwen asked.
"I don't know." I said.
"It's not like you're gonna already propose to marry her. You're only doing a proper proposal asking her be your girlfriend." Colet said.
I told them how aiah and i became a couple that night by the pool. They were so thrilled and they teased me a bit about my first kiss. I'm planning to ask her in front of her parents because i want to do a proper proposal.
"Just stay calm, enjoy the night mikhs." Gwen said.
"I'm sorry, i'll calm down." I said.
"Good, because your girlfriend is already waiting for you inside. Jho is with her, tara na." Gwen said.
We went inside the mansion. There were already many guest. I think either they are relatives or business partners. Kuya bryan saw us, we greeted him.
"Guys welcome, glad you're here." Bryan said.
"I brought a gift kuya." I said.
"Thanks mikha, how about you give the gift personally to mom? Nasa taas sila." Bryan said.
Colet pats my shoulder, i nod at them and smiled. I went upstairs. I knocked first then opened the door. I see aiah talking with jho and tita maileen. Tinitignan lang din sila ni tito bernard.
"My daughter is so beautiful." Tito Bernard said.
"So beautiful po." I said.
I greeted tito bernard then aiah noticed me, lumapit siya sakin.
"Babi ang tagal mo." Aiah said.
"It took too long for me to pick what to wear." I said while smiling.
"Ikaw talaga, hula ko tinulungan ka ni colet." Aiah said, smiling back at me.
I greeted tita maileen then gave her my gift for them.
"Thanks for the gift mikha." Tita Maileen said.
"Your welcome po." I said.
"Hindi mapakali si aiah, hinihintay ka." Tita Maileen said.
"Mom." Aiah said.
"Your mom is telling the truth maraiah." Tito Bernard said while laughing a bit.
"Dad not you too." Aiah said.
I smiled looking at aiah being tease by her parent's. I remembered four days ago when we pick them up at the airport because kuya bryan is busy at work.
FLASHBACK
"Babi nakita mo na ba sila mom?" Aiah asked.
"There po." I said.
I pointed the direction of her parent's. We went close to them. Aiah hug them first then i greeted them then we went to their new house, a mansion.
"Good to see you again mikha." Tito Bernard said.
"Good to see you too dad." I said.
"Mikha stay for dinner." Tita Maileen said.
"Sure po." I said.
"Wait, i'm the daughter here." Aiah said.
"And mikha's your girlfriend." Tito Bernard said while smiling.
I controlled myself from blushing when tito bernard said the word girlfriend. Aiah help her mom in the kitchen while tito bernard and i are in the backyard.
"So, how did you propose to aiah?" Tito Bernard asked.
"Well, dad i wanna talk to you about proposing. I wanna ask your daughter properly." I said.
Why does this situation feels familiar? Oh right, it's like when i asked permission from them in canada.
"Properly?" Tito Bernard asked.
"I didn't pop the question but she said that she's mine already and i captured her heart when we're talking by the pool." I said.
Tito bernard laughed a bit and smiled.
"That's unusual of her." Tito Bernard said.
"I wanna ask aiah in the party and in front of you and tita." I said.
"Mikha you really know how to do surprises." Tito Bernard said.
"I'm also surprise at myself too." I said.
"Then i'll keep it a secret, even from my wife so aiah would not get suspicious." Tito Bernard said.
"Agreed po especially aiah's sensing skills as an attorney is strong." I said.
Tito Bernard and i laughed a bit. I heard footsteps behind us.
"What are you talking about?" Aiah asked.
"Nothing dear, just business stuff. Tara na sa loob." Tito Bernard said.
END OF FLASHBACK
We went downstairs and more guest has already arrived. I went to the others while aiah, kuya bryan and their parent's accommodate the guests.
"I didn't expect that there would be this many guests." I said.
"Don't tell me you're backing up mikha lim." Aki said.
Aki and JL are also here.
"Of course not. It's just i forgot how famous aiah's family." I said.
"You're forgetful at times like this." JL said.
"I also said that earlier when she forgot where she placed the gift for aiah's parents." Gwen said.
"What's your plan again mikhs?" Aki asked.
"After aiah sings, i'll sing a song before asking the question to her." I said.
"One question, how did you practiced singing for tonight and not make it look suspicious around aiah?" JL asked.
"Well, it's kinda hard since sometimes she sleeps at my condo or my house." I said.
"This is new to me seeing mikha being prepared to surprise aiah." Aki said.
Aki and JL are continuously complimenting and teasing me. The two of them are quite talkative since high school.
"Guys stop teasing mikha." Jho said.
"Says the person who tease her with us." Colet said.
"Atleast we distracted her from being nervous." Aki said.
We talked about different topics. Then we heard three guys talking about becky. Looks like sons of business partners.
"Have you heard that aiah arceta is single?" Guy 1 said.
"Really? Since when?" Guy 2 asked.
"I don't know. I also heard that angelo cheated, he surely did waste his chance with aiah." Guy 1 said.
"Maybe i should try courting aiah." Guy 3 said.
"As if you could do that bro." Guy 2 said.
"How about a bet? I would be the next lucky guy to date aiah." Guy 3 said.
The three guys went to another table. I feel something inside me wanna burst out.
"Guys, mikha's hand." Stacey said.
Gwen took the champagne glass from my hand.
"Mikha when i said calm down tonight, it means don't mind what you might hear especially your girlfriend is maraiah queen arceta." Gwen said.
"Those guys are talking about my girlfriend." I said.
"People still doesn't know that she's already your girlfriend." Jho said.
"So calm down, take this chance tonight to let them know that aiah's already yours." Colet said.
"This is a new feeling for me." I said.
"We know, just focus your mind for later." Gwen said.
They smiled at me. After a few minutes, kuya bryan announced that aiah is going to sing for their parent's.
"That's your cue mikhs." Colet said.
"You can do it." Aki said.
Aki and i did a fist bump then i smiled at our friends. Aiah started to sing while we're currently seated near her. The spotlight is pointed at her while the lights around her are low light.
"She always has a great voice." Sheena said.
"If she wasn't an attorney, i'm sure she would be a idol." I said.
I slowly focused on remembering the lyrics of the song that i'm gonna sing. Which is titled the reason of my smiles by BSS seventeen. When i heard that aiah's song is about to end, i took a deep breath. I'm holding a microphone, this is it mikha lim.
The song started to play, i see aiah is a bit confused and shocked. I recorded the song two days ago when she was busy preparing the party. When it's near my cue to sing, i stood up and a different spotlight points at me while i started to sing.

When i sang the last line, i'm already in front of aiah.
"My heart is full of love and admiration for the amazing person that you are. Each time I see you, I find myself smiling for no reason, and that's how I know I'm in love." I said while smiling.
I feel everyone's eyes on us. Come on mikha you can do this.
"I'll never stop being there for you because i want to stay by your side. I'm not really good with words but all i know is i want to be that someone better for you until the end. I have only one question for you right now, maraiah queen arceta will you be my girlfriend?" I said.
She's smiling at me, gosh her smile.
"Of course, i will." Aiah said.
Aiah hug me and i hug her back. Our friends are the first one i heard cheering while the other guests clapped for us.
"You always like to surprise me. I'm already yours." Aiah said.
"I wanna ask my girlfriend properly." I said.
"Thank you babi, i love you." Aiah said.
"I love you too babi." I said.
After that, aiah and i went to her parent's first.
"I think mikha has given us two gifts tonight." Tita Maileen said.
"We're so happy for the both of you." Tito Bernard said.
"Thanks mom and dad." I said.
"Even my husband didn't tell me that mikha will do that." Tita Maileen said.
"Because you know our daughter might noticed." Tito Bernard said.
"Thanks for the support mom, dad." Aiah said.
She hugged her parent's then we went to our friends. As usual they are teasing me.
"Wow korean english song mikhs ah." Sheena said.
"Mikha surely never stop surprising us." Stacey said.
"That's my girl." Aiah said while smiling.
Deep inside i'm blushing a bit by aiah saying i'm her girl. I hold her hand while smiling back.
"Deep inside kinikilig ka noh?" Aiah said.
"Of course, my girlfriend is the only person who has that effect on me." I said.
"Flattering words chef lim." Aiah said.
"Excuse me guys, mikha i'll just take my sister for a bit." Bryan said.
"Sure kuya." I said.
"I'll be back babi." Aiah said.
She kissed me on the cheek then left with kuya bryan. I felt the eyes of our friends at me.
"I'll treat you all next week at my restaurant as a celebration." I said.
"Alright." They all said at me.
