After their victory, they all spent their final night watching X-Men movies and just enjoyed each other's company. It was filled with joy and laughter, the best way to end their stay there.
The next day, their summer as Google interns had ended. Many interns were stood outside, saying their goodbyes. All of Team Lyle was together, passing around their phones so that they could add each other as contacts. It was a little hard to do with Billy's flip phone, but they managed.
After that, they all just stood around, saying their goodbyes. Yo-Yo's mother got out to tell him to come on, but the boy quickly snapped at her. "I'm saying goodbye to my friends, Mom!" All of the team members turned to look at him in surprise. Even his dad slowly did so before smiling. You would notice that he and Yo-Yo were missing the same eyebrow.
"Way to go, Yo-Yo!", Mary Jane cheered, patting him on the back.
After a moment, they all shared a tender embrace before heading to the bus. They were sad to be leaving each other, but it had to be done. They took solace in the fact that they would all see each other again when they finished school.
Stuart caught Mary Jane's wrist as she began to walk away. The redhead had been watching Nick and Dana with a smile, so it caught her off guard. She opened her mouth to speak, but Stuart beat her to it. "There's something I need to say to you and I need to say it right now before I turn into a little chicken shit again, so be quiet and let me talk. No interruptions." Mary Jane looked up at him in surprise. She raised her palms innocently, but didn't say anything as he had asked. "Mary Jane Hiegler, I've really fallen for you. And it caught me off guard, because I have never had that feeling before. But the moment I watched that sunlight hit you just right when we were near the bridge, I knew right then and there that you would be the end of me. And I know you hate it when I compare you to that, but is so fitting that your name is the same one as a drug, because I fucked up and got addicted. You're it for me. And, I can't believe I'm about to say the dorkiest thing to ever be said, but... Mary Jane Hiegler, will you be my noogler?"
Tears sprang to Mary Jane's eyes, happy tears. She laughed, wiping them away. "Only if you'll be my Peter Parker", she whispered, standing on her tip toes to kiss him.
Neha, Nick, and Billy, who had been watching from the bus, cheered from the window, causing the two to laugh and pull apart.
"Stop ruining my moment, Neha!", Mary Jane shouted, causing the other girl to laugh.
"I can't help it, my ship is sailing! My ship is sailing!", Neha shouted, closing her window and leaning back to shout the words once more.
"Well, now that we're together, you definitely can't be a stranger", Mary Jane grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You've gotta call me sometimes."
"Screw that, I'm coming all the way to see you", Stuart promised, his hands on her hips. "There's nothing I wouldn't do for you."
"You better keep that promise, Twombly."
Stuart laughed, pulling her into a tight embrace. The two of them walked hand in hand to the bus, sitting next to each other. Mary Jane slept a bit, resting her head on his shoulder. It was the perfect end to one messy, yet perfect, summer.

but I changed my mind
and decided against it.
Welp, this was the last
