Skyler glanced at Jim half-heartedly and asked, “Does that have anything to do with me?”

Skyler’s cold reaction did not wear Jim’s passion away at all. He blew a loud whistle and said, “Did you know that Jocelyn is having a meal at Serene Court as well? Abel called her upstairs for a game of pool just now!”

Skyler had a calm expression on his face as he said, “Oh!”

Jim was speechless. “Hey, you should at least show some response. Both of you are married on paper.

Don’t act like you’re complete strangers!”

Skyler ate a mouthful of food calmly and said, “We’ll be getting a divorce in a year’s time. We’ve pretty much been strangers all along!”

Jim finally realized that Skyler was telling him the truth.

He frowned and stared at Skyler. “Skyler, are you telling me the truth?”

Skyler looked at him nonchalantly and asked, “What else do you think I’m telling you?”

Jim looked at him. His gaze flashed as he spoke up tentatively. “If you’re really not interested in her, can I pursue her after both of you get divorced?”

Skyler raised his head to look at Jim. There seemed to be an unpleasant expression on his face.

However, he was extremely calm. “Do you have intentions to pursue a woman that has been married to me?”

Chills crept up Jim’s back. Although Skyler did not yell at him, he could feel that he was not happy at him.

Initially, he intended to disregard Skyler and head to Jocelyn’s room to join in the fun.

However, he instantly removed this thought from his mind completely.

Right, he had been good friends with Skyler since they were young. Regardless of what Skyler thought of Jocelyn, how could he tell him that he wanted to pursue a woman that Skyler had been involved with?

He could not even joke about it!

He laughed drily upon thinking about this. “I was just joking. Both of you are married. Even if you don’t care about her, I won’t dare to pursue her either!”

Alter Jim finished speaking, Skyler did not even bother to cast a glance at him.

Meanwhile, in one of the large rooms in Serene Court, Jocelyn noticed Davis’s and Lexie’s worried gazes the moment she came downstairs.

She shook her head to gesture that she was alright. She then sat down beside Lexie As soon as Jocelyn sat down, a designer pushed a king crab dish over to her side. “Miss White, this king crab tastes pretty good. Taste it!”

The designer could tell that Jocelyn was pretty talented in designing. She had intentions to get to know her.

However, as soon as she finished speaking, Lexie frowned and pushed the plate to the side.

Lexie had a cold expression on her face. It seemed like she was unhappy. It was as if the designer had done it intentionally.

She blurted out, “Jocelyn can’t have seafood!”

Lexie knew that some people in the design department of Prosperity Jewelry did not like Jocelyn.

Naturally, she treated them in a hostile manner.

An awkward expression formed on the designer’s face. She did not expect this at all.

She laughed awkwardly and tried easing the situation. “Is she allergic to it?”

Lexie was just about to speak up when Jocelyn grabbed hold of her arm. She accepted designer’s friendly gesture. “Yes, I’m allergic to seafood! However, I’d still like to thank you for your kindness!”

Jocelyn spoke to her in a gentle and polite manner. A pleasant expression then appeared on the designer’s face.

Fiona, who was seated by the side, heard Jocelyn admitting about her seafood allergy. A glint flashed across her eyes as she kept that in mind.

It would be an extreme waste if she did not take advantage of such a weakness!

After the meal, everyone from the design department walked out of the room one after another.

Davis was paying the bill, Jocelyn and Lexie were waiting for him by the side.

Skyler and Jim had just walked out of their room, Jim then elbowed Skyler with a playful expression on his face. “Look at who’s that!”
