Aqua sat pretty far away from the lake, water was not her thing, despite her name. But she ached for a drink of water. She had a traumatic experience as a child that she refused to speak of.
Taurus idly stood in the water about chin deep, blowing bubbles with a bored look on his face. He interrupted Virgo's mako it session to ask something. "Is Aqua allowed in the water?" Virgo pulled away from Aries and answered. "As long as she doesn't swim in the water, she can stand in it but can't move her leg." Taurus thanked her and let her get back to her business.
"Wanna come in?" He asked Aquarius gently. Aqua shook her head and scooted another inch back. "Ok help me up." Taurus extended a hand. "I'm not falling for that." Aqua refused to help him. "Dang, you got me." He got up himself and came to sit next to her.
Taurus's wet skin glistened in the warm sun. He did not have a six pack but he had a flat and toned one. He propped himself up with his arms behind him. "You thirsty?" He asked not looking at Aqua.
She shook her head, she would not go near the water even if she would die from dehydration. "I know you are, you have that look on your face." The corner of his mouth lifted into a smile. "What look?" She mumbled. "The look where it looks like your concentrating too hard on something. It tells me your lying."
Aqua was surprised he knew so much about her. "So you are thirsty?" He asked again. Aqua nodded "im not going near the water." She pleaded. "Why? You scared of water to?" He teased. "I am afraid of water." She said bluntly. Taurus expected her to deny it but she gave him a serious look, she is actually afraid of water.
"I'm not going to pry but you need water." Taurus said in a concerned tone. "You get me water." Aqua said. "What am I? Your servent?" Taurus put his hands up. Aqua did feel bad asking him she also felt stupid, not being able to go near water.
"Fine, I will go." She stood up dusting her pants. "I forgot you were wearing my shirt, guess it suits you." Taurus laughed. Aquarius stood near the edge. A flashback hit her like a truck. The gray white fin approached her rapidly, closing in on her. It jumped out of the water, jaws opened and jagged teeth aimed for her neck. The strong hands of her father pulled her away and out of the ocean water.
Her arm was bleeding heavily as the teeth nicked her skin. She couldn't imagine what they could do to her face. Aqua came back to reality and whimpered like a puppy. She backed away slowly, limping. She knew that there was no shark in here but she didn't know what water could hide.
Taurus put a hand on the small of her back to stop her from backing away. "Please let me go." She begged. Taurus didn't look her in the eye and said "you need to get over this fear, like the other." He sweeped her legs from under her and picked her up bridal style.
She struggled, she was panting uncontrollably. The fear took over her. "No no no no." She repeated. The clawed at his bare chest, leaving red marks all over it. "I'm going to throw you in." He said bluntly. Aqua's eyes dialated. "NO!" She yelled in his face, she hated him right now. "Let me go you bastard!" She screamed.
Tears were leaking out of her eyes. The memory of the shark attack blinded her, she looked at the water below her and she could imagine the shark aiming for her, still hungry for her blood. "3.." Taurus began to swing her over the water and back, building up momentum.
Aquarius pleaded and begged, tears exploding from her eyes. "2..." He continued. Aqua could feel the teeth of the shark digging in to her soft skin, she could her the crunch of her bone beneath its jaws. She felt like death was below her.
"1!" He yelled. Aqua screamed until her lungs hurt, see braced for impact, but it never came. Taurus was simply holding her normally. She was gasping and panting for air. He walked her over to the waterfall, she was still in his arms. She didn't struggle anymore.
She was holding on to him tightly and silently crying. Droplets of water began to plop on her face and body as he stepped into the waterfall. They felt good on her face, she opened her mouth to catch the water to drink. Her hair was stuck to her face. "Your underwater now." Taurus continued to hold her with no visible sign of being tired. Aqua glared at him still angry for what he had done.
"Are you mad?" Taurus asked. "Of course I am!" Aqua looked away from him. "Did you really mean it when you called me a bastard?" He said with a hurt face. Aqua looked at him and melted at his hurt features. She put a hand on his cheek "I didn't mean it, I'm sorry." She smiled. "Good!" Taurus nuzzled his face into the knook of her neck. She giggled at the ticklish feeling of him kissing her neck.
He led his kisses to her jaw and then finally her mouth. The water dribbled down his face as they kissed 'underwater'. He placed her down on the rock in a sitting position and pushed away the hair that stuck to her face.
"You look like a mermaid." He said with a dreamy look in his eyes. "Just shut up and kiss me." Aqua kissed him passionately and trailed her hands up and down his smooth torso.
