The cold wind dug into Aqua's skin. The blizzard was at its peak and they had been walking through it for about five hours, the sun peeked at them from the left. Aquarius did not feel good at all. She felt the energy drain from her body at each step and she felt nauseous and dizzy.
She reached her scarf with a trembling hand and tightened it around her neck. Virgo was the farthest ahead, scoping out the area. Scorpio slowed his steps on purpose, sensing something off. Aqua started stumbling, regaining balance and stumbling again.
Her eyes drooped, not because she was tired but she felt a burning sensation behind her eyes.
"Shit." She mumbled which was then followed with a spasm of coughs.
Of course she was getting sick, she chose the correct time to get sick didn't she? A pang of pain in her stomach made her clench her fists but she kept walking.
She will not be a burden, she was the one who got herself in this whole damn situation. The darkness began taking over the light in her eyes. No no no don't pass out, don't pass out. She thought. It didn't help whatsoever. She felt the last of her energy drain from her body and she collapsed face first into the snow.
Scorpio heard the light thud behind him. He whirled around to find Aqua in the snow shivering and curling up into a ball. "Virgo stop! Aqua's down!" He called after her.
He scrambled to where she lay going as fast as he could through the snow. "Shit, what do I do?" He shouted to Virgo.
"Pick her up you dumbass, don't just leave her in the snow!" She answered.
Scorpio didn't know where to put his hands, so he just went for it. Despite being confident in how to play his charms he was really sensitive and careful went it came to touching Aquarius when she was vulnerable. He wrapped one arm around the small of her back and the other at the base of her neck, she was surprisingly light. Aqua opened her eyes and they widened at the sight of Scorpio.
She shook in his arms "let me go! I'm fine!" She grunted.
"No you are not! Don't be stubborn, you passed out." Scorpio shot a deadly glare.
Aqua struggled a bit more and then she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck because she didn't want to fall back into the snow, with the little energy she could muster up. Aqua was shivering furiously, he was so warm. Without thinking she buried her face into his stomach, so warm.
Scorpio held in a blush and caught up to Virgo.
"Hey I found a cave!" She yelled and sprinted to it.
It was dark and dank but it would do. Aqua breathing was ragged and uneven. He placed her on the ground and moved away. She instantly tried finding the warmth again by reaching her arms out at various angles.
She curled up into a ball after not being able to find a source of heat.
Scorpio placed a rough hand on her forehead and flinched away, she was burning up.
"Go grab some snow, we have to cool her down, I will get some food ready." Virgo ordered.
Scorpio rushed outside and grabbed a handful of wet snow.
"Here." He said without emotion.
"Place it on her forehead." She said while digging through Aqua's backpack for food. He sat with his legs crossed and placed the snow on her head. The snow began melting almost instantly. She grimaced and clenched her eyes shut.
Scorpio stared at the lovely Aquarius before him. She looked so vulnerable like this, he could do whatever he wanted, but he didn't want to be that kind of guy. He resisted the temptation and went out to grab some more snow.
Virgo found a protein bar buried at the very bottom. She did find the shakers but decided it was not the time. She mashed up the bar with the bar with her hands and attempted feeding her. Aqua cringed away and trembled with coldness.
Virgo urged her to eat but Aqua swatted her hand which then dropped down to her side in exhaustion. Scorpio came back with two handfuls of snow. "Hey, can you feed her she is not responding to me."
Virgo held up the mashed bar. "She hates me, what makes you think she will respond to me?" Scorpio sat down and placed the snow on her head again. Virgo shrugged her shoulders.
