Jasper clapped for Bradleyâs remarks. âWarner, I applaud you.â
Bradleyâs eyes were sinister. âStop with the sarcasm.â
âItâs quite surprising you even know the term sarcasm.â Jasper scoffed. âYou and I are men. As a proper man, shouldnât you ensure your wife and child have nothing to worry about?â
Jasper did not mince his words and taunted Bradley.
âBoasting in front of women is pointless!
âChadwick has repeatedly threatened Esther, demanding she marry him in exchange for Mandyâs liver donation to you.
âBradley, even if you donât want Mandyâs liver, you should still confront Chadwick!
âDo you believe heâs interested in Esther just because of her looks?
âIf youâre a true man, you should fight for your wife and child like a warrior! Donât merely try to impress your romantic rival!
âDo you have any other plans besides asking Esther to block my number?
âArguing with someone as arrogant as you makes me appear inferior!â
After saying what he wanted to say, Jasper slowly stood up. He looked at the fuming Bradley and spoke calmly. âIf you want to die, do it somewhere far away! Donât taint Esther and Felixâs eyes!â
With that, he walked out of the hospital room in long strides.
Esther gazed at Jasper with worry etched on her face. When she noticed no signs of a fight, she sighed in relief.
âEsther, Iâm leaving now. Iâll keep an eye on Mandy,â Jasper informed her.
âAlright,â Esther replied hesitantly.
Kevin glanced at Bradley from inside the hospital room and saw that he appeared unwell. He automatically shifted his gaze to Esther, fearing Bradley might take out his anger on her once more.
Kevin thought, âThis is bad! Bradley will surely vent his frustration on Esther again!â
Bradleyâs cold and piercing gaze fixed on Esther outside the hospital room.
âCome in!â he commanded.
Kevin was on the verge of advising Esther not to go in, but she swiftly entered âClose the door,â Bradley instructed.
Esther complied, preventing Kevin from prying.
Esther said, âBradley,!-â
Bradley approached Esther with heavy steps, causing her to take a step backward instinctively. She tried to voice her explanation, but her words remained trapped.
With crossed arms and a sneer, Bradley looked at Esther and taunted, âDo you want to explain?â
Esther nervously bit her lip and whispered, âJasper and I just went to see Mandy-â
Bradley abruptly grabbed Esther by her delicate neck and pinned her against the wall, causing her to lose contact with the floor slowly.
âEsther Quill! Your web of lies is revolting!â Bradley barked.
Estherâs eyes welled up from the tight grip on her neck, and she sobbed. âBradley, I was wrong! I wonât do it again, I promise!â
Bradley leaned in dominantly and kissed Esther passionately.
