As Mandy changed her clothes, she anxiously hid in the bathroom to call the mysterious X. “Boss, is this Chadwick guy insane? He wants Esther to marry him and me to marry Bradley? Who in their right mind would suggest such a thing?”

X’s cold, robotic voice shattered the bathroom’s silence. “Do as he says.”

Mandy was stunned by his response. “Do I… Do I really have to marry Bradley?”

“Don’t you think it would be quite amusing when Bradley discovers you’re actually Liliane Anstey?”

After calmly considering this, Mandy had to agree. “Understood.”

Five minutes later, Mandy descended the stairs.

Chadwick looked at her, clearly pleased with her effort to dress up. “Excellent. That’s very considerate of you.”

Suppressing her disgust, Mandy responded with a sweet smile. “Thank you, brother.”

The group arrived at the detention center. Esther couldn’t help but wonder how Bradley would react upon seeing her with Chadwick.

Seizing a moment while Chadwick was-engrossed in conversation with a detention center staff member, she approached Kevin.

“Kevin, can you please keep my agreement with Chadwick a secret until Bradley has his liver transplant?”

Kevin rubbed his temple. “Esther, are you really planning to marry Chadwick?”

Esther subtly shook her head. “Trust me. It’s all for Bradley’s sake.”

Lowering his voice, Kevin cautioned her, “Have you forgotten all the terrible things he’s done to you? If you dare marry Chadwick, I fear he might torment you to death…”

Kevin knew better than anyone that his warning wasn’t exaggerated. Given Bradley’s volatile nature, the threat was entirely plausible.

Putting on a composed front, Esther reassured him, “If it ensures his safety and health, any sacrifice make is worth it.”

After concluding his conversation with the detention center staff, Chadwick walked over to Esther with a malevolent grin. “Well, Esther, it seems you’ll soon be able to divorce Bradley, just as you wanted.”

-Half an hour later, Bradley emerged. His arm was still bandaged, now adorned with fresh bloodstains for added realism.

Upon seeing him, Esther’s heart ached painfully.

Bradley’s eyes locked onto Chadwick with an evil glare. “Chadwick, it’s been a while.”

Chadwick noticed Bradley’s bandaged arm. “I see you’ve been well taken care of.”

Bradley looked at Chadwick in disdain before turning his harsh gaze toward Esther’s beautiful face.”

You’ve got some interesting friends, Chadwick.”

“If you fancy my companions, feel free to spend more time with them,” Chadwick taunted. “Mandy, come here!”

Mandy walked over to Chadwick’s side, offering Bradley a smile.

“Let me introduce you to my half-sister from another mother…”

Chadwick nudged Mandy toward Bradley. Unsteady in her heels, she stumbled into his arms, colliding.
