Estherâs heart softened instantly. Bradley was the man she loved deeply-the man she adored so much that sheâd sacrifice her life for him!
She wouldnât hesitate to donate her liver if it could save him. If her life could rescue him, sheâd willingly give it up.
All the past hatred and grievances faded the moment she learned about his liver cancer. She only wished for his survival now. She even wondered if his past cruelty was due to his illness.
Kevin waited for a long time in the waiting area, growing concerned as Esther stayed inside longer than usual. Why wasnât she coming out? Had Bradley done something to her again?
Kevin was genuinely worried about Esther being alone with Bradley, so he approached a staff member and requested to see Bradley himself.
The staff member responded gruffly, âWhy the rush? Just sit and wait!â
Kevin had no choice but to sit on the bench, repeatedly checking his phone.
An indescribable sense of passion filled the air in the visitorsâ room.
Bradley wickedly said, âEsther, call your lawyer and withdraw the appeal when you leave!â
Esther was tidying her hair and paused. She instinctively wanted to agree but fell silent with her back against him.
A sinister glint flashed in Bradleyâs eyes as he grabbed Estherâs hair and looked sharply at her flushed face. He warned, âBehave yourself! Understand?â
Tears welled up in Estherâs eyes as she looked at Bradley. The thought of his terminal illness and the constant threat to his life overwhelmed her.
She suddenly hugged Bradleyâs strong waist as if fearing he would vanish if she let go.
âBradley, letâs stop fighting, arguing, and getting a divorce. Letâs focus on your treatment! As a family, we-
Before Esther could finish her sentence, Bradley pinched her chin with one hand.
âWho told you Iâm sick?â
Esther looked up at Bradleyâs furious face. âBradley, I already know. I know you have liver cancer, and Iâm willing to donate my liver to you! We-â
Bradley snorted, his tone mocking. âYou want to donate your liver to me? Do you think youâre worthy?â
âBradleyâ¦â Esther murmured with longing.
Bradley stopped pinching Estherâs chin and wiped his hand in disgust. âEsther, donât look at me with that kind of expression. Itâs disgusting. Just remember one thing-you owe me a child.â
Esther didnât want anything else right now. She just wished for Bradley to stay safe and healthy. Her eyes were filled with tears as she gazed at Bradley and finally asked the question weighing on her heart. âBradley, where have you hidden our daughter?â
