âLet-â
A man dressed in an Armani suit looked at Esther lewdly, shamelessly admiring her tear-filled eyes.
âTsk, tsk, tsk, your frightened expression is quite exciting, I must say!â
Fingers tainted with the scent of cigarette smoke brushed against Estherâs red lips, and a suggestive breath tickled her ear. Be a good girl and listen, understand?â
Fearfully, Esther nodded.
The man laughed arrogantly, triumphant. âYou didnât really think Iâd spare you, did you?â
Esther forcefully bit the manâs finger, causing him to wince in pain and furrow his brows.
He lifted Esther and unceremoniously threw her onto a bed with cloud-patterned sheets.
Estherâs head hit the wooden bed frame, and she saw stars. Ignoring the pain, she immediately tried to get up and escape.
The man grabbed her hair and straddled her. âEsther, do you think the Quills can protect you?â
Esther glared at him and warned, âArenât you afraid of retaliation from the Quills?â
âThe mere Quills? Iâm not afraid, you get it?â
The man pulled a candy from his suit pocket, used one hand to hold Estherâs chin, and roughly stuffed it into her mouth.
Esther instinctively knew that whatever the man was giving her was not something good. She used her tongue to press against her palate, trying to prevent the candy from entering her body.
11 However, the man was prepared. He took a bottle of mineral water and poured it into her mouth. The colored candy dissolved upon contact with the water.
Estherâs beautiful face became even more alluring due to the spilled water.
âLet⦠go of me.â
Estherâs face turned red from the choking.
âEsther, you donât really expect the Quills to turn against my father just for you, do you?â
The man crossed his arms and looked at Esther mockingly.
âAre you thinking of shouting for help now?
âThink about what others will do when they see you and me together.
âIâm single now, so you can only become my wife!â
The man extended a finger and lightly traced the water on Estherâs face. With an intoxicated expression, he gazed at her flushed face due to coughing.
âDonât worry. I wonât do anything to you now.â
The man towered over her as if he regarded everything and everyone with disdain in his eyes.
He had encountered and slept with numerous women, but none had given him the same sense of desire to conquer as Esther did.
When Esther appeared in his line of sight, his first thought was to obtain her at any cost.
She wanted to be a pure-hearted maiden, but he wanted her to be stained with wicked seduction.
Since she walked past him, his mind had been flooded with countless thoughts. Even if he offended the Quills for a moment of pleasure, he did not care.
He was convinced that the Quills would not break ties with his family over Esther even if he did do anything to her. They might even marry her off to him for the sake of pride.
In any case, he would be the ultimate winner.
âIn five more minutes, youâll be begging me!â
The man kept his eyes on his wristwatch.
Esther felt as if a tiny spark had ignited within her body. Finally realizing the situation, she desperately shouted, âHelp!â
