Esther couldn’t hear the rest of Jasper’s words. She was completely absorbed by the pregnancy test report in her hand. She kept checking the numbers, fully aware that Jasper wouldn’t make a joke about something like this.

Jasper looked puzzled. “Esther, based on your current HCG levels, you need an ultrasound.”

“Jasper, I can’t do it here. If news of my pregnancy gets out, I won’t be able to finalize my divorce with Bradley.”

Esther’s words left Jasper bewildered. He asked cautiously, “Why can’t you finalize it? Bradley treated you poorly before because he believed you harmed Mr. Thomas. Now that the video. has been exposed, it’s clear you didn’t hurt him. He doesn’t love you either. Divorcing seems like the logical choice, doesn’t it?”
