Jasper’s words brought some comfort to Esther. She ran her fingers gently through Felix’s hair and asked hesitantly, “When’s the right time to tell everyone that Felix is alive?”

“I believe it’s wise to reveal it during the divorce trial. If we share the news too soon, Bradley might use Felix’s safety to pressure you into compromising,” Jasper explained, echoing Esther’s concerns.

Esther sighed, worried about exactly that. She nodded and said, “Then, for now, let’s keep Felix’s presence a secret.”

“Don’t stress. The court date is already set. Just enjoy your time with Felix and trust the lawyer. Ms. Hill is a pro at handling divorces, and her success rate is very high.”

Jasper’s calming words eased Esther’s anxiety.

Engrossed in finishing his plate of shrimp balls, Felix hadn’t spoken during this conversation.

After lunch, Jasper returned to his company.

Having taken a commercial flight back this time, Esther and Felix felt a bit tired compared to their usual private jet travels.

To help Felix adjust to the time difference, Esther let him take a short nap.

After his shower, Felix felt refreshed and clean.

“Mommy, are you really going to divorce Daddy?”

Esther gently caressed Felix’s face and said, “Yes, I’m getting a divorce.”

“After the divorce, are you going to marry Uncle Jasper?” Felix looked at Esther with his innocent eyes seriously.

Esther replied without hesitating, “Felix, Mommy won’t be with Uncle Jasper.”

“Mommy, you can marry anyone you want. I’ll support you.” Felix hugged Esther’s slender waist and spoke with understanding. “As long as you’re happy, it’s fine with me.”

Esther believed she wouldn’t marry again in her life. Repeating the same error would be unwise, especially after already going through it once due to her youthful lack of understanding.

“Felix, don’t you mind if Mommy divorces Daddy?”

Felix shook his head, his voice full of sweetness. “No, Mommy, I support you.”

“My good boy. Let’s sleep now.”

Felix drifted into a sweet dream in Esther’s embrace.

Esther couldn’t feel any sleepiness. She wondered if her choices were correct. But she couldn’t keep sacrificing for her child. She couldn’t endure Bradley’s torment just for Felix’s sake.

Growing up like this might affect Felix’s mental health.

Lost in thought, Esther finally fell asleep.

“Mr. Warner, the person tracking Mrs. Warner has returned.”

The secretary was in extreme agony, feeling like an accomplice who had placed Esther in a dangerous situation just for money.

She could not accept what Bradley had done to Esther, but she had still chosen to collude with him for the high salary from the Warner Group.

The secretary despised herself for becoming like this.

“Come in.”

The man tracking Esther entered Bradley’s office and greeted, “Mr. Warner.”
