He lightly pinched Sunshine’s round and soft face. “Take her with you.”

Felix poked his head out of Esther’s embrace, acting like a clingy monster. He mischievously called out, “Take me too. I’m a good boy too.”

Sunshine took Jacob’s hand, tilting her little face and sweetly coaxing, “Let’s play with him together!

Okay? Okay?”

Jacob hesitated at Sunshine’s charming request, but before he could respond, his phone rang.
