âIf Estherâs dead, Iâll redeem myself. If Esther isnât dead, Iâll help her escape from you forever.â
Kevin observed the maid kneeling on the floor, well aware of her ulterior motives. But that didnât matter.
She had helped Esther she had facilitated Estherâs escape from Bradleyâs clutches, and that was the right thing to do.
âIf Warner Manor fires you, you can come to me,â Kevin offered Casting one final glance at a furious Bradley, Kevin spoke calmly. âBradley, you donât love her. You actually hate her. So why not let go? Isnât that better?â
âGet lost!â Bradley snarled.
Kevin turned away coldly and left Warner Manor.
The grand Warner Manor stood magnificent with its dazzling lights and splendor. The servants remained silent, afraid to utter a word. Clark also refrained from provoking Bradley, standing silently to the side and waiting for him to calm down.
âTell me how you helped Esther escape!â Bradley demanded.
Countless women in the world desired to become Mrs Warner, and Esther was evidently one of them.
She had already achieved that status, so why did she want to escape? Why?
Fearfully, the maid kneeling on the floor answered, âMr. Warner, it was Madam who approached me first.â
âWhy didnât you inform me when she approached you? Whoâs paying your salary?â Bradley looked down at the materialistic maid before him, resenting that he hadnât been prepared and that Esther had managed to escape Warner Manor so easily due to the maidâs silence.
A shiver ran down the maidâs spine as she pleaded, âMr. Warner, I was wrong.â
Bradley suppressed his rage and inquired, âWhat did you do?â
âShe asked me to make a phone call to Mr. Searle to purchase a wig. I received the wig that same night. After obtaining the wig, I went to Madam, and she helped me disguise myself to look like her.
She also disguised herself as me and left on the shuttle bus. Thatâs all I know. I genuinely donât know anything else.â
The maid had no idea that Estherâs first action after escaping from Warner Manor was to jump into the sea, attempting to end her life. Why did she want to die even after escaping? It would have been better to stay alive!
âTake her away,â Bradley commanded.
He sank back onto the sofa, picking up his tablet to review the surveillance footage. Carefully examining it, he never expected to see Esther leaving in the maidâs uniform. That wretched woman was always against him.
âClark, do you think Esther is dead?â Bradley inquired.
Clark replied calmly, âI donât know, Mr. Warner.â
Based on the maidâs information, no one other than her had conveyed any messages to Jasper on Estherâs behalf. Even after reviewing the surveillance footage, Esther and Jasper seemed to have no opportunity to conspire.
Things appeared calm on the surface, but no one could predict the underlying currents. Considering Jasperâs level of concern for Esther, he wouldnât simply stand by and watch her seek death unless Bradley couldnât fathom that she would jump into the sea!
âThat woman definitely isnât dead.â Bradley said.
How could she take her own life when she didnât believe Felix was dead? Bradley firmly believed that Esther would never die.
Speaking gently, Clark said, âMr. Warner, itâs getting late. Please rest early.â
Bradley left the mansion, heading to Primus Mansion in his limited-edition sports car. Although Esther wasnât currently staying there, Clark had decided to keep Melinda around in case Esther returned to stay in the future.
