âMr. Quill, this is Jasper.â
Oliver calmly requested, âIâd like to see Esther.â
âMr. Quill, itâs widely known that Esther committed suicide by jumping into the sea,â Jasper denied having any knowledge of Estherâs situation.
Oliver didnât press the issue and replied indifferently, âThen please let Esther know that Faye is my elder sister. Itâs her choice whether she wants to meet me or not.â
Oliver had scrolled through all the content on the ThereWithYou account. He saw the innocent infatuation of a young boy and firmly believed that such a person wouldnât just stand by and watch Esther commit suicide in front of him.
They had to resort to this method to dispel Bradleyâs suspicion, fully aware that he might repeat his actions.
âMr. Quill, you may have misunderstood. Itâs widely known that Esther committed suicide by jumping into the sea!â Jasperâs voice lacked any emotion, not even a hint of panic.
Oliver chuckled lightly. âEsther is lucky to have a friend like you. Itâs late now, so I wonât disturb your rest. Goodnight, Mr. Searle.â
Jasper looked at the screen as Oliver ended the call and sighed heavily after a while. He couldnât contact Esther at the moment. He didnât know if Bradley was monitoring him, and he was worried that Bradley would discover Esther was still alive.
Esther woke up on a private island. As she walked out onto the terrace, a female housekeeper in a butler uniform hurriedly approached her and respectfully asked, âMs. Quill, are you awake?
Esther glanced at the housekeeper and inquired, âAre you one of Jasperâs people?â
âMr. Searle instructed me to let you know that you can check the news first when you wake up. âThe housekeeper reached for the TV remote and placed a tablet computer in front of Esther.
âHe also said that you shouldnât go online or contact him for now to prevent tracking. However, if you have any questions, I can relay them to him.â
âThank you, I understand.â Esther didnât expect Jasper to have arranged everything so meticulously after her impromptu fake death.
She looked at the news reports of her death filling the TV screen and felt an indescribable sense of relief. Today was a day worth celebrating. She had finally escaped from Bradleyâs clutches.
The considerate housekeeper brought Esther food and water while Estherâs gaze fell on the latest news.
Liam couldnât find Esther in the sea, so he returned to the hospital to confront Liliane, following the hints from the production team.
Liamâs eyes turned bloodshot as he angrily questioned, âLiliane, why did you lie to me?!â
Liliane looked mockingly at Liam, sitting on the hospital bed, and retorted sarcastically with a smirk.
âWhat did I lie to you about? I never admitted that I was the one who helped you.â âYouâ Liam recalled and realized that Liliane had never actually admitted anything. It was all his own speculation âLiliane, thatâs because youâve been dropping hints!â
Liliane snorted. âLiam, stop blaming everything on me when youâre the foolish one! Youâre so clueless that you canât even recognize your own savior, yet you have the audacity to bother Liam suddenly lost his composure and took a step forward, gripping Lilianeâs throat tightly. It was as if he could only vent his pent-up anger by doing this.
